Truth. It's a question of whether you'd rather have an eye gouged out or a tooth pulled with pliers.

Tooth pulled with pliers sounds less painful.

Yeah, that's a pretty easy choice lol.

Just like preferring to lose against the Bengals than lose against the Steelers!

Hey, at the end of the day, it is what it is. Joe can have the best game of his career but will it matter? That's the point. It sucks to see it come down to this.

Ok! We are coming up on the last game of the season and there has been seven new additions to the 53 man roster during the past ten days. I don't know who will be active on game day but here's the list and uniform numbers just in case. I also included the date signed to the 53 man roster.

53 DE, Steven Means 12/23

48 LS, Patrick Scales 12/18

42 CB, Chris Greenwood 12/17

77 OL, Ryan Jensen 12/16

79 DT, Casey Walker 12/16

43 RB, Toussaint Fritzgerald 12/13

23 CB, Antoine Cason 12/13

Let's enjoy this season's final game.

Happy Holidays!

It isn't a case of wanting to face the Steelers. It's the other choice being the Bengals.

You've been saying how the Bengals have our number, would you rather have to go play them in their house? Potentially being Dalton's first playoff win?

I just think we know the Steelers better so I'd rather go play them at the ketchup field.

If we were playing better right now, like a couple games back, I wouldn't care. It would be some poetic justice to knock the Bengals out. But if we do get in, I think we need that one game before we even have a chance at getting hot. I think our chances are better versus the Steelers.

Knowing the Steelers better and being able to beat them in a playoff game are two entirely different things.  The Ravens have yet to out shine them on that particular stage.  I want no part of the Steelers cause I don't feel that the Ravens...these Ravens....and how they have played here lately down the stretch...can beat them in that type of pressured game.  The Steelers have improved and play with a sense of purpose and urgency while the Ravens have and do not!

I don't recall that I have been saying that.

Merry Christmas Mili!  You're probably right, but you never know.............

We win, KC wins, we're in.

And while KC hasn't had a TD to a WR all year, they'll be in arrowhead. They can do it.

And if not? I'll take a 10-6 season. Get healthy, and come back strong next year.

And fans do not determine if we deserve the playoffs. If they win and get in, they deserve it. If they lose, they don't deserve it. If they win and don't get in, they don't deserve it. If you get in, you deserve it. Period.

I strongly disagree with this. I think if this team misses the playoffs, despite the secondary injuries, it will be the most disappointing season in recent memory. This team is top 5 in the league talent and coaching staff wise. Different aspects of the team have come up short in different games. This team has the talent to threaten any team in the tournament. If they don't get in, that's a major disappointment.

Do we call this game super critical or was the Texans game bestowed the honor?  We are home against our rivals.  There is no choice for any hope thereafter without the last game win here at home.  This is the crossroads.  Besides, I am going and I want delerious crowd stimulation, tasty food and decent beer.  Any one else going?

Preach! Can I get an amen?

Amen... jacket has a point.  My disappointment (and thats all it is-a view point)  is with fans who throw in the towel, quit, talk draft picks already, want coaches in here that once were here, want  to dump Pees,Kubiak or Harbs now when we had the high life a month ago.  This is a discussion and we should respect anothers opinion.  Really, if we were stock holders, complaints are  predicated on our invested assets.  Who signs the checks?? No one in here does.   Perhaps the only team meriting such unique abuse are the stock holder owner Packers.

In the Oline,LB and SpTeams department I can agree with this. Coaching staff? Meh but there is a lot of great coaching staffs out there. A lot of our record was based on us sweeping the NFCSouth but what if we'd faced any of the other NFC divisions. Do you really think we would have went 4-0?

As for the Browns they got the mighty Conor Shaw or whatever his name is starting and basically we're gonna have to depend on our skill players(not top 5) and our weakened OLine to put up enough pts and not lose the turnover battle. Ravens 17- Browns 12(4FGs/Bend but don't break)

And then what? Pray and hope. Ravens would be a serious longshot. Might be worth that dollar bet that can turn into a hundred. lol.

If I were to go group by group, the Ravens are NOT top five in terms of talent at the following positions:

QB, RB, WR, TE, CB, S. I think we are top 5 in OL and linebacker, with it being debatable whether we are top 5 on the DL.

I don't think anybody realistically thinks this is a top five team in the NFL from a pure talent perspective. We have talented segments on this team for sure, but we've also got some mediocre-talented segments on this team.

Teams with top 5 talent are generally capable of overcoming injuries and handling a softer schedule. We did not do that, regardless of whether we get in the playoffs or not.

We may not be far away from having a top 5 teams in terms of talent, but we certainly aren't there yet.

There is no "OR" in my opinion.

I dont get how people can label one game more important than another.   Come December they are ALL important and significant.

I agree with all of this I bolded!  The Ravens are definitely not a top 5 team or with top 5 talent to me at all and they surely don't play like one from week to week either.  I think they are very mediocre.

Does anyone think that a team that hasn't thrown a touchdown to a wide receiver all year is going to beat the chargers? Highly unlikely. The chargers are so confident right now after that big come back.

Week 7 in San Diego:

Chiefs 23

Chargers 20

Already beat them, in fact it was their first loss that started the Chargers three game losing streak in the middle of the season. We just need a hope and prayer for this one. With both games at 1PM, after we win and that game is still going on, I don't want to be letdown after winning. I really wish the NFL flexed us to 4:00p.m, so that way we can watch the Chiefs/Chargers game at 1 and know by 4 if we have something to fight for or not.

Man!  Based upon how the Ravens play at times. I'm just hoping for a win against the Browns first.

Greatest comment I've ever read.

That's the only response that people understand when they come up with these "lets play Tyrod" uneducated scenarios.

You can't explain to them all the problems associated with such an idea, and they can't be reasoned with. You just have to tell them no and move on.

I'm not too sure any team can overcome 18 players on IR...... oh wait 2008 we had 19 players on IR and still made it all the way to the AFC Championship in Joe's rookie year.

Softer schedule? Has this season taught you anything? Jets, Bucs beat the Steelers, Titans beat the Chiefs 26-10 in week one. The Cowboys crushed the Chiefs 26-10, the same exact score the very next week. The Chiefs weeks later crushed the Patriots 41-14 on MNF. The Seahawks lost at home to the Chargers and Cowboys after the so great "home field advantage".

Softer, Harder Schedule, doesn't matter. Any Given Sunday has ruled the 2014 season.

Any given Sunday rules EVERY season... this season is no different. There's nothing different from 2014 in terms of upsets... they happen every season.

But, at the end of the day, there's a direct correlation between teams with weaker SOS and wins. That correlation has remained pretty consistent over time, and its not likely to change anytime soon.

We know for a fact that schedule comes into play, and its perhaps the greatest indicator of why the AFC North is so strong in terms of record. Every team in the division has at least two losses within the division, so there's no dominant team within the division. So we pretty much know that, in general, the AFC North (and the Ravens especially) are getting their wins from the AFC South and NFC South teams that they are playing.

Um no lol. If you flip it, we play at 1 and they play at 4. So we win, and we are all excited thinking our playoff hopes just got better, only to be let down by a Chargers win. I'd rather them play first, then we play so I know whether to be excited or not about us winning.

I don't know about either of you guys, but I'm covering up the scoreboard to the other games on my TV screen. I don't want double the stress.

I thought the Chiefs played (and beat) the Cowboys last year. Also, the Seahawks lost at San Diego, not Seattle.
