Merged: Kubiak Discussions

Exactly, since Fox was fired that's all I've read. Now here's the problem, Kubiak said he would stay, but since the rumors of him going to Denver have started, he has been silent. He hasn't come out and said that he isn't going to interview with Denver. If only Kubiak would call Schefter or some insider and re-confirm that he's staying in Baltimore and isn't going to interview for Denver, I would feel better about it.

I understand your reasoning for wanting Kubiak to make that annoucement. Maybe though, on the flip side of things, he doesnt feel the need to reconfirm considering he had already given the organization and fans his word. Now, I know that doesnt mean a lick of things now a days, but for someone that has been in the league for this long...I would imagine everything is fine and well. Hell I think I read somewhere that he is building a house close to the castle.

I think I'd rather have Marc Trestman than Kyle Shannahan. Trestman just sounds like a better option, I think Joe could have a say in the matter.

Trestmans and good option as well and as I stated before is more from the Mike McCarthy tree of the WCO then the Shanahan/Kubiak tree. That being said, Kubes is going nowhere.

Per John Eisenberg... Just a few words plucked from Offensive Coordinator Gary Kubiak’s statement about his decision to stay in Baltimore rather than pursue head coaching opportunities – a decision so huge, by the way, that I’m not sure the Ravens can top it as an offseason development that should positively impact them in 2015. (We’ll see what happens with the Denver speculation, but I’m betting he stands by his word.)

Kubiak said the Ravens “are building something great” that he wants to be a part of. Look closely. He’s saying, in essence, that it’s an ongoing process. That’s how I read it, at least. The Ravens are moving toward something, Kubiak said, which means they aren’t there yet and this year really was all about moving farther down the road.

I'm with Mr. Eisenberg....  if you listened closely... I'm thinking he's not going anywhere....

You don't even have to read closely to get that. It's right fat out there and completely obvious.

If Kubiak leaves i'll be heartbroken, but I don't think that it will happen this year.

Our coaching staff was on fire this year. I'm still shocked at that New England game and have been happy with how the DB's pulled things together even though it wasn't their best performance with our starters...still impressive. As a lot of people have said Kubes likes where he's at.

No matter what he says, I wouldn't be surprised if Gary Kubiak leaves.  Look at this headliner from SB Nation that was posted on yahoo about 40 mins ago and then removed...

https://www.yahoo.com/

Oh? SB nation said Kubiak will be Denver's coach? SB nation is a glorified sports blog that's even below Bleacher Report. It is the BuzzFeed of sports media. It's a great site if you're looking for opinion pieces and blogs, but they don't really do reporting. Look at their front page. Nothing but feature stories and columns.

Does anyone really think SB nation would have this story before Adam Schefter, Ian Rapaport or Aaron Wilson?

Also, if you go to SB Nation's Baltimore Ravens page, Baltimore Beatdown, this phantom Kubiak story is oddly missing. Curious, no? It's also missing from the Mile High Report, SB Nation's site for the Broncos. Sounds to me like an overambitious blogger wrote a column speculating Kubiak would be hired in Denver, and then his editors took the story down. More evidence for that? The link on Yahoo's page says 404 error. Page does not exist.

Whoaaaaa!  Hold your horses man!  Lol!  You haven't said anything in this post of yours that I didn't already know...nothing!  I posted that cause I just thought that it was interesting to see.  However, at the same time, as I stated; I wouldn't be surprised if Kubiak did leave.

I saw the headline Kubiak going to Denver too, from yahoo but link broken; of course, it's broken cuz they are reporting lies.

I got a feeling somebody is trying to screw us.......

PS: AFC don't want to see us building a dynasty, starting 2015.......

I don't think Kubiak is leaving. I'll believe him. It certainly makes me nervous, and I'd hate Elway more than I already do if he did that.

"The Broncos are that team looking to replace coach John Fox. Early candidates on the Broncos' list, according to two NFL sources: Baltimore Ravens' offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak, Ravens' quarterbacks coach Rick Dennison, Detroit Lions' defensive coordinator Teryl Austin and Seattle defensive coordinator Dan Quinn."

Let them have Teryl Austin.  I'm going to be ticked if Kubiak leaves.   I understand he might still want to be a head coach, but I would liken this situation to Marvin Lewis when he said he was absolutely staying with the Ravens then bolted for the Redskins DC job.   And that was a lateral move.

Everything has to be a major cardiac event with the Ravens. We can't even have a stress-free offseason.

And technically, the offseason hasn't even really started.

Never have I prayed so hard to have another team pick their HC.  God....we can all breathe a sigh of relief when Elway picks a HC not named Gary Kubiak.

Heard a local reporter that spoke with an inside source that confirmed Kubes is building a home near Owings Mills.  That doesn't sound like someone who is contemplating a move, no pun intended, but rather the opposite.  Hope it is true, and I'll hang my hat on the positive speculation at the moment, lol.  ;)

It seems like most of the other openings are closing up quickly. All of them are either filled or are on the verge of being filled, except for Denver.

I'm anxious as to why Kubiak hasn't reiterated what he said Monday, in the face of all this speculation. Maybe he feels he's said it already and doesn't need to ... but he'd make as all feel better if he put these rumors to rest.

IF this is true, then I'm not gonna worry about it anymore.  Nor should anyone else

This is a business man!  It happens!  You can't hold him to making that statement.  It's the NFL....things change all of the time.  And, when opportunities present themselves; based upon what is the right move for you and your family...you take them!  Kubiak is no different!

In this case, this move may not be what's best for his family.

If Denver has truly reached out to Kubiak for the position, it seems we would have at least heard something on it by now. Hopefully, no news is good news!

Very true, but hopefully his family has fallen in love with a less stressed Gary and Maryland crabcakes.

Lol!  I want Kubiak to stay as well but I understand that this is a business and at the end of the day, all of these cats; from the players to the coaches will do what "they feel" is the best thing for them and their families even if that means walking away from Baltimore.  Can't blame them cause I do the same thing for my family!  So, let's hope he stays and not be surprised if he leaves.

I think what's really going to turn this offense around is the Crabcakes more than the drafting.
