How Donald is doing so well beats me. Never thought a guy with such a small frame would do so well at DT. Truly a rare exception. Definitely a case for DROY, and definitely doing better than Jernigan. That's not to say Jernigan is doing bad, though. Having four sacks in limited time while battling an injury earlier is pretty impressive for a rookie DT in our scheme.

Im not sure if Ngata has enough athletic ability to play 5 tech like he used to. He seems like a 3tech or 1tech now.  Jernigan was a monster 1 tech in college im sure he could play that in the  NFL, but I doubt he could play 0 tech. IMO we should take a 5 tech who can slide in on pass rushing downs in rounds 3-5 this upcoming draft.

I hope you're not forgetting about Urban and KLM, but I hear ya, we could draft another DE to rotate around.

Well he is playing with Robert Quinn and Will Hayes. Having two of the most talented DEs playing with you helps quite a bit to avoid double teams.

Timmy has Suggs and Doom so it's fair

harsh. Before the draft I had him as the best player I'm the draft along with Greg Robinson. One was one the other two but I can't remember what order I had them. Think I had Donald second

Im not. I don't have faith in either staying healthy. Regardless another guy to come in and rotate to keep everyone fresh will never hurt.

Yup he was my favorite player pre draft. What helps him most is that explosion, just insane how quick he is granted he is a smart player as well with a good motor.

As for Jernigan, he has looked good granted the Jags have no interior O-line outside of Linder so lets see what he does against a good front in Houston.

I was so glad the rams got him because I couldn't imagine the disappointment I'd have had when the ravens didn't pick him

i think mosley wins DROY. he has 69 more tackles and is only 5 sacks behind donald.

Tackle counts don't really mean anything - especially when comparing an interior rusher to a linebacker.

I think it's Donald's to lose

Also, stats aren't a good comparison at all.. Completely different positions

Just Saw with Jernigan Ravens run defense in past two games allowed the great YPC per game this season.

Have you made a positive post about anyone or anything?

I rated him. I thought he'd be a dominant pass rusher --one of the best-- but not a great three down player. Yeah he's strong and he's got heavy hands, but he's 6'1 285. Very small. Not many 6'1 285 pound DTs putting up the numbers he's putting up.
