Secondary issue is what it is.  We just need to score points.   If we can't outscore Case Keenum/Tom Savage, that is a joke.

Both team has defense that are great in front 7 and lacking in secondary.  Whichever QB that can take the heat will win.

I think if we can stop the run game, and not turn the ball over, we will be fine in this game. It shouldn't be the kind of game where we need to score 25-30 points to win in my opinion.

This I disagree with...

QB, RB, O-line among the best this year. Combo of those three can stack up against any other team in the conference.

Front seven is the best in the conference, in my opinion.

If secondaries were disregarded, the only place we're weak is in the receiving corps, which is the easiest to mask with all the positives everywhere else.

Which teams in the AFC are better than us if we don't include the secondary? Maybe some arguments could be made, but I'll take us in that discussion.

I'm commenting more on the bills improved management and drafting over the years.

And I'm commenting on our team. Two separate comments.

I respect that :) Just wanted to be clear.  I'm a pretty bare bones poster, so I felt like I should elaborate.

Well Tom Savage has been ruled out.  Now its either Case Keenum or Thad Lewis.

It's not them I'm worried about.  Hopkins will have a field day especially if Andre Johnson comes back.  Our secondary can't handle them.  All their QB has to do is toss it within the vicinity.

Hopefully it's Case.  He lost all 8 of his starts w/ the Texans last year.

It also helps that Kubes was his coach.  He can inform the defense about all of Keenum's tendencies.

You know even if we get into the playoffs ,once we face a Brady or Manning we will have to put up a minimum of 36 to 50 points to win.

Just way too many injuries in the secondary. It is decimated.Ive never seen anything like this

Last two games, the Bills have held Peyton Manning and Aaron Rodgers to 0 TD and 4 INTs, combined. Whoa, I'm sure glad they're not on our schedule this year. Give me the Texans any day before them.

But last year though........man was that rough.

Certainly up there in discussion about "the game" that cost us the playoffs. Maybe the only one where the offense had the ball with a chance at the end last season.

Fun Fact: according to PFF Marshal Yanda alone is tied with all the Cowboys starting offensive linemen combined when it comes to run blocking. haha and somehow he isn't even the leader in pro bowl voting

Might end up being more Wagner vs Watt depending on how he lines up. That should be interesting to watch as well, and they are former teammates I believe.

Two rookie QB's in two weeks, and one of them is Johnny Football that just got shut out 30-0?

I'm liking our prospects of getting into the playoffs here.

Do you think we could top the Browns in a 30+point game?   I think their D will show up and make the game score in the teens.  They have nothing to lose.  My real fear is Offensive complacency(sp) in these last 2 games.    What a crazy ending..

Don't hurt Keenum, he may be our backup QB next year.

Thats funny.  Where will Tyrod go??  The Jets???

Side Note: Some want Ryan back and some despise Pees. We in this forum are only wishing or freaking out when the ones with the paychecks have the real decisions.

Way too many games in which the team was "unclutch" in the fourth quarter that we lost last season. I'd rather look at it collectively. A lot of shouldas, couldas, and wouldas.

Ehhh

Just an opinion. I think we have the better of the rest of the good QB teams in the AFC in offensive line and all but Pitt in running back. I think our front seven being the best, in my opinion, is what pushes us to the top in this conversation.

Yea.. I hear ya but take out each teams "worst unit" since you're taking out our secondary and are we still the best to ya?

What's each teams worst unit?

NE- WR's?

Indy- ? Assuming oline?

Denver- they have a couple injured Lb's right?

Etc

Don't really follow other teams like I used to.. Don't have time

But you get my idea. If we did the same for other teams, I don't see how we're easily the most talented with taking our weakest group out. I'd say our WR and Te group still lacks pretty badly and even RB overall

Right, but that wasn't what I said. Someone said the Bills may be the best of not for the QB, and I said we may be if not for the secondary. That's it. I think it's true because of everything you just said about the other good squads having other weak units. That almost serves to prove my point. Taking away secondary takes away other teams biggest advantage they have in comparison to us.

And I mentioned later in the conversation that I'm not saying every other element is amazing. I admitted the receivers are weak, but that's among the easiest to mask with strengths everywhere else. I disagree that our RB is lacking THIS year. Not comparing careers here.

Why would the offensive coaches and players become "complacent"?

JJ Watt is a beast...true that But...Joe is my QB...we will win...that is all...

This indeed is true, but so is Flacco. I've said it before and I'll say it again: when protected, Flacco is a bully!

Open letter:

To all that nick pick our Ravens, please tune into tonight's MNF game. Our boys my have their shortcomings, but things could be so much worst. I know that we only want the best and we believe that they could do more, but let's always remember that we have it pretty good here in Bmore.

Thank you Steve Bisciotti, Ozzie Newsome, John Harbaugh and the Baltimore Ravens for yet another winning season!!

Beat Houston...and on to the dance!!!!

Their D is good, but our OL is better.  And no way Johnny Manzel beats the Ravens.  No way.

BTW, anyone want to trade Joe Flacco for Jay Cutler?   :D

as much as people complain that we didnt work on our CB depth last off season, you need to understand that NO CB corps is 5-6 men deep. That's asking too much of Ozzie to both fix our problems from 2013 and predict things like this to happen. Take 5-6 guys away from ANY other secondary in the league and they will look Terrible. GUARANTEED

EXACTLY! Which is why I don't understand the need to select a CB in the first. If we're thinking secondary it's safety we got to think about! We need a playmaker! A Game changer!

Also to point out, Jeremy Miles has played solid as well recently, along side Will Hill, you got solid Safety play. Sadly, when our safeties are good, cornerbacks are in trouble. Totally the opposite in the beginning of the season.

Makes me think what if we had Jimmy along side our current corps with a rust-free Webb....and Asa...This secondary wouldn't be too much of a problem....Welp, makes me very optimistic for next season.

For now, I just want playoffs and see what happens from there.

I'm still afraid of JJ Watt. But I think we can win this.

containing JJ watt is the key to our offense success.
