I think Kubiak could be back after his stint with the Broncos. If he washes out that is. We'll have to see what happens there. I would take him back.

Never say never, but I really doubt that.

You never know. I mean, who knows what'll happen. I think Kubiak would have us as the #1 place to go if he washes out in Denver, whether it's a year from now or four.

So Super Bowl or bust, what does "bust" mean for Kubiak if they don't win it all?  Would they fire him after 1 season if he doesn't take them all the way?  Personally, I think there is very close to a 0% chance that Peyton Manning plays in 2016.  Looks like he won't retire this year, but if he doesn't win the Super Bowl, OR if he does win one, I think he retires after next season.  If he doesn't get it next season, he won't get it, and I think he knows that and retires.  If he does get it, I think he retires on top.  So Kubiak gets, in all likelihood, at most one season with Peyton.  And to be honest, I really don't see them winning a Super Bowl next season.  I just don't.  This just feels like a bad decision by Kubiak in my opinion.  The money is nice, I'm sure, but working for his buddy John is probably not going to end well when the chips fall and he will be fired some day, at least, in all likelihood.  How's that friendship going to be after that, hmm?

I see it the same way. What Gary Kubiak has in his favor is 20 years of experience in Denver as a

player and coach. His friendship with Elway won't matter much if the Broncos don't win. Wtat he has

going against him is that his friend and former roommate, John Elway, is now Kubiak's boss. There is now an employee/ supervisor relationship that will be fun as long as the Broncos are winning. If they start losing, their relationship could be strained. Hopefully, Kubiak did not make his decision to

return to Denver, based on having Peyton Manning at QB, even for just a year. If he did, I think he's in for a rude awakening.

The positive about trestman is that if he is a good OC we should have him for more then 1 year. I don't think he woudl get another HC gig. We all thought kubiak would be one and done when he was signed. The suprise was how his leaving actually played out. No one expected the broncos vacancy.

I'm going to really be upset if Kubiak is out of a job, but Trestman does not move on to greener pastures during the same period.

.

So you are assuming Trestman will not be as successful here as Kubes was?  A little soon for that assessment, don't you think?
