Week 15 Discussion (Other Teams)

258 posts in this topic

The final three weeks is upon us. The 2014 NFL Regular Season is winding down and playoff spots are up for grabs. I mean all 12 playoff spots are still up for grabs as we head into the remaining weeks. Now the Broncos, Colts and Patriots can clinch their division by winning their respective games this weekend. The Packers and Cardinals in the NFC have scenarios where they can clinch a playoff spot.

Cardinals @ Rams: As I said, Cardinals can clinch a playoff spot this weekend, as long as Dallas/Philly doesn't end in a tie, and a bunch of other things. Rams playing really good so I can see them winning.

Packers @ Bills: Packers can clinch a playoff spot with a Dallas loss. This was a candidate for a trap game for the Pack but the Bills just don't know what to be each week.

Broncos @ Chargers: AFC West on the line, Denver wins they win the division.

Dolphins @ Patriots: Patriots look to avoid getting swept by the Dolphins and look to clinch another AFC East Title.

Bucs @ Panthers: Derek Anderson gets the start and will again face the Bucs as he was the starter for week one against them. Someone must want to win the South.

Texans @ Colts: Colts can and should clinch the division with a win but considering they are one of those teams who barely squeak by, could be a close one.

Saints @ Bears: The lowly Bears should keep New Orleans in the NFC South hunt.

49ers @ Seahawks: Looks like Seattle should complete the sweep as Pete Carroll says goodbye to Harbaugh for the final time.

Cowboys @ Eagles: Division Title on the line, Eagles win, they pretty much win the division.

AFC North:

Steelers @ Falcons: Let's hope the Falcons can keep the scoring going against Pittsburgh after putting up 37 against The Pack. Falcons need a win to hold on to their half game lead in the South, and the Steelers need a win to keep up with the WC picture.

Bengals @ Browns: Bengals D took a hit losing Burfict for the season, and there isn't really any tape to study on Manziel. Browns have had the Bengals number as of late, and a season sweep of the defending AFC North Champions would be icing on the cake for Cleveland.

I don't really care who wins the NFC South games anymore (aside from the game in Atlanta), but I just really want to see someone win that division with a 6-10 record.

The Eagles (and the Cowboys, as well, for that matter) have not beaten a team with a winning record at home this season. This game should be a crazy dogfight, and I will not go out in the city that night, regardless of the outcome. Cowboys undefeated on the road this season...

My hope for both of the "best two teams in the NFL" from the NFC West to miss the playoffs will take a big boost if the the 49ers can come back to life and get a win this week.

The Cardinals have to be one of the most disrespected teams out there. I'm really hoping they take the NFCWest and don't give the Seahawks a home game and they have to start by taking care of the Rams tonight.

I'd like to see the Cowboys win just to throw a little gas on the fire.

Might as well have the Broncios,Colts and Patriots win to take WC contenders out and they'll probally start thinking bout resting starters which imo could take them outta their groove.

GO FALCONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For obvious reasons, I'm hoping for a Ravens win and rooting for any team playing an AFC playoff contender; GB, DEN, NE, IND, ATL, CLE!!!

You'd think we should be used to it by now, but it still doesn't feel right.

So true.  However, last week was worse, rooting for the Steelers.  :toilet:  :34853_brickwall:

I'm rooting for the texans vs Indy. The #3 seed is within reach still. And we can handle the texans ourselves. Although the four seed could be better because I think the ravens match up much better with the patriots the broncos

I made some changes to my pick'em earlier this afternoon, this game was one of them. I wanted to go with Arizona but the Rams have been playing so good as of late, plus I don't trust Stanton at QB. Hopefully the last minute switch doesn't come back to haunt me.

Not to rain on your party but I can't get Rams right all season long and I picked them today.

Awful call, pass interference is such a crappy rule, there are so many crappy rules in the NFL they need a big reshaping of it all.

I don't mind the PI rule. If every receiver got mugged on every play, that'd kill the spectacle of the game.

That said, the call looked more like Jenkins was playing good defence more than anything.

Drew Stanton down, and it's not looking good. Their QBs are in the same state as our DBs.

At least they have a good kicker too.

Ouch that hurts, Logan Thomas has a lot of potential but he is pretty raw overall. Depending on the severity this could be big

Welp Thomas isn't even starting so ignore this lol

That was a good call, wrapped his back arm.

Looked like he injured himself the same way Palmer did.

Well it goes hand in hand with the defenseless receiver rule which is also garbage, if you are gonna call any little touch of a player a PI at least let them be able to smash them when first make any contact with the ball. That brandon browner hit last week was awesome but instead he got penalized for a great play. Also there are far too many illegal formation and holding calls that need to be relaxed by the officials.

Cardinals lose a timeout because throwing a challenge flag is "not appropriate".

It's coming back anyway though.

If the Cards make it to the playoffs but don't get Stanton back, I have a feeling they're going to be one and done.

Even though the Cards are playing well on defense against the Rams, when they go against a team with a good offense they're going to have issues.

Right as I say this game is a defensive slugfest (accidentally deleted post), the Cardinals start driving. That's about right.

Yeah, like the Rams a good QB would mask a lot of their issues and come close to putting them over the top.
