Vent and/or talk about the game : Jags

Dean Pees is finally starting to figure this thing out. Only took him 15 weeks. Still hoping Rex Ryan is available for DC next year.

I think they had 3 more possessions than we did. They pulled out all the stops but really had no chance.

Run game sucked, but penalties and dropped passes stopped us from dominating on offense.

Running game stinks. Receivers stink. Secondary stinks. Special teams stinks, aside from one play. Discipline stinks. Injury situation stinks. Cleveland stinks. Atlanta stinks. Sunday Ticket stream stinks. Archuleta stinks.

We win. That's all we needed.

Rashaan Melvin!

Made so many plays! He looked like our best player in the secondary! We might have found a gem!!

Pass rush played out of their minds. If we were playing pretty much anyone but the Jags we would've lost this game.

Textbook definition of an ugly game. Flacco was the best player out there, I'd say. Everyone else seemed to be having an off-day, Tucker being the biggest unfortunate surprise. Defense played a terrific second half, and a decent first half (holding them to field goals at least). Lots of work to be done; at least we officially secured a winning record - officially better than last year. Either way, no resting; keep getting better, and let's beat Houston and Cleveland.

Also, last series throwing the ball, 1-3 for -1 yard. Dropped Flacco from 107 rating down to 99.4 to break the streak. Bummer. So close on the Daniels bomb...

Slow start by offense and defense but defense turned dominant as the game went on. Again, behind the pass rush and 8 sacks we won that game.

Offense was up and down, TD drive was really big as well as the late 1st downs.

Tucker missed 2 FGs but if we hadn't got a delay of game (inexcusable), he'd only have missed 1.

Drops by the receivers, OL struggling, run game non-existent outside of a Bernard Pierce and Joe Flacco run lol.

Jags wanted to be spoilers and almost were, we took as much as they could give and survived.

So the good news is that we won.  Part of me doesn't care how we did it.

That said, I don't know WHAT happened with our OL today.   They were bad.  They made us 1 dimensional today.    And with Joe Flacco that's not a problem.   BUT when you have receivers that drop the ball at critical points, you can't move downfield like you want.

My game balls:

Doomerville

Suggs

Jerrnigan

Flacco

Daniels

Brown

savage, the rookie, IS their QB

He just did name him in that post you quoted.

His name is Tom Savage

And that is my point.  Rip us apart?   Bortles didn't.  And they have better receivers than Houston and Cleveland.

Oh, btw, Melvin got that pick. Don't care what the refs said. He had control of that ball even though it grazed the ground, which is called a catch 99/100.

On the plus side, we may have won in large part due to playing a poor rookie QB. However, the two rookie QBs we will face in the next two weeks, Savage and Manziel, went 10-19 with 1 INT and no TD and 10-18 with 2 INT and no TD, respectively. Maybe we can sneak in and hopefully get a little healthier in the process. Anything can happen in the postseason. Nothing is absolute, even though things look bleak at times for us.
