Don't know really. I'm just ticked that this organization was not better prepared and working harder to get someone with legit experience and resumes in here when they knew this was pretty much a done deal.

We don't know that they weren't...  You can't fill a position that isn't vacant.

Well if the curse involves being in the playoffs every year. Rather be in the playoffs than out of it.

I've eased up a little bit on Knapp. From my short research on him, Jeff Garcia had career years under him. He's never coached under Kubiak in Houson or Denver but he does run the West Coast Offense which was the thing I was most worried about switching. Juan can keep coaching the Zone running scheme to our players as well. 

 

Knapp may be the best option guys.

We've been discussing them...  Gase, Knapp, are just 2.   There are others that we are missing I am sure.  We'll have to see what the brass does...  They're the professionals, and some of the best in the league for sure.

He's interviewed for a couple of them.  He'll take the best offer too.

I'm a little mum on Gase. It seems like he wants to be an OC for one year then become a HC, and he's already a hot candidate so it seems like we'll be one-and-done with the OC's again. What we need is continuity.

I hope that continuity is something that the Ravens are including during their OC selection.  At least give us 3 years.  At least that long

Three years is exactly what I had in mind.

Who knows?  It's a crazy situation because they have to be haste due to the fact that other teams are still out hunting for OC's themselves.  But at the same time, the staff really needs the appropriate time to do their research to ensure they're picking the right guy

One possible option is Vikings RB's coach Kirby Wilson. We interviewed him last year for our OC job prior to his joining the Vikings.

I dont know why everyone is so upset. Read the "game day" threads. There are MANY who post in those threads who are far more qualified than Kubiac.

Just take your pick. I will bet you most of them will work for HALF of what Kubiak was making.

We are, one of the few recent teams who have lost them due to success however...Be happy it's not like Cleveland or New York.

Cleveland is in a league of it's own.  At least with the Jets, they just suck.  But in CLE the FO is sending text to the coaches.  Like hell I'd want to work there

Wouldn't surprise me if this entire fiasco was planned. We are in competition with the Broncos after all.

 

I mean, think about it. Media is speculating that Fox could be fired if the Broncos lose. Kubiak comes out with that big unsolicited announcement about building something great. Elway doesn't fire Fox right away, no waits a day. Doesn't ask to interview Kubiak right away, waits a few days. Let's all the good options make other commitments. Then he makes his move. Done deal, neat as a pin, Ravens are left scrambling through the leftovers.

I read some where that he doesn't like to run the ball down hill.  Which probably isn't true (considering Forte's play), but that's what I've heard.
