That QB didn't beat us. Their defense did.

Remember that we beat Ben earlier this season...

Exactly.

I hate when people say that the other QB out played Flacco. It's like, Arian Foster threw the dang TD pass that beat us so A. That's wrong and B. There Defense made us look like hungover freshman playing a varsity game.

You see doom and gloom. I see calling a spade a spade.

Hypothetical. Ravens go to the playoffs, storm the playoffs, and defeat the Seahawks, Cowboys, or Packers in the Superbowl. Do you eat crow?

Because that's what I see when so many people are quick to bash a team they're supposed to cheer for. Doom and gloom, pessimism that we shouldn't be wielding. Our fanbase is spoiled, and needs to get over it. We may or we may not go into the playoffs. When's the last time we were 1 and done under Harbs? Never. Ever. Never. Not in 2008 with a rookie QB. Not in 2009, nor 2010, nor 2011, definitely not 2012.

Last year we would have been one and done, so for that I'm thankful for the 8-8 record. This year? This year all we need is Playoff-Joe, and we can beat any time in the post season, even if our secondary didn't even show up physically.

Any given Sunday is a truth. Remember 2012 and what people said about us then.

Nobody eats crow on these boards... nobody.

I challenged all the Juan Castillo bashers to come forward and praise him for the dramatic increase in HIS offensive lines production this season... and I got crickets.

On these boards, there's a generally accepted notion that fans are above criticism and above reproach. They just write it off as "this is a fanboard where I can see what I want when I want without consequence, responsibility, or even a vague sense of intelligence".

If we win and the Chargers lose, then we get to play the winner of the Bengals Steelers game.

Don't really want to go into Heinz and get stomped on once again in the playoffs.

I don't either, but I'd also like to see us walk into Heinz and take their lunch money. Which... quite frankly, I think we could do in a theoretical rubber match. For either team. Minus a secondary, we very nearly beat the Bengals earlier this year. Minus a secondary, we probably would have won at Heinz Field if our line had played better and Flacco played better.

I could see us knowing how to play Pittsburgh and or the Bengals right this time around, and winning that/those games.

Woudn't that be a hell of a playoff stretch.

Win @ Heinz Field Wild Card

Win @ Denver/New England Division

Win @ The Jungle AFC Championship

It wasnt juans o-line that improved it was kubes' s system that got the ball out quicker, thus joe doesnt get sacked as much. What about yesterday when joe was a punching bag? Did you still demand that we praise Castillo?

Zero to do with pass protection. How about the running game? Did that not improve exponentially this season? Who's responsible for that?

Let me guess... Kubiak? The guy who runs a nearly identical blocking scheme and concept as... Juan Castillo?

What do you know... in the end, it always seems to come back to personnel doesn't it?

So people should just accept the Ravens rolling over with the easiest remaining path to the playoffs? No. People get frustrated. And once is one thing. Twice -- especially back to back -- is a pattern. People lean to far to the left or right on this stuff. One group is doom and gloom sure. The other is all "aww shucks guys we have next week. You just never know." Well guess what it's next week and they are in a super precarious position. We have to depend on a QB-less team who hasn't even throw a TD to a WR in 15 games! (I thought we complained about ours) to beat the Chargers who have overcome scoring deficits like no tomorrow. The Ravens got flat out PUNKED Sunday and fans have a right to be upset.

False...I admitted eating crow for calling Jimmy a bust too early. Now I'm his biggest :229031_cheer:

That's not the point. Nobody is bashing fans for being upset and frustrated. I think I speak for everybody when I say that we all are disappointed and frustrated.

The problem is that when fans offer solutions to potential problems, they're generally highly unreasonable or downright stupid. They don't really think things through. They say "fire Harbaugh", yet when it comes time to decide who to bring in, I hear crickets, which is a pretty strong indication that they either didn't think the entire process through, or agree that whoever we bring in won't be any better.

It can carry all the way back to the Flacco contract. A lot of fans buried it, said that we shouldn't pay him that much, it was a mistake, etc. So, I calmly asked people to specifically identify what they would do differently? Who would be our QB? Why is he better than Flacco? How much would you pay him?

Those are the types of questions and thoughts that INTELLIGENT AND REASONABLE fans should be thinking through. It doesn't require any intellect or reasonableness to come in here and say "fire everybody" and just started spewing off drivel.

In my opinion, knowledge and reasonableness about the team you cheer for are by far the most important aspects of being a "fan". Anybody can waive poms poms, watch the games, be excited when we are winning and be frustrated when we are losing. Those are MINIMUM requirements to be a fan.

What makes a fanbase better is performing above the minimum, and that's what better fans should be striving for.

Technically Arian Foster has the best passer rating in the league.

So with Christmas being on a Thursday, do all of the teams miss a practice day?

If so, that's one less day the "to be named" Browns' QB has to practice.

*it's the little things*

From what I recall from previous seasons, I believe they still do practice on Christmas. I'm sure its probably an earlier in the day practice though, same with Christmas Eve I would imagine.

Your comments are always arrogant. You act like your the most intelligent poster on here. Get off your high horse already. ALL FANBASE are like this. You sure spend a lot of time here with "unitelligent" people.

So, because all fanbases are like that, we just accept that all fanbases are ignorant?

Teachers spend a lot of time with unintelligent people also... I guess they should just move on too.

You're going to have to accept it that no matter what there will be ignorant posters, just the way it is.

Accept it? Yes. Do nothing to attempt to change it? No, particularly when the board itself is perceived as having a majority of ignorant posters.

Prime example for ya Florida... here's a guy that blocks people who say intelligent things to him, because that's beyond his scope.

Just do a quick search of his posts and you'll get a pretty good read on why...

No, its not. Do you honestly believe people are bashing other fans for being frustrated with Sunday's outcome?

Read the entire posts that people provide. They are being bashed for their incredibly unintelligent solutions to problems that may or may not exist.

I actually appreciate his posts. They are much more intelligent and insightful than most posts. Sure he's arrogant, but hey, so am I... Lol. I'm just glad he posts things that actually contribute to the discussion other than "Joe sucks and so does Kubiak! Fire everybody! Ahhh I'm angry!" He doesn't do that. He thinks before he posts and I love that.
