Actually, he played better in his Buffalo game. He was moving the offense and he still put the Ravens in a position to possible win late in the game. The only reason it turned out bad was because he was asked to throw like fifty times.

Thats one tired arm.          This Houston game probably trumps due to the playoff destiny ravings.

Just watching the NFL Rewind of this game gets me pissed off!  Damn offense!  Smh!

I can't believe you have guts to rewatch the game; I just want to forget the nightmare.....

I think the Texans had him rattled early and he started feeling pressure when it wasn't there. It's a really effective strategy against a lot of QBs and I'd argue we did it to Ben in week two.

Very good insight, Bro.  Geno Smith had that happen most of the season    Johhny Football still has regret.   Hows' the weather in Auckland?

Watching the game again and wow Flacco was bad even when there was no pressure. In the 2nd Q 3rd and 10 with 1:08 he had Marlon Brown running wide open down the field but instead he try's to throw a floater to Owen Daniels which was incomplete. The drive before he had steve smith open down the field which he under threw. We can't blame the recievers and O line for those plays. They were all on Flacco, I swear sometimes he just has tunnel vision

Thats why he feels comfortable in the drive thru

It was very painful no doubt!  But, I watched the game during a streaming that kept breaking up so I set my DVR to record the NFL Rewind so that I could clearly see that debacle for myself!  Pure trash!  Smh!

Well time to do what Harbs said to the team: just move on. THAT BEING SAID, I expect this team to come out pissed off and ready to do work Sunday.

Yeah but isn't Joe Flacco called Joe Cool. There was a time where Flacco would still make a good pass even with pressure in his face.Gary Kubiak didn't help either but  honestly how much can a coordinator  do if his quarterback is playing scaried. We definitely need  to get the run game going because it's our only hope for our offense.

I love how one game brings things like this out of the woodwork.

Yes. Joe Cool is dead. Can never pass again. This is definitive proof. Cut him now. Tyrod is our guy now.

You mean like when Joe has a good game and people are hailing him as king of football? The over reactions go both ways.

I've never heard anyone hail him as the king of football, not even me and I'm one of his most ardent

supporters. I think you're confusing him with Peyton Manning, who threw 4 pics against the Bungles in the Jungle. I've always thought he was the king. It just goes to show that anybody can have a bad

day --- even Cool Hand Joe. BTW, a team is only as strong as the 53rd player on the roster. If you

seriously believe the loss to Houston was solely Joe's fault, you clearly ought to take up badminton 'cause you obviously have a lot to learn about football. At least, you could try to be more objective or more scientific when you analyze a loss. That would make your posts worth reading.

Actually this is not Flacco first game looking like this especially this year and this is not the first time Gary Kubiak has done nothing to really get him settled either. He had games like this against The Bengels, Titans, and  Steelers(the second time) before going   against The Texans. I admit The Texans game was his worst preformance of the year but  the passing game can't move forward if your quarterback is rattled.

There are ways to help with that  and a good run game is one way to do it. The Ravens are going to need get more production out of Forsett and hope Pierce can do something as well because The Browns are going try to do the samething The Texans did.

Maybe you can tell me where I've said the loss was solely on Flacco...

I stand corrected. You didn't say the loss was solely on Joe. You sarcastically referred to those of us who "hail him as the king of football" to quote you verbatim. It's all good though. I know that deep

down inside you really are a Flacco protagonist, aren't you?

I think it's spelled enthusiast!!! AND, yes, Joe Flacco enthusiasts are totally objective. It's you

Flacco antagonists and detractors who need to learn how to be objective. You will always give credit

to someone other than Joe when we win and give him all the blame when we lose. To whom do you attributethe win today? I'm just glad Joe was able to gut it out and lead the team to victory after his Head

Coach almost blew the game by eschewing a short FG in the 1st half. That was a real momentum buster.

smh

I like Flacco, regardless of what people may believe. I think there a few here who judge him and maybe are overly critical because of what we know he's capable of and the dramatic dip in his play at times.

seriously spelling?

how can you say you are objective when you only credit flacco?

torrey smith, hurst, urschel, the defense all should get credit as well

those 2 rookies held their own.

torrey came alive at the same time as flacco.

defense kept the score close.

heck even elam made some plays so should get some credit/praise lol.

Also im with you on the coaches though.

if you read most of my post i lay blame more often with them then the players.

they  make terrible decisions which put both the offense and defenses in bad positions at times.

I'll give ya a pass this time on the spelling. Speaking of pass, there are only a handful of NFL QBs who could launch a 53 yard rocket like the one Joe threw to Torrey when Joe went on his perfect 158+ rating. Torrey brought his A+ game today and so did Steve Sr.. The whole team gutted it out in the 4th quarter. Its tough to beat a loose team that has nothing to lose. The Ravens deserve a lot of credit for sticking together in an injury-riddled season filled with so much turmoil.

As for being objective, Joe gets his fair share of criticism and blame from many of our spoiled and fickle fans. He deserves more credit than he gets for our successful season. We set a franchise record for points scored @ 409 and he finished with just under 4,000 yard passing. He will also be the 1st Super Bowl QB to start a playoff game in 6 of his 1st 7 seasons. Just because Joe doesn't fit the mold of some media analysts and some fans does not mean he isn't a leader. He's not cocky, arrogant, flamboyant or egocentric like some of his peers in the NFL. I'll take that any day. Contrast his performance yesterday with the performance of Mattie Who? when the game was on the line.

well some of the criticism is justified and some are just trolls lol.

i just feel every player should be threated equal but it appears  to me flacco gets alot more credit then others.

i mean you see steve smith run a slant and flacco throws a jump ball , smith cant catch it and everyone is blaiming him.

nobody even bothers to think that slants your supposed to hit the WR in stride not make him jump to catch it lol.

its things like that when i feel i need to defend others .

I feel your pain. There's nothing worse than a QB (Joe or anybody else) hanging a receiver out to dry on a slant or crossing pattern 'cause he held the ball too long or threw the ball behind the

receiver instead of hitting him in stride. Steve Sr. had a monster game yesterday. He dropped one

that he should have caught but made some huge catches in traffic. He's mentally tough and maybe its

rubbing off on Torrey.

lets hope.

letting torrey go will set flacco back if he loose yet another guy he has Chemistry with.

wasent torrey best season but he still means alot to this offense.

without someone putting fear in defense for going deep , defenses will sit on the short routes all day like we did against the Dolphins.

Totally agree. Torrey and Joe are like peas and carrots. They belong together. Torrey's not going anywhere as long as he wants to stay.
