Week 17 Discussion (Other Teams)

400 posts in this topic

This is it...... the second saddest time of the year, first of course being the Super Bowl is over and no more football. The regular season is about to end and playoff spots are pretty much locked up, with seeding being the only mystery to solve.

Key Games:

Chargers vs Chiefs: We know what's at stake in this game. We'll forgive you for last week Andy Reid but you better not screw this one up. You beat them once already, just do it again.

Panthers vs Falcons: Um.......

Lions vs Packers: The only game that has playoff implications and will actually be a good game to watch. The Lions are looking for the season sweep against the Pack, winner will claim the NFC North and a potential bye week. The loser, gets the 6th seed.

Cardinals vs 49ers/Rams vs Seahawks: So let's put it this way, Seattle can claim the number one seed in the NFC for the second straight season with a win. In the chance the Rams beat Seattle and the Cardinals beat the 49ers, then the Cardinals can win the West and get a bye. Whomever doesn't win the West, goes to either Carolina or Atlanta in the Wild Card Round.

AFC North:

Bengals @ Steelers: *Throws up in mouth*, Thanks Peyton..... for nothing!

The Falcons will beat the Panthers, since the game is being played at the Georgia Dome; and, then, Atlanta will upset the QB-less Arizona Cardinals in the wild card-round of the playoffs.

That's my bold guarantee!

its a shame that the Cardinals were depending so heavily on Carson Palmer, Drew Stanton is meh and Lindley is complete crap.

But, that's been the Cardinals problem ever since Kurt Warner retired. Arizona had built-up tons of talent between then and now; however, it wasn't until they got Palmer that the team started winning. It goes to show how important the quarterback position is. Plus, it makes you wonder how dangerous the Cardinals would be if they had a franchise QB...

Should have taken Bridgewater or Carr with their first rounder :-)

Alex Smith is out with a lacerated spleen, Chase Daniels will be starter.  :(

If it's any consolation, Daniels suited up against the Chargers in week 17 last season and was 21/30 for 200 yards and a TD. The final score was 27-24 Chargers thanks to a last second FG to boost them into the playoffs. So maybe it's a good thing it's not Alex Smith?

My Bold prediction is the complete opposite lol. Panthers will beat the Falcons on the road. Then Carolina will upset the Cardinals in the wild card round of the playoffs lol.

Back in week 7, in the loss against the Chiefs, Rivers was 17/31 for 205 yards. He threw 2 TDs and 1 interception. On the defensive side, both Hali and Houston each had 1 sack on Rivers, while Hali had a forced fumble. The lone interception came from Kurt Coleman. Final score was 23-20, let's hope it's the same results.

To make this even better for the Chiefs, someone line up a $1000 gift card to the best All You Can Eat Buffet to give to Andy Reid for winning tomorrow. He needs more incentive!

Teddy bridgewater looks better every week. Vikings got a steal all because of a workout in shorts finally didn't go perfect.

Gotta hope that Chiefs defense can hold Rivers

They've done a good job so far. Sacked him on a critical 3rd down.

Chase Daniel doesn't look so bad either.

Touchdown KC!!!

Also, kinda funny moment, the guy who runs around with the flag started running, paused in the background and then took off again as soon as he saw the touchdown signal.

KC almost got their WR TD, but Bowe fumbles into into the end zone and TE Kelce recovers. Wow. Guess it just isn't allowed to happen.

Too nervous to keep watching the Ravens game.  Sunday Ticket lets me watch all the games.  Enjoying seeing Buff frustrating NE a bit, and keeping fingers crossed watching the Chiefs.  Happy last regular season Sunday!

the Redskins situation has been laughable to me all year. From the Cousins can't be traded because he may be the future starter over RG3. To all this RG3 drama, coach wanting colt McCoy to be his QB ( some one to avoid turnovers as much as possible similar to Dalton ).

All the while it was never mention how abysmal their defense has been all year, how horrible the offensive line play has been that Trent Williams has been injuried limited most of the year.
