Will probably do him some good to sit and watch, as a silver lining. He made some rookie mistakes that, if he studies and fixes, will be big plays in our favor.

Definite bummer for him and us.

How long until they just announce open tryouts for DBs?

It's really just unfair at this point, especially if Asa is done as well.  I know a lot of us have chided Ozzie for not getting some depth at CB, but no team could have prepared for this many injuries.  It's past the point where depth would have helped.

Really. Even if we had drafted a guy, we'd still be dreadfully thin by now, even after numerous free agent signings. Plus, that rookie would probably be hurt by now judging from the way things are going this year.

I have to absolutely agree with this...  NO ONE could have predicted all of this...  And now, I think, The guys are pushing it, because they have to.

Yeah....the amount of injuries this secondary has sustained has been absurd. There's no way Ozzie could've possibly protected us against this.

Seriously though. How much $$$ and draft consideration will be tied up in remaking this secondary this coming offseason?

welll...... if we would have had a true #3 cb players would have been in different positions, different plays, making different moves... lol... i know it's a stretch but heck if secondary was addressed it could be possible no one got hurt at all this year.

It's Cam's fault.

Yeah...I don't know what to say anymore.

Have we set a team record for most injuries at CB? Maybe even an NFL record?

And the season's not even over yet.

These are CB and safeties. There's no way you can prevent someone from getting hurt. Injuries are flukes unless someone targets you.

no all i'm saying is maybe if corey graham was on the roster or brandon flowers or if any mind was paid to the secondary different players would be in different positions at different times and MAYBE some players wouldn't have gotten hurt... but hindsight is 20/20 i guess. no duh you can't prevent someone from getting hurt but i'm just saying a different chain of events would have occurred. probably in terms of multiple games we could have won as well... but like i said i get hindsight is 20/20. frustrations continue because zero mind was paid to the secondary this off season. look at graham... captain on a sick bills defense.

Who knows, those guys could've been hurt too. Also, I just don't think Flowers wanted to be here. I really don't. Perhaps we didn't try hard enough but I think he wanted to be where he is.

you know what i dont care what people are saying. yeah WE MIGHT make the playoffs but we wont make it far. maybe 2nd round. these top teir qb's are going to tee off on this secondary. i had people telling me we are going to blow out the jags. i said nope we will win maybe by a touchdown. jags lit up this defense in the first half. they marched up and down the field at will and baltimore is lucky they only got 4 fg's. yeah they tightned things up in the second half but still. if we make it to the second round of playoffs and half to play new england or denver on the road its over, this isnt 2012. brady and manning will have a field day. if we had a healthy secondary with jimmy in etc.. i would put money that the ravens win the superbowl, i was saying last week the ravens will finish 11-5. now i think we finish 9-7.

i was just giving examples. flowers imo is worth a good bit more than the contract he took with the chargers.

I don't think we disagree here. I definitely think we should've obtained both, Graham and Flowers, but I'm sure it's not sure to lack of effort. I do think we could've pursued Graham harder, though.

Load it up like a bear on secondary and Oline next year.

We had to be the luckiest bunch on Oline with the kind of injuries plauging other teams. Depth on oline and secondary is a must next year. I have a better luck winning a lottery than having jimmy& webb will play full season next year.

Pretty sick indeed.

Is this just injury ?

We cut two corners as well.  Who were they ?

so long story short.

We have gone through 12 players in our secondary this season alone?

Good grief...

Well when the season started how many safeties vs corners did we have ???

We had too many safeties and not enough corners on the roster .

That's Ozzie s fault
