Glad Kubes didn't go to Denver.

Looks like we are catching the AFC west at the right time next year.

There are a number of people saying now that Kubiak might not stay with the Ravens now the the Denver job opened up.

While I wouldn't blame him, I'd be a little chapped after he came outright and said he was staying for him to leave.

I hope Del Río doesnt take a HC job and lands up as Ravens DC.

Del Rio?  Dude had DeMarcus Ware, Von Miller and 3 pro bowlers in the secondary and he couldn't stop TY Hilton, Fleener and Wayne...

I'm not sure Fox getting fired changes anything since Kubiak already said he wants to stay. I get the whole Denver connection, and I'm sure he's friends with Elway and all, but I just don't think he wants to leave here. Not yet, anyway. I think he's happy here and has unfinished business at the moment.

I live in CO and its funny because all of the local sports guys are saying hes coming to Denver now. I don't see anything to indicate they are correct it sounds like Baghdad Bob reporting live from co. John Elway and the rest of whats left of this organization has no patience and is a ticking time bomb for whomever moves in. I seriously doubt a proven winner like Kubiak would want to walk into a high stress mess over here.

I agree for the most part. However, I don't think Kubiak thought that job would open up. I too believe he genuinely wants to stay here and loves it here, but Denver is a premier job, there has to be a part of him thinking about it.

I'm admittedly worried. But I'd also like to think Kubiak is a man of character. You don't tell your boss that you're staying and then jump the second your old boss asks you to. That would be low and a knife in the back.

I also am worried but I also hope that Kubiak is a man of his word....despite what job opens up, the Broncos want to see if his decision is the same with their job opening and his history with the franchise. im hoping he stays true to his word " we're building something great in Baltimore, I want to be a part of that"

Im not worried, really. Elway had to of told Kubiak something. I think Kubiak declined. Frankly, I dont think he wants to be a head coach again.

The Broncos have requested to interview Gary Kubiak and if he does go then we better have Kyle Shanahan on speed dial

That is concerning, but it's not time to hit the panic button yet.

Even I knew that Fox was posibly on his way out so I must assume that Kubiak was well aware, yet he chose Baltimore. Also Elway is rumored to be difficult.

I imagine that Manning might not be keen on coming back if he has to deal with a brand new regime. And if they have no qb it might not be an enviable hc position.

Shanahans stint with Washington was not impressive.

According to ESPN: "One team source indicated Monday evening that Kubiak's stance wasn't altered by the Broncos and coach John Fox mutually parting ways."

We were so close to making the AFCCG, our defense doesn't need that much work (especially once we get Jimmy back) and Joe is in his prime and is great during the playoffs (the anti-Peyton so to speak). Why do that and commit to a program, that will struggle once Manning leaves, which can't be that far off considering how he's been playing lately. Stay Gary, please.

All this speculation about Kubiak leaving for Denver is an insult to him. He has said that he will be staying. To suggest otherwise is saying that Kubiak is not a man of his word. Kubiak has never shown any signs that he is not.

He knew their was going to be shakeup in Denver and at least OC job available with Gase leaving...knowing  that, why ever would he said he wanted to stay in Baltimore?  He said his health is to important, he does have kids and had a stroke during a game. He has made alot of $$ as Houstons HC, i doubt $$$ is a factor.

Interesting viewpoint.

Makes sense, though. If they're giving Fox the boot with his record, how good do you have to do to actually keep your job?

I also read somewhere yesterday that it was Elway's refusal to give Fox enough say in the hiring/rebuilding process was at the heart of the dust-up. Buttin' heads with that kind of ego on a daily basis - who wants that kind of headache?

I don't know why there's even a discussion. Everyone knew that Fox could get fired, there was speculation. If the Denver job was a gamechanger for Kubiak, why wouldn't he wait and see before he made the statement? Also, I don't think Kubiak is the kind of man that says A on one day and B the next one. He didn't even looked for a raise to stay here, he just wants to stay. I'll never say never because there are a number of things that surprised me this offseason but I don't think Kubiak is changing his mind.

Kubiak is veteran successful coach so I think it's all speculation that he's leaving. Nobody wants that mess over there and egomaniac Elway....

I think Denver would rather have a defensive Coordinator. Team got the offense down especially with Peyton being there. Their defense, while talented, still didn't really reach the potential that it could.

I'm officially worried now. But I want no part of Kyle Shanahan. Everywhere he's been recently, chaos follows. If Kubes leaves, I'm afraid Castillo will be offered the job. That would be depressing.

Kubiak is a dream comes true for the Ravens; nobody available outside of him is worth of a look.

Depressing moment..................

No one but Kubiak can say, but I don't think he'll go back on his word. If he does then good riddance.

In a sense of a man that goes back on his word, sure.

All things considered (including what he provided as OC), I'm thinking get back we'll double your salary!

Although he initially said that he was staying in Baltimore, I wouldn't be surprised if he left for greener pastures for him as a head coach elsewhere.

I'm not willing to go there.  This is a dream job for him, that wasn't available when he made those comments.

I would agree that Kyle Shanahan is the next best thing.  You have to watch Kyle when he was coaching Rex Grossman in 2011 and the skins bad receivers were wide open.  He does get a little cutsey at times and get away from the run, but he's a very good coordinator.  Look how good Hoyer was playing earlier in the season before Josh Gordon was active.  That was all Kyle.
