I did not mean for any of us to attack eachother. This is a board and it's made up of our thoughts and opinions, what is and is not intelligent can be subjective.

No, its not. Do you honestly believe people are bashing other fans for being frustrated with Sunday's outcome?

Read the entire posts that people provide. They are being bashed for their incredibly unintelligent solutions to problems that may or may not exist.

Yes, I absolutely do. I've seen it. It's called looking down. Who says anything you say is more reasonable than the next person???? It's all perspective. But you clearly don't get that.

THIS IS THE POINT.

I actually appreciate his posts. They are much more intelligent and insightful than most posts. Sure he's arrogant, but hey, so am I... Lol. I'm just glad he posts things that actually contribute to the discussion other than "Joe sucks and so does Kubiak! Fire everybody! Ahhh I'm angry!" He doesn't do that. He thinks before he posts and I love that.

It's fine, is jut the way he goes about it. Don't belittle people.

But isn't "belittling" people subjective and opinionated anyway?

I don't call people names. I directly make statements based on what other people say. In the end, nobody thinks that the majority of what I say isn't factual. You yourself just agreed that the majority of fans are ignorant to begin with... all I'm doing is pointing it out more than others.

Nobody gets it more than me. What I don't think you get it is that you are assuming that everybody has perspective to begin with.

Remember, its a discussion forum. The idea of a discussion forum is based upon DISCUSSION. There are no shortage of people who simply can't handle discussion. They believe that a discussion forum is for yelling, screaming, cursing out players and coaches, demanding for people get fired, and then complaining about other fans when somebody says something that is contradictory to what they say. They write this off as "attacking", when in fact, it is under the broad umbrella of DISCUSSION.

Yes, but when "discussion" is made....regardless of how rant, logical thoughts, etc. posters pass judgement. That was my point from the very beginning. That soapbox syndrome.

So what if they do? Aren't we all adults? You're judged on a daily basis on a variety of things, some of which are valid and some of which are invalid.

Its a discussion board, and when counter-arguments are prevalent, things tend to get heated and can escalate to a judgmental level. In fact, I'd say with men, its almost guaranteed it will. It happens in every single avenue you'll ever see debate or counter-point discussion.

But again... so what? If it somehow manages to offend somebody (which I don't see how it possibly could), then you're probably not the sort of person who can have a discussion without getting offended anyway.

Merry Christmas to you guys! GB wishes you a Merry Christmas and are you guys in the postseason? What needs to happen for you to get in?

In short... win more games than we did. We have outs, but not a lot of them.

Accept it? Yes. Do nothing to attempt to change it? No, particularly when the board itself is perceived as having a majority of ignorant posters.

Please don't confuse the Forums with the Blogs. Two entirely separate levels.

I do second your the opinion that these are DISCUSSION forums, though. This is not a place to just post a comment. Posters need to understand that their comments may generate discussion.

No, its pretty simple. You're in a discussion board. You're going to get talked down to, because that's how humans react in a discussion with counter-arguments.

If you're an adult with perspective, you can deal with it. If you're not, then you can't.

It really is that crystal clear. No further comments are needed.

And from where I'm sitting... the time thing doesn't seem to be much of an issue for either of us.

So... resident Browns fan is here! What did I miss? :D

Just read the thread about firing Harbaugh (also known as a reminder that this place can always sink to new lows) and you'll be pretty well caught up.

If we win and the Chargers lose, then we get to play the winner of the Bengals Steelers game.

Don't really want to go into Heinz and get stomped on once again in the playoffs.

would you rather go to the Bengals, who recently have our number, and potentially give Dalton his first playoff win? Not me!

I would rather lose to the Bengals than lose to the Steelers again in the playoffs.  I've been disheartened for most of this season, and having the Steelers eliminate us from the playoffs for a fourth straight time would just be icing on the depressing cake.

Not necessarily talking about which team I'd want to face (I don't want to face either of them).

I would agree if Dalton already had a playoff victory. Since he doesn't, I'll take the Steelers.

Yeah much like the Steelers getting Tebowed, it would be much more humiliating to be Dalton's first playoff victory.

aaron rodgers.

done.  he had the most sack, yet made history in NFL books.

he was also one of the least pressured quarterbacks in the league and his sacks were widely due to his holding onto the ball

Yeah, fair points. i'm just getting frustrated with the team not showing up. When did we last have a good win over a good team? I can't recall one. We've lost to virtually every team in the Playoffs or the hunt, barring NFC South teams.

True, but even so, our wide receivers go missing against half the teams we play. Torrey Smith needs to develop his game, he's knocked around too easily, and needs to catch more passes over the middle.

Honestly speaking, we don't have the offensive players or secondary to contend in the post season. As much as I love the team, nothing this year would lead me to believe otherwise.

The only good playoff bound team we beat was Spittsburgh. While we beat every team in the NFC South,

that's not saying much when the winner of that division will make it into the playoffs with a losing record. So, if somebody wants to embellish our resume, I guess one could say we beat two playoff

bound teams this year. Frankly, that ain't much to "crow" about. To hear the Texans talking, you would think they lost to a really good team yesterday. If it makes them feel better to say they beat a

really good team yesterday, that's fine but we're not a really good team.

IMO Torrey will never be a receiver that can be trusted to run a crossing pattern. It takes a

fearless receiver like Steve Smith was in his prime. Torrey is too soft. He slipped making his cut

yesterday on one of Joe's passes that was picked off. On another long pass, he cut off his route due to a cramp in his leg. How often do you see that in a game?

On your final point, you nailed it. This team isn't good enough to contend in the post-season. If the

team isn't even competitive in a game that meant so much to us, they definitely won't be competitive if we made the playoffs. In basketball, a good defensive player will contest every shot. In football, a good defensive player will contest every catch. Houston did; we didn't.

The team was like a soap opera this year. We have a real discipline problem!

Completely wholeheartedly 135% disagree

I could not stomach another playoff loss to the steelers

Seeing people actually thinking that is quite surprising tbh

I could accept another Bengals loss. To see the smug smiles on the Steelers players and Tomlin, no thanks. I have nightmares about the 10 playoff game and always see that damn Mike Tomlin shadow boxing clip image in my head.

Be careful of what you wish for.  Some of you cats are in here actually calling for playing the Steelers in a playoff game?  Are you serious?  Can't be!  Smh!  I believe that they've bounced us out of the dance every time we went looking for them.  The Raven advanced to those AFC Championship games because their road didn't have to go through the Steelers.  They were completely out of the picture.  To have to "go through" them is gut-wrenching cause that is when they seem to play their best ball and we our very worst.  No thanks!

Let's get by the Browns first and hope the Chargers lose and then we'll talk who we play in the playoffs!

I don't care who we would face in the play off; just please God let's us in the dance.

I want to see another week of Ravens game after this coming Sunday, in all the seriousness....

It isn't a case of wanting to face the Steelers. It's the other choice being the Bengals.

You've been saying how the Bengals have our number, would you rather have to go play them in their house? Potentially being Dalton's first playoff win?

I just think we know the Steelers better so I'd rather go play them at the ketchup field.

If we were playing better right now, like a couple games back, I wouldn't care. It would be some poetic justice to knock the Bengals out. But if we do get in, I think we need that one game before we even have a chance at getting hot. I think our chances are better versus the Steelers.

Honestly, whether its PIT or CIN, losing to either one would really suck

Truth. It's a question of whether you'd rather have an eye gouged out or a tooth pulled with pliers.
