Guys. I'm pretty sure that we are ok. Engram or Hammock is probably our guy. They had a year to learn our system. Just calm the hell down. I leave for 5 years or someting. Does this board always get hectic? If so, I might need better health insurance haha

Yes, it does Lost...  every little incident is a crisis...  hence why we're here...  lololol...We'll get through this too.

Gase has zero OC experience outside of the last year with Denver. Which means zero because Peyton runs that offense. No thank you.

These are our choices?

LOL it's gonna be a rough year. I'm so sorry Joe Flacco..

Adam Gase isn't a bad offensive coordinator and I don't know alot about Knapp but atleast he runs the same offensive scheme as Greg Kubiak.

If these are our options then we'd better have a great defense because there's no way it will be a good offense.

I would take Hammock over these guys in a heartbeat.

Okay, gotcha! Sounds like Hammock is an interesting candidate. Bit of an unknown; but, it appears he has a lot of experience for someone who's young.

I'd expect his tenure to begin similarly to Hue Jackson's in Cincy, but ideally with Joe getting the reigns a bit more (for good reason). He'd no doubt make mistakes, but his system would be tough to plan for until there's a bit more tape out there showing what he does.

The inexperience would cut both ways.

What are you basing that info on because his only experience is with the Broncos. Everyone knows Peyton runs that offense.

Dream on. No one wants to poach Pees from us.

Welp, that sucks lol. I've been checking my phone daily hoping I'd see that Gary declined that offer. We are just burning through coordinators

Peyton doesn't call his own plays 100 percent of the time. I doubt he does and that's true then  then wow I would be shock.

And even if Gase does have a great year, he'll likely be a candidate to leave next year. Ugh.

I wonder if they'll revisit with Kirby Wilson.

Personally, I want an OC that's was a QB in their earlier careers. I want someone that can connect with Joe.  Someone that will help bring out his potential

I've eased up a little bit on Knapp. From my short research on him, Jeff Garcia had career years under him. He's never coached under Kubiak in Houson or Denver but he does run the West Coast Offense which was the thing I was most worried about switching. Juan can keep coaching the Zone running scheme to our players as well.

Knapp may be the best option guys.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adam_. The guy has had QB coach experience, worked for Detroit and the 49ers...also LSU... He's married to Vitt's sister... you know the guy from the Saints???   He's not a slouch...

"Well, they take all the good coaches from us. Let's hire the crappy ones."

This is the only reasonable explanation for Greg Knapp.

He's obviously Peyton Manning but don't discredit Gase because of that.... I'd say Mike McCoy has had success since leaving Denver.

Apple & oranges, but at this point, who would look like a better hire than him? And can you confidently say it's by a wide margin?

Yeah he has the QB coaching experience - but not the OC experience. Hard to know anything about him when his only experience comes with Peyton holding the reins. Would be a risky move.

Don't know really. I'm just ticked that this organization was not better prepared and working harder to get someone with legit experience and resumes in here when they knew this was pretty much a done deal.
