Week 15 Discussion (Other Teams)

We could have traded our 5th rounder in 2010 to move up and secure Dez Bryant, and still ended up with Art Jones.  Instead we ended up with Dennis plus the amazing trio of Sergio Kindle, Ed Dickson and David Reed.

I didn't realize that Reed now "plays" for the 49ers.  Wonder if he has an opinion on which Harbaugh is the better coach :)

Lol wow this game is over

I learned a long time ago, the first half of a game can be completely different from the second half of a game

If people haven't figured that out from our past two games...each given quarter can be completely and utterly different.

Luckily for us, we've improved through the games rather than regress.

I can't tell you how happy I am that the 49ers were eliminated today. I really dislike them!!!!!!!!!!

It amazes me that it looks like Jim is going to be out of a job (for a short period of time) after this season.  Has the entire 49ers organization forgot how terrible they were ~4 years ago when he arrived?

That place is going to go into full blown meltdown mode next year if they really do trade Jimbo.

So does Tom Savage now. Savage also has a knee injury and will get an MRI tomorrow.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/12/14/savage-emerges-with-leg-injury-too/

So does this mean that the time has come. We will finally see the greatest player on the Texans team play QB...

J.J. WAAAAAAATTTTTT

Wow that is crazy. I guess they would activate Thad Lewis and be forced to pickup some as a backup, who would have less than a week to learn the playbook.

Watch Harbaugh be fired tomorrow, for some reason I just can't see a team willing to trade for him when essentially he could just be fired and it becomes wasted picks. I'm kinda hoping Jim goes and takes the Michigan job. No matter how bad this season was, his lasting impact would be turning the 49ers around. Taking them to 3 NFC Title Games, 1 NFC Championship and an Super Bowl appearance. Think about the ever ending circus of coaches the 49ers had PRIOR to Harbaugh coming in 2011.

Do the 49ers really want to throw all that success away just over one bad season? It seems to me they trade/fire him that the 49ers would go in the direction the Cowboys went and are still in after Jerry fired Jimmy Johnson. A long down hill spiral.

As for Jim, does he really want to be traded or fired and go to a team like Oakland where he would be wasting his coaching talents(let's be serious, Jim is a good coach just a bit over tempered) and just end up fired as the Raiders coach in a couple years anyway.

They were looking for a reason to fire him and at 7-7 they helped make it a little easier for the 49ers executives to do it.

Great point!

i think 49ers fans are just spoiled. So one losing season equals a complete rehaul

It's not a complete rehaul, they just want someone different. Jim Harbaugh can get on people's nerves.

Besides, the 49ers have done very well in talent evaluation and drafting. Luckily, they can get out of Kaep's contract if they have a better option at QB.

Well it's not just Niners fans really. The execs don't like Harbaugh.

I feel like fans just want to get rid of Roman, they love Fangio.

I haven't even bothered w/ the 49ers forums today...would just be too depressing.

Eagles are making a game out of this.

No I meant by when they officially announce that they fired him.

So how exactly did Jerry getting rid of Jimmy Johnson work out? You don't throw a good thing away over a bad season. Jim inherited an already good roster which lacked the one thing Jim brought to the team, good solid coaching. I remember Jerry saying that with the talent they had, anyone could win with their roster. Of course, a roster that was built by Jimmy Johnson and the Cowboys went downhill ever since.

Maybe the 49ers front office is letting the success get to their head and think any coach could win thus wanting to get rid of Jim?

Ahh...yeah, that'll be interesting.  I wonder when they'll announce it.

Cowboys look dazed and confused out there right now.

They're basically asking "who's more valuable, Harbaugh or Baalke?" and choosing Baalke. They must not like how Kaep has regressed under the so-called QB whisperer.

I think it's a mistake but if he doesn't work well with the people in the org they don't really have a choice.

That's the thing, Kaepernick regressed yes but do you really blame the coach? Kapernick himself may have just peaked too early and is now starting to suck. In which that has nothing to do with the coach.

Kaep's accuracy just isn't there, thats what the problem is.  He's better than some (Geno, RGIII) w/ throwing the ball, but even then they aren't anywhere near most other NFL QBs.

EDIT: And I don't know if Jim has any ability to teach Kaep how to be able to actually throw the ball lol.
