Week 15 Discussion (Other Teams)

That's the thing, Kaepernick regressed yes but do you really blame the coach? Kapernick himself may have just peaked too early and is now starting to suck. In which that has nothing to do with the coach.

I'm not saying it's his fault, just looking at it from management's perspective.

It's a lot easier for them to blame him because they don't like him anyway.

They're basically asking "who's more valuable, Harbaugh or Baalke?" and choosing Baalke. They must not like how Kaep has regressed under the so-called QB whisperer.

I think it's a mistake but if he doesn't work well with the people in the org they don't really have a choice.

He's a bad GM. Look at the personnel he's added and drafted. It should be an easy decision and they should side with Harbaugh, but wwe see what direction that's going in.

I had a thought. I feel like Cleveland really just pulled the plug on their season or any chance to make the playoffs. Pettine finally gave in and started a player that he knew was not to the level of Hoyer. When you experiment with getting an unproven rookie with an abysmal sample size minus a couple drives in junk time. They basically gave up while in the playoff hunt. In other words, that's the Browns just being the Browns.

Yep, no reason to start Manziel, there's a reason he didn't win the job in camp. I don't know that Hoyer would've beaten CIN but no way they get shut out.

To their credit, the Browns have normally given up on playoff hopes about 3 weeks into the season.

Soooooo...progress?  I'm really worried about how good the Browns are going to be next year.  They always play well against us even when they were fielding bad teams.  Their defense is solid, and they have 2 first round picks next year.  If they draft well, I wouldn't be surprised if they won the AFC North.

For the most part I agree, and I've been saying something similar for a while now. I picked them to flame out this year (happened later than I expected, but it's happening) and be a proper force for the playoffs next season.

But while I agree with the notion, it feels like they've been about five or 10 "one good draft"s away from being a powerhouse.

Eagles season in serious jeopardy right now. This city is gonna go mad. They are all gonna be the biggest Colts fans outside of Indy for next week.

If that doesn't work, there's always the Flye... I mean the Six... Or maybe the Philli... Man, gonna be a rough year for Philly sports if the Green Birds blow this season.

You live in Philly too? It was all so good just 2 weeks ago lol. Only hope is if the Colts win, though honestly it wouldn't even surprise me if the Eagles lost to one of the Skins/Giants.

Breaking news:

The Arizona Cardinals have CLINCHED a playoff spot for the first time since 2009 thanks to the result of the Eagles-Cowboys game. The only way this wouldn't have happened, if the Cowboys-Eagles game ended in a tie.

The NFC South heading into tomorrow night's game:

Panthers 5-8-1

Saints 5-8

Falcons 5-9

Buccaneers 2-12

If the Saints win, they will lead the South at 6-8 but if they lose to the Bears the Panthers will be leading the South with two weeks left.

I know the stat is stupid, but Johnny Manziel's ESPN QBR was 1.

Haha

Wasn't Flacco's like a 0.4 during the 2012 season? Yet...........our offense scored points? Huh?

He was under 1 for two games that year, against Houston and Denver. I don't know why. I think the formula has been tweaked since. I know he NEVER played as bad as Andy Dalton did against Cleveland earlier this year (10-33, 86 yards, 3 INTs, 0 TDs), but yet Dalton had like a 4.3 or something. It's all ridiculous crap. When it comes to bad games, I think they just pick a number out of a bag and assign it.

It's a stat where you literally laugh at it. Of course ESPN came up with it.

Pettine gave in to the pressure to change QBs. I was amazed at the support from the media for the change after they loss to the Buffalo Bills. In hindsight they can all look at the loss by Aaron Rogers to those same Bills and have a better understanding. I can't wait to hear the media's opinion today and whether they admit their mistake or attempt to sweep their previous opinions under.
