Weak Pro Bowl Voting

42 posts in this topic

I truly believe Forsett not making the Pro Bowl this year would be one of the biggest snubs ever. He leads the NFL in pretty much ALL efficiency stats for running backs and is also very high on the lists for bulk stats as well. He and Demarco Murray are without question (and it isn't even close) the two most impressive RBs in the NFL this season.

There's a rb in Pitt that strongly disagrees and is making a strong case for consideration

The Browns secondary is the best in the NFL at least according to the voting. Also their OLine is beastlike. One thing bout Brownie fans. They vote. Raven fans. Ehh not so much.

Well that's because we expect to see our entire team okay the following week.

NFL would be good doing a skills competition

40 yd race

QB accuracy and long ball competition

Some sort of bench press challenge

Obstacle course

Throw in a retired players flag football game

Then I'd watch.

But yea...basically..I haven't watched the Pro Bowl in like 10 years.

That would be cool to watch.

Billy Cundiff is the 4th highest kicker...that tells you all you need to know about Pro Bowl voting.

Right, and Billy Cundiff was cut by the Browns today so I guess he no longer qualify.

Come on guys let vote daily! I do!

I went through the entire list and placed my votes about a week ago. I refuse to vote again, it just doesn't make sense to me and it really waters down the process.

Why fans even get a say in the voting is beyond me, fans will vote for their team whether or not they deserve it, 99% will vote from players from their team from each position + a couple big names regardless of their season

I've said it of every other major sport, and I'll say it again: Fan voting has helped ruin the pro-bowl/All-star game.

Lets face it, most fans are homers and/or uninformed about the rest of the league. I mean people voted in Jeff Saturday at the end of his career at GB and he wasn't even playing anymore.

I pretty much agree. The only thing is that it makes fans care more about it because they went out of their way to vote (or complain about the voting). That, in theory, leads to more people actually watching the game, which is the big issue right now. Viewership for the Pro Bowl is pretty poor by NFL standards, but it would probably be way worse if there was no fan voting.
