Vent thread: Texans

Kubiak! What on earth was he trying to do or even change when things were going wrong early? Nothing! That 1st series, run run pass punt set the tone and Kubiak never ever tried anything different. Seems he has this dang we gotta run attitude and sticks with it to the Os detriment. Ravens just weren't ready and the stakes were huge. Is that coaches, players, schemes? So so so disappointing!

Maybe it's a Baltimore thing. I don't live in Baltimore, and people around here rarely say bad things about the Ravens. I listen to national radio shows and people are generally high on us even when we don't deserve it.

I understand that people like being the underdog, but it really gets ridiculous sometimes with the way fans believe in false scrutiny.

I would like to vent that all the trolls we've not seen all season showed up in the game thread - causing me to use my days' quota of negative votes.

On a sidenote: Luck seems determined to try to outdo Flacco right now. He's only missing some INTs and he's there!

Luck is having an awful game. Tends to happen when your top WR is out. Shocker.

We need to part ways with this selection of players next season.

1.Canty

2.E.monroe

3.Arthur brown

4.Steve and Torrey

5.Tyrod taylor

6.Webb

7.Bernard pierce.

Who do we get to replace Eugene?  And please don't say the draft.

Did Jackson watch the game?  Keenum was part of the reason they didn't blow us out worse.

a guy with 29 career tackles Acts as if he were Ray Lewis? flacco played like crap but he is a way better football player than Brad Jackson. I'm not sure there is a scale in existence that could accurately measure how much better.

If we had those things going, we wouldn't of had to rely on a flustered Flacco so much. That's my point. Flacco serves his purpose, but he's a team player. He works well when his team works well. That's my point

Flustered??

It was 1st quarter, 3-0 and our starting quarterback was visibly flustered...that's a problem.

I really don't have much to say. Last year this team had control of their destiny and blew it. Now they may do it again who knows. Lack of toughness and leadership, we miss Ray Lewis leadership far more than his game.

Look I'm not one of those guys that want to release Flacco and act like we can just find a replacement tomorrow. But this is bad guys.

The receiving corps needs to be blown up. Camp and aiken should be the only two back.

I don't care what they do with the RB corps.

And the secondary needs a nuclear bomb dropped on it.

Ozzie and John have gotten failing grades these last two years.

I completely agree!  However, I definitely think that castillo & peas need to be added to the nuclear bomb list

We need to part ways with this selection of players next season.

1.Canty - has been decent, but will likely be a cap casualty

2.E.monroe - has actually been the weak link on the line, but not bad enough to even consider this. No.

3.Arthur brown  - will likely get a chance if Daryl Smith retires. No.

4.Steve and Torrey - could see both of them being gone. Torrey will stay if he takes a small deal.

5.Tyrod taylor - forgot he was a FA. Yeah probably gone.

6.Webb - no way. We have no depth even with his diminished performance.

7.Bernard pierce. - again, we have no depth, so probably not. No guarantee Forsett comes back.

If anyone should be cut its our medical staff. People are dropping like flies

The same can be said about the majority of the NFL teams.  The Chargers are on their 5 center.

Its not the Ravens until they decide to break your heart and miss the playoffs.

Just up 95N the Eagles fans echo the same phrase.  Those guys really have burden,  We at least had playoffs and a SB.

we need multiple playmakers. parker/white/strong,fa wr, fa te, and perhaps draft a rb/te early.  i think we let jones, smith sr, daniels, torrey go .  guys are either getting old or scrubs(i.e torrey).

I think one of those guys would do it.

That is a problem.  It's called "not protecting the QB from the pass rush"

I think ultimately at the end of the day, we kind of saw what we already knew... our offense is mostly dependent on a strong offensive line.

We didn't run the ball that well last week, but our offense was still at least moderately effective, in that we could at least move the ball. The majority of that was because the offensive line was pretty good in pass protection last week.

This week, every single offensive player was bad. Joe was bad. The offensive line was bad. The receivers were bad. Even the RBs were bad (I can't tell you how many botched blocking assignments they made in pass protection).

In my opinion, we are a good enough team that when one of our units (passing attack and rushing attack) isn't working, we can still win games. What CAN'T happen is for the offensive line to be bad in both pass and run blocking. They were today, and the outcome reflects that.

it doesn't matter when or what the score is. They were eating us alive right from the start and we never adapted to try and slow them down.

There was 2 roughing the passers in one game. I'm not even sure if we have ever got 2 in season it was that bad

Feeling crazy after watching this game. Who was that team? I wouldn't have recognized them without the Raven logo. Did anyone anticipate this outcome. Just not a tough effort. I really don't understand how this happened.

I am pretty sure we can get someone in the 2015 free agent.

Everyone said the same thing when we the fans we're looking for a free agent RT.  Good quality LTs (like QBs) do not grow on trees.

If we miss the playoffs, that would mean that even during rebuilding seasons (which is what we've been in whether you want to recognize it or not) we we're one game away from the playoffs. How spoiled can some of you become as fans. Would you rather be a Jets or Redskins fan?

We want to enjoy what Patriot fans have. They don't go 2 years satisfied w/o playoffs for rebuilding purposes. That's the standard Ravens fans want.

Agreed, but he also had been hit more in that period than he probably has been in weeks.

But its no secret that Joe tends to struggle much more than a lot of QBs when he's getting hit a lot, thus why pass protection on this team is so vital.

The Texans defense has owned us in our last meetings. We won in Baltimore last year because of a pick 6 and a return TD.

No we can't.  There are only 2 guys worth it, Dez and Demaryius Thomas, and they're going to be resigned by their teams.  On the other hand, Demaryis was taken at 22 overall and Dez at 25 overall, which means it is possible to draft a guy like that even if you have to pick late every round.

we agree for once. Live and die by the line and they sucked today. Poo runs downhill from there

I would suggest not trying to respond to someone with an agenda.  You're not going to change his mind.
