Rick Wagner Out For The Season

While I won't say we are dead in the water, but wow, it's gonna hurt replacing him. He was performing at a pro bowl level. I hope this injury doesn't linger next year.

Ouch and Monroe is hobbled. Maybe Hardhead will get Hurst some help? Doubt it

But wait... I thought the future LT of our franchise didn't need help?

Could it be more hypocrisy from the fanbase?

Will be interesting to see what happens. If Monroe is out as well, I would imagine they'd start Hurst at LT and move Yanda to RT, putting Urschel at RG.

People have said Hurst is the future at LT?

O, absolutely. You'll fine several on this page alone... just wait. I know Drew P was a big advocate, and there are no shortage of others.

And make no mistake... when I say future, I don't mean in 3-4 years. I mean there are literally fans who want us to cut Monroe this offseason.

Figured that one of Wagner and Monroe would be done for the year.  I'm just hoping it's not both at this point.

And luckily, both of our G's are capable of kicking outside to either T spot, although I'm sure we'd rather not have that happen.

The Browns were going to be a tough out already. I don't see them rolling over. They'll be pumped to play spoiler and Kruger will be excited and Joe Haden seems to be playing a lot better than when we first met. I just don't want our guys to get embarrassed again.

When it rains, it pours... =[ Man Ricky has been great for the vast majority of the year too. Pro bowl caliber according to different analysts.

Oh my. Hasn't Monroe been injured all season?

Agreed, though I'm not sure expecting KO to be any better for one game puts us in a better spot.

If Monroe is out, I'd fully expect them to roll with Hurst at LT. They did that earlier in the season, and while it wasn't great, it wasn't horrible either. He had some good games and some bad games.

Maybe we can move Yanda to right tackle and Urchel to guard. That's what I think will happen. Of course if Monroe is out, then I see Hurst coming in at LT.

Agreed. That was the alignment at the end of the Texans game.

I kinda don't want to make the playoffs after hearing this news, I just want the season to end and for us to get healthy. Flacco is going to get killed in the playoffs with a bad offensive line.

Just like last year, the stars won't align this year for us.

I like when I see my great predictions being recognized on this board  If you recall around mid-season Hurst replaced Monroe on several series and it wasnt because he was hurt. Sure ok line him up against the best player in the NFL and say he sucks because he didnt manhandle Watt, sure ok. Unlike other posters on here whom only copy and paste useless stats; YPC, QBR, YAC, (LOL) .at least I have the guts to post foresight and not hindsight.

Actually, it was because he was hurt. I'm not sure why you think it wasn't.

And nobody said he sucks because he got beat by Watt. Hurst started a handful of games, and was highly inconsistent doing it. Got beat like a drum against Indy (with no great individual pass rusher), and was a major liability against the Falcons (again, with no great individual pass rusher). He looked good in other games, such as Carolina.

I think most people that watch football agree that he is a downgrade from Monroe.
