Next up: Browns part 2

344 posts in this topic

Thinking about this now, I'm not sure which scenario would anger me more... Ravens getting the help they need but losing to the Browns, or the Ravens blowing out the Browns but not getting any help from the other teams. I'd better stock up on liquor in either case.

We will win this one.  Just as long as Flacco doesn't play like a absolute Waste products like he has vs texans.

After that, we need to look on other teams and hope things falls on our favor.

If the O-line and the run game suffer again, then don't expect Joe to play well

We can still get in as a 6th seed. Nothing wrong with that. I also believe New England is a better matchup than Denver. This team tends to play better in Gillette rather than Mile High. But the match up with Pitt is one that I'd LOVE! >:D

Still wondering why folks think his worth even half the money Joe is getting if he needs everything around him to work to 'win'.

Whether we get to the playoffs or not, #1 priority next year is to shave flaccos money in huge dose. If he wants 'help'(a lot of it) then spend that money on top flight receivers with mound of drafts on receivers/online.

every QB needs and oline. Look at Rodgers two weeks ago. Look at luck tonight. 100 yes 0 td 2 interceptions and benched.

name one qb in NFL history that could play well with an O-line that kept failing and receivers that don't get open

Forge those guys, look at Brady when his line was all at sea during the first few weeks.

Why are you still wondering?  Joe got paid.  Move on.  Instead of bringing up his salary, we should focus on getting him going by putting the right schemes and players in place

If DEN wins we get in with:

1. BAL win + KC win

2. BAL win + PIT win

3. BAL win + CIN win + KC win

If CIN wins we get in with:

1. BAL win + KC win

2. BAL win + CIN win

Is this correct? And both CIN/PIT will have something to play for regardless of the result of tomorrow's game because the winner will take the division.

Messing with the playoff machine. We win, SD wins, Steelers win, CIN loses. Chargers become 5th seed, Ravens are 6th seed. If Chargers & Bengals win, we are OUT. We win, Chiefs win, Chargers lose, Steelers win, Bengals lose. Ravens are 5th seed, Bengals are 6th seed.

In summary, we'll have to do the one thing that will make us all sick to our stomach to do. WE HAVE TO root for the Steelers to win next week.

We don't need top flight receivers but adequate would be nice. If anything, today showed how Joe has been making mediocre talent look good to Ravens' fans. The majority of whom said at draft time : our receivers are fine, it's the best group we've ever had.

As an example, one or two that can run a quick crossing route and be where they're supposed to be would have helped us to take advantage of the blitzes today. Sadly, we have none.

It all hinges on tomorrow. If Cincy loses I actually think there's a good chance they lose out. If they win we're basically pinning our hopes on KC, which isn't promising.

Yeah honestly I wonder if Flacco is making Torrey look better than he really is. How he has 10 TDs I have no idea.

Well .......*gulps*....at least it's for a good cause.

We just need playmakers (preferably young ones, no offense to SSS).

Torrey is just a one trick pony that everyone expected would develop but didn't. Send him deep, if he beats his man, you're golden. If he doesn't, good shot you'll get a DPI. Otherwise, he does what he did today - slips, trips, slows up, fails to track the ball properly, never fights for the ball and can't run a proper route.

He had one game that gave me hope this season. When someone ticked him off. Maybe someone needs to slap him around before every game.

anyone else feel like we might be the next cardinals? go 10-6 miss the playoffs and dominate one year later? i would be willing to sacrifice this year to dominate the next couple. might be a stretch though.

you wouldn't like him when he is mad. maybe we just need to feed him tons of radiation. TORREY SMASH!

So basically, he's a worse version of Mike Wallace. Sounds about right.

alright so if we win and KC wins we are in right? that is the simplist version of us making the playoffs I think.

And clinching a playoff spot by week 14 or 15? I'll take it all day every day. However, I just want to make the playoffs. Nothing more at this point.

You're absolutely right! I didn't see Joe make a single open-field tackle, he whiffed on a lot of blocks that would have kept JJ Watt off him and, as a receiver, he tripped over his own feet and cut off a route due to a cramp in his calf. It's time to bench him and bring in Tyrod!! We should trade Joe and get as much for him as we can. He just doesn't deserve to be on this team the way he played today. And, not only that, his game plan and playcalling were jest atrocious! Give me a break!!! BTW, you're not supposed to speak in vernacular language on the blog.

I mean, I do want to make the playoffs. Then I realize that means a 99% chance we head to the ketchup field to face the Steelers. They're already horrible with that "beat you in the playoffs" thing. Do we want to give them yet another playoff win? Do you think we can beat them in playoff mode at the ketchup field?

I just don't know.

They never said all that, they just said Flacco played like crap. He did. Others played like crap too, but Flacco was atrocious.

The OL was the common denominator.

Yeah the possibility of going 0-4 in the playoffs against them makes me sick.

Or could you imagine giving Dalton his first playoff victory?

Ugh.

I was just sitting here thinking about this. If we get the sixth seed we'll most likely face the Steelers who have the tiebreaker over the Colts for the third seed. I liked our Road to the Super Bowl path two years ago beating Indy, Denver then New England. Considering the Pats are on track for the one seed, they play the lowest seed remaining meaning we win, we face the Patriots in the divisional round. Then if we get past them, we'll get Denver in the AFC Title Game.

So..... as much as beating the Colts, Broncos and Patriots on the way to a Super Bowl title was nice, beating the Steelers, then Patriots then Broncos en route to our third championship would be even sweeter.

Of course, the Cards also have a guy who might end up named to the 2010s All-Decade Team coaching them.

I see one but not two. I'd trade our entire WR group for EITHER Cobb or Nelson.

Not to say that Rodgers isn't worlds better than Flacco, but still.

(Though it should be noted that a great DL will make even Rodgers look bad, see SEA and BUF)
