Next up: Browns part 2

It all hinges on tomorrow. If Cincy loses I actually think there's a good chance they lose out. If they win we're basically pinning our hopes on KC, which isn't promising.

Yes, as we saw Saturday night (well I watched lol) QB-less teams aren't going to help us out much.

Problems as I observed on the offensive side began with the OL in both the run game and pass protection. The run game has  suffered the past two weeks. The problem expanded to include pass protection this week. Why has this happened? Maybe someone is playing injured or perhaps they are just being outdone by the opposition's DL.

Some don't want to admit or discuss but this week the QB play was below what we've seen all year. Why? A combination of things along with just not having a good day. Receivers had their problems too.

The problem on defense as observed began with the DL early. Not enough pressure and a few successful early runs against the team.

Lots more but we all watched the game so it doesn't need repeating.

good point, they got manhandled by the texans Dline, maybe someone is playing hurt.

our D played good enough to keeps us in the game, the offense is inconsistent.

i dont see the bengels losing both games, and i dont see the bolts losing to KC. sadly the ravens have fumbled their playoff spot for the 2nd year in row, depressing. :o  :o

The reality is that everybody in the world knows Flacco sucked today. He played his poorest game of the year, and its not close. He was a major reason why we lost this case, yet you can also argue he was one of our better offensive players today.

You have to expect this to be a Flacco bashing day, because we simply haven't heard from those people in quite awhile, because they couldn't say a word.

In the end, it doesn't matter. He's going to be the QB of this team for quite some time, and a performance like this does nothing to change that.

Oline got manhandled = no running game, no pass protection, and pressure in qb face.

Makes me sick to my stomach to say this, but if Cincy loses tomorrow night, we'll need to cheer for the Steelers next week! Ugh...

Though, none of it matters if the Ravens don't figure out how to get up for these games.

I kind of wish the Browns were still playing for a potential playoff spot. Not liking the idea of playing a decently talented division rival with absolutely nothing to lose on their turf. I'm sure the fans still religiously burn Art Modell effigies before every game.

All the trick plays we saw from the opposition the last two weeks will probably be nothing compared to what we see this Sunday. The coaches are probably talking right now about what play they're going to run on every 4th down they find themselves in.

Only benefit of PIT winning the division (besides possibly helping our playoff chances) is that they'll get the first place schedule. So they'll have NE and IND on their schedule vs us having either MIA/HOU or BUF/TEN. With our out of division schedule (NFC and AFC West) that could be critical. Looks like a veeery tough schedule on paper.

The game is in Baltimore.

our line is horrible at picking up blitzes it seems like double a gap pressure works all the time. Having a decent RB probably would help but it's ridiculous.

Me neither. Though they do play at Arrowhead, so that's something.

SD won in Bmore and SF.  It really doesn't mean much to them obviously.

You can cheer for KC to beat the Chargers. That's the other way we get in.

Division opponent is a different animal. KC already won in San Diego, so they'll have something to play for too.

I get that, but San Diego was deep in the playoff mix when they came to M&T and winning in SF sat night.

They're pretty much in a winout mentality as well.  They're winning on the road at a time when you can't

afford to lose anymore games.  Plus KC hasn't looked good at all these last few games.

I work with a couple of guys from Kansas City...  The O's playoffs were rough for us...  But they actually DO want to beat San Diego next week... badly.  And these guys???  They actually want to see the Ravens get in too.

SF didn't either until they played SD.

Idk I feel like I'm leaning KC for that game regardless of the implications for us. SD has sustained a lot of injuries.

The Chiefs aren't out either. They need a loooot of help. But they're not out.

Well I hope the Chiefs' players want to beat SD as much as their fans!

I was just going to ask if they still have a long shot to get in.  Thanks.

They need to win and us and Houston to lose (against Jacksonville).

Unfortunately We're not beating the Browns.

The blueprint is out...stack the box and make Flacco throw it to his 40 year old 5'8 WR.

Game over.

We have some serious OL injuries too against a good Cleveland DL.

Forsett looks like he's done too.
