Week 17 - Baltimore Ravens (9-6) vs. Cleveland Browns (7-8)

1,746 posts in this topic

Scratch that, it's only been done eight times by Marino, Manning, Brady, Stafford, and Brees. Off all those names, Brees is the only one to do it more than once, so yeah, 4000 is still a big deal

How many and what are the names for 4k? Its pretty run of the mill IMO.

Rivers is better than Flacco. :)

Not today, not today!!  KC Chiefs have become my second favorite team as of today!

it's been done 50 plus times. Probably 100. The list didn't go that far

I would like to see Flacco get 4 g's but I don't think my heart could take it if a freak interception was returned for a td and then a freak onside kickoff. Playing it safe than worrying about 4 g's is the right move. He gets paid no matter how many yards. He'll do it again next year. Playoffs baby !!!

This right here!    And he has a career year in touchdowns, so there is that.

5,000. Doubtful we ever see that with Joe, but that's fine.

Yeah, it's pretty standard, but it's still a big deal because of how few reach 5000

Didn't see that

On the play that was stopped late in the 4th (for some sort of penalty), he was in the backfield rushing the passer.  The same thing happened with him last game, where he got mildly injured and then came back in.  I think he'll be ok.

Those are usually the guys that throw about 650, 700 times a season and that's never going to be the Ravens offense with the coordinators they've hired

Actually, I just read that he is seriously injured, which is strange, because he definitely got back in the game.  I hope it's not too serious.

I really don't know who I want. I guess Cincy

I can go either way.  Cincy always gives us fits.  But they also tend to choke in big games.  But the possibility of beating the Steelers in the playoffs I can't resist.  Even if they should destroy on us on paper.

7 years since Joe Flacco and John Harbaugh came to the Ravens.

6 playoffs.

Every hater in Baltimore of these guys can seriously go find another team to root for.

I'm proud of this team.  To overcome EVERYTHING they have to get this far.

And in the meantime the Chargers with apparently Phillip "he's better than Flacco" Rivers folds like a house of cards against..............a backup QB.

Just needed to quote this again.

I think he would have been closer to 5k than 4k if our receivers had performed better. Maybe they wake up now that they are in the tournament!

Also, who doesn't love steeler week? Would also like to cross off "beating Pitt on the road with a heathy big Ben in playoffs" off Joe's resume

That is actually my pool. If the two things that we need to happen, don't happen, I will retire from pool pics FOR LIFE!

Do it, Ravens and KC...DO IT!

I dont know if this has been talked about yet.  I am not going to review all 89 some pages.  Forgive me.

I think todays slow start was 100% completely intentional.

Here is why,,,
We needed the Chiefs to win. The Chiefs needed us to loose. If we blew out the Browns too quick, the Chiefs could have laid down and let the Chargers win which would have taken us out.
The Ravens waited until the Chiefs game was well in hand before we turned up the heat.

*shrugs*

Gotta give it to the Ravens.  They tend to keep things interesting to the very last second.

Those of you that say this P-Rock make it seem like their trashy offensive gameplay is planned.  Lol!

I'm obviously not going to say good luck in the playoffs because truthfully I wish somehow Pittsburgh and Baltimore could both be eliminated next weekend.  :P

BUT I will say good game and congrats on making it again.  Honestly I'm shocked Cleveland held on as long as they did and I give them credit for trying.  I knew they were the inferior team and didn't expect anything different as far as the result goes.
