Boldin talks again?  Can we let that go at some point?  It's been damn near 2 years.  Let's move on.

But Boldin generally didn't drop big passes outside of @PIT 2010.

I'd challenge you on that, Steve has dropped a lot of passes but Boldin was no saint either.

Look, sometimes you just have to appreciate what you could. For the Ravens to finish with 9 (or potentially 10) wins, this season, after all these injuries and, more importantly, the Ray Rice fiasco, is still quite impressive. Sure, the playoffs seem like a stretch, at this point; but, wouldn't a better pick in the 2015 NFL Draft be better than just going to the playoffs and, at best, getting a single win?

The offensive line reverted back to its 2013 self, this afternoon, it appeared. And, it didn't help that Ricky Wagner and Eugene Monroe got injured, as well. Plus, Justin Forsett is beat-up, too. With no o-line or running game, is it any surprise that Joe Flacco couldn't get anything done? Nope! It was 2013 all over again, just with a less consistent group of receivers and tight end.

But, let's look on the bright side: For the team to accomplish what they have with, what, 17 players on the injured reserve, which some of them include the team's best offensive weapon (Pitta), shutdown corner (Jimmy Smith) and additional 5 defensive backs, is saying something. At this point, ending the year with a win against Johnny Manziel and the Browns, at home, will be a confidence booster for 2015!

EDIT: Oh, and not having a healthy secondary, except for Will Hill and maybe Lardarius Webb, really limits the potential that the front-seven has. Case-in-point, today, when not a single sack was recorded by the Ravens. All the Texans had to do to beat Baltimore's pass-rush was to just have Case Keenum, of all QBs, throw short, quick passes. And, the end result was a success for Houston.

a win would lead to the playoffs. cinci aint beating denver.

Utter disappointment   That first half was the worst. Joe had no karma.   At this point the only satisfaction I have is that SD beat another Harbaugh team the same way.  The SD team deserves our berth. They earned it.

I'm done. team is not ready for prime time yet. ozzie will continue retooling the team. For all we know, this year can be the long-awaited "weapons" draft. Cause god knows we need more home grown talent there.  i can see us adding free agents in the secondary, but mostly retaining guys like will hill.

With exception of Torrey, home-grown WR have not panned out here for a long time

Peyton Manning has looked weak lately. Cincy, as bad as they are in primetime, could definitely win this one.

All i have to say is..... If Flaccos balls are being tipped at the line then boot leg out.

But what really , really annoys me more than anything is trying to run up the middle every single time when the def is stacked at the line and you continue to try to run up the gut. Either change the play to a quick slant or try and run it up the side for atleast a chance.

Forssets  5 plus yds a carry are a lie. Most of his yardages come from the end of the game when the game is over.  Livid seeing 1 to 1 and half yds almost every single carry by him. Its a freaking Joke.

How often have we tried though? We've drafted exactly ONE pass catcher in the first three rounds since Flacco got here (Torrey).

Oh and special thanks to Ozzie for not taking a WR in a draft that EVERYONE said had amazing receiving talent before round 7. Really, thanks.

Can't wait for another DT/LB in round 1 next year.

Okay he could of got one in the 3rd but at this point you can't even argue with the CJ and Jernigan picks.

There is no reason to miss yet another challenge opportunity. Smith's feet were inbounds, also there was no reason to rush the snap on the next play. A TD in that situation would have changed the complexion of this game.

Who are we gonna draft?

In absence of a game breaking wide receiver or future shutdown corner,I'd be happy with a tight end that threatened thedeep middle of the field.

That thread was after the SD game. In no way was that the offense's fault.

The offense was terrible today but it's funny how some are using this game as an excuse to pretend they've been terrible all year.

This isn't the first time the offense has no showed.  It happened last week, against the Colts, both first halves agains the Bengals, Titans and Falcons.  This isn't new.  Also, the Steelers as well.   You can't start games like this and expect to win, especially if you turn the ball over, on top of not producing.

Game was all on Joe, basically..

Epically bad...missed throws, poor decisions...he burried them to deep.

Can't really argue this, but he had zero help. Not absolving him since if he'd been more careful with the ball, Ravens would've probably had a chance to win. He didn't need to be elite today- a pedestrian game manager would've probably been enough. :(

Oh well.

Flacco has had some of his worst games playing the Texans for some reason.

The Texans and the Bengals haunt him, it's strange.

But this time it wasn't just Flacco. The entire offense was horrible.

Probably did. Ravens offense had zero answers all day. I've never seen them get dominated so badly in the Flacco era.

I have but we wont go there, lol.

cmon. most of the season before his injury we were getting 4 yards or more running the zone stretch or inside zone.  That opened up the pass game and made the offense diverse. the only problem is we dont have the weapons to operate a passing game that opens up the run game. So when the run game is bottled up by mvp jj watt, we suck.

Rather get another free agent WR.  A good one that is still in their prime

Yes but it start's with Flacco since he's the PG of the offense. He will receive the worst lashing.

You can appreciate that our journey had nothing but hardship but todays game was the pure definition of a donut. Hats off to SD as they earned a berth.     Burns me up the Steelers got the edge.

This was as simple as it gets - our O line got monstered entire game. We couldn't run, Joe was throwing in backward motion for most part to receivers who could not get open.

The worst is that I now have to root for Manning on Monday and the Steelers next week. And the Steelers couldn't care less about next week's game, not likely we can expect help there.

Does it matter, basically every early round receiver sans Marqise Lee seems to be working out.

it does matter.

i like to know how we would have gotten these early round WRs lol.

most who are round 1 worthy where gone before we picked mosley.

same with those round 2 worthy before we picked jernigan.

in round 3 id say john brown could have been better then brooks.

so yeah i actually like to hear from people how ozzie should have done what most of you wanted lol.

Watkins evans and beckam where long gone before we could pick and benjamin has been decend but also has a case of dropping passes and i would not have taken him over mosley.

Okay he could of got one in the 3rd but at this point you can't even argue with the CJ and Jernigan picks.

You can though - CJ is a monster, but he's an inside linebacker in a passing league.  How valuable is Patrick Willis to the 49ers really?  Will losing him make or break their season like the loss of Kaepernick or Aldon Smith would?  Sometimes I just wonder what's the point of selecting the BPA (if this means the most talented player on the board) if he's not the player that will HELP your team the most.  The best player talent wise is not always necessarily the right pick.  I'm not picking on CJ specifically, more the philosophy that picking the "best player available" is always the right strategy, or always defined the right way.

The upside last year when we missed the playoffs , steve said he would make changes if we missed them again. Maybe now we can stop using each and every top pick on defense and we can stop pretending that Torrey is a number one receiver  a third string receiver is expected to at least catch two or three passes a game .

And that's what people seem to find it hard to admit to wayne.
