By the way we have no chance in this game anyway. Skip Bayless picked us to win. Hope is gone.

Well then.....

Or maybe he knows that if he picked Pitt he will get crap for it if we win? He knows the playoff Ravens.

A significant portion of Ben's yards are YAC from Bell. His impact on their offense cannot be understated.

I agree but I'm still expecting him to be out there and good to go. They'll shoot him up with whatever they have to and he'll self-medicate with his herbal remedies LOL

Think there should always be an NFL drug-tester with this guy. Look at him:

No team from Baltimore has EVER beaten a team from Pittsburgh in the playoffs. The Steelers were the last team I wanted to face, but without a fully healthy Bell, we've got a better shot.

I'm not expecting anything, but I know this team CAN win.

Sure can; control the line of scrimmage, stop the bone headed off sides, and shortening their passing game would help.

Still no news on Bell. Hopefully Timmy Jernigan will be fine, we will need him even with Ngata back.

While I initially wanted te Bengals because Dalton is a choker in the playoffs,Joe

never seems to play well against them.

We do match up better against the Steelers imho and Joe has had good games

against them.

We need to manage their blitz packages and get the ball out quick and run,run ,run.

If we cant get the run game going we are in trouble. We need to keep that BIG OGRE BEN

off the field.

First time for everything. Why not us?

I actually like our position in this game. Steelers are 3-0 in playoffs against us. With Bell not at full strength they will be throwing the ball quite often, testing our secondary. We will be underdogs, but i believe our offense can come out and start a lot quicker. I think we played uninspired football the last two weeks but we will be focused and ready for the Steelers. Throw in the blowout last time in Pittsburgh and I think we will be more prepared and have the right intensity. It will come down to how fast Flacco gets going and our pass rush. Ngata will be perfect, he is fresh and will require more attention. We can win this.

Good news:  Per Harbs, Jernigan could play Sat.

It was good news that it wasn't season ending.  But the way Harbs phrased it leads me to believe both Jernigan and Monroe won't be playing Saturday.

Maybe I'm just being pessimistic but I really hope both these guys can go.

Trying to do other stuff but I just can't stop thinking about this game... I really think either team could win, but it's just so painful to imagine being 0-4 against those guys in the playoffs. Hopefully that'll be enough motivation - we are due for a breakout game. No more slow starts please, and hopefully our secondary plays their best possible game.

I would be really concerned if Jernigan couldn't go if Ngata wasn't eligible.  But since 92 is back with 5 weeks rest, we should be ok.  Cody may get some snaps to spell Ngata.

Monroe not available really concerns me.  The Steelers got to Flacco the last game w/ a healthy O-Line.

I want them to face the Pats. The Ravens seem to do better against the Patriots than any other team in the playoffs.

I don't want them to face the Bengals. For whatever reason the Bengals have had the Ravens' number this year and I'd rather not test the old motto Third's Time A Charm against them.

I agree. I think we have a get back game in us vs the Patriots. Their receiving corps is not dynamic and our pass rush could be disruptive vs them. Brady can get very gun shy vs. us. I want the patriots

The team we must overcome is Pittsburgh.  Antonio Brown had his way with us last game and the fear is we do not match up against him.

Hopefully Bell is out. Pittsburgh is dangerous to us with Brown.

If I remember correctly (I've tried my best to avoid thinking about the last game), it was Monroe who got destroyed by James Harrison who was fresh at the time. I actually don't see much of a downgrade in Hurst when he's playing next to KO. I'm cool with Yanda and Ursch handling that right side as well. Good thing we have depth this year along both lines.

agreed Monroe is not good with dynamic players.....don't even think we are missing him

I know we are focused on Pittsburgh, but I can't help but look forward to the opportunity (potentially) to go into New England again for the Divisional round. Anybody been over to their forums? Half that fan base is scared to death of seeing us again. It's hilarious.

The real champion is who ever goes home with the ring.  Doesn't matter what path you take.  There is nothing wrong with taking the path of least resistance.

"The ring"...lol...let's gets past the Steelers first before talking about the ring...

THIS JUST IN: MRI does not show any ligament damage to Steelers RB LeVeon Bell's knee.

https://twitter.com/SportsCenter/sta...164419/photo/1

Saw Le'Veon Bell walking gingerly to his car. No structural damage means he can play if he can deal with weakness, stiffness. Meds can help

second link is dead......and not to wish bad on anyone, but I like the one below better. Certainly would even things up a bit.

Don't know if this has already been posted, but it "doesn't look good" for Le'Veon Bell to play against us on Saturday:

Either way, Le'Veon Bell won't be at full speed, even if he does end up playing - and that gives us a nice advantage. Still, the challenge of defending the pass will be very difficult; keeping Antonio Brown under control is crucial to keeping Pittsburgh points off the board.

That was taken out of context.  I wasn't talking about the Ravens.  Was commenting on someone else's post about playing the best teams to determine who is the 'ultimate' champion.

Over on the Steelers forum the vast majority seem pretty confident that they're going to trounce us on Saturday.  I can't say that I blame them to be honest, they've been playing very good football (for the most part) over the last couple of weeks, while we've looked pretty darn bad.

If we beat them they are going to be so mad lol.

I believe there is a significant down grade between Hurst and Monroe. Hurst can (sometimes) hold his own in pass protection, but our run game suffers when he is in. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that our run game will be important in this opening round of the playoffs and so Monroe's presence (if effective) is important.
