I AM LEGEND

Final 3 Game Push. Whats your HONEST prediction on how the season plays out?

124 posts in this topic

Ok so enough predictions, let's get to the real deal. The AFC North won't be decided until Week 17 but the Ravens can CLINCH a playoff spot on Monday Night. How, oh well that makes the whole thing even better. The number one scenario for us clinching a playoff spot.........

1) BAL win + PIT loss + CIN loss

Let's see...

Broncos @ Bengals on MNF: Prime time game meaning Dalton will suck and the Broncos will win.

Chiefs @ Steelers: This one isn't much of an guarantee loss but come on Andy Reid!

Last but not least, let's remember one thing. Take care of business and the rest will take care of itself. Both the Ravens & Steelers games are at 1PM so I know I'll be going back and fourth on Sunday Ticket between both. Take care of Houston, hope the Chiefs beat the Steelers and pray the Broncos don't decide next week is the week to lose.

Unless the Broncos start resting players. They've been pretty banged up, too.

The second I saw the title I knew it was about us.

For what its worth, Colin Cowherd has completely bought into the Ravens. Has them ranked #5 in his power rankings, and already said he would pick them to beat Indy and Denver on the road this year in the playoffs.

He did say he thought NE would beat them, but it would be a close game.

It doesn't appear though that he is aware of just how bad our secondary is.

Wouldn't it be interesting if the ravens post season ends up like this....

@indianapolis

@denver

@new England.

Poetic justice. I'd like our chances yet again led by the best road post season QB in the tournament.

I would love the opportunity for the Ravens to end the Steelers post season dreams.

AFC teams are praying we don't get into the playoffs, you can bet on that. Nobody wants to see this team in the postseason, they know we can beat anyone on any given day.

Miami was the scariest opponent left, now it's Houston. Honestly, I not trying to be cocky, but Houston is in trouble with their 4th string QB. In my opinion I'm scared of J.J Watt and Arian Foster. You know how those guys turn it up against Baltimore for some odd reason.

As someone else said, The broncos want that one seed.

The thing is, Houston has literally no one but Arian and JJ. Two guys can't win a football game.

They got better receivers than we do, and a pretty solid offensive line.

I should point out that there's nothing special about any of the QBs they've had for the entire season, and they still managed to win 7 games. Think maybe that has something to do with guys other than Arian and JJ?

Obviously, it does.

Fitzpatrick is an ok qb. With a good run game and solid d, you can win with him. The same cannot be said with either Thad Lewis or Case Keenum.

Don't get him started down that road...

Looking into next year's schedule, I'd prefer the Ravens Not win the division but a wild card spot so we don't have to face New England and Indianapolis next season. I know it's not much but we'll need all the wins we can get next season to make the playoffs.

Really? If we want to be the best, we got to beat the best nuff said.

So they have 51 vacant spots on their roster? And I thought our DB situation was bad.

Last week I predicted 2-1, but facing Savage then Manziel I think we win out barring a horrendous performance.

Savage is out too. We'll be taking on Case Keenum (lol) or... guy's name eludes me but I think it's Thad Lewis.

We can do that this year from the wild card spot just as easily as from the div winner position. Next year again the job is to make the playoffs first and foremost. I'm trying to give us the best chance for success next year.

After watching the performance against the Jags, I am not sure which Ravens team shows up against the final 2 opponents. Ours is the best team that plays at its current competition's level bar none. We figure out a way to play down to the competition every time we line up. The only exception to that has been the Bucs game which I would call a statistical outlier.

Unless we can be consistently good down the stretch, I don't see us winning both games. Maybe one at best and I am unsure which one they lose. It could be the Texans or even the Browns for that matter. I don't believe 10-6 gets us into the playoffs unless of course the Steelers lose 2 games which is highly unlikely the way they've been playing....

Most of our wins this year have been blow outs.  The only close ones were the Browns and Jags.  The Saints game was not nearly as close as the 7 point margin it ended in.

It's not unreasonable to expect us to beat both Keenum/Lewis and Manziel, and there's no way we lose to the Browns at home.

I think we make the playoffs then it depends on the seeding. If we get a wild card and have to go to Indy or Pitt, I don't like our chances with our secondary, if we hit Cincy we can win if we actually play well against the Bengals and hopefully playoff/prime time Dalton shows up. If we win the division I think we can beat whoever we play at home. Regardless though I don't think we can go into New England or Denver and get a win, their defenses will limit our scoring and our defense won't limit theirs, we would need to play like we did against Denver in 2012 and hope for some breaks to go our way.

Agree, that's an absolutely ridiculous statement to make. Having a home game in the playoffs is huge, even if it is only the first round. Let's worry about next yrs 16-0 record next yr.

Go Ravens.

Just had a look through that thread, I found one pretty funny post:

"It's really hilarious, and obvious, that Joe Flacco really is the weakest link of the Ravens offense."

I'm perfectly happy for people to keep underestimating Joe

I'm generally the optimist, and think we will win the final 2 regular season games and hoping for one loss or more from the bungles and squealers so we get the division. I also think we need that home PO game to keep from being one and done. After that?........... looks grim. But hey, maybe Santa drops a secondary down the chimney at the Castle!

I'm trying to convince myself that we do have a chance in the postseason. I think we need to avoid a visit to Pitt, but we can handle them better at home. I think we take care of business either way against Cincy this time. The Colts have really been slumping offensively, and we lost a close one to them before that in their building. The Broncos are shifting to more of a running offense, which plays right into our hands. As far as NE, I'm just banking on history there because they look pretty solid.

My ideal path would be hosting Cincy, winning in Den again, then hosting Pitt after they pull off road wins in Indy and NE. How sick would that championship game be?

Didn't and won't happen that way Tank.

But they are still more prolific than the Ravens offense.

More prolific last week, but not any of the previous weeks for the second half of the season.
