Gary can remain as the OC in a stable, winning organization with a proven QB or he can take the pressure as a HC in a tense organization that likely does not have a proven QB.

Easy choice,

steve, ozzie, decosta, harbaugh, kubiak, and pees is probably the most formidable combination of FO and coaching in the entire league and i dont see another team being even close, and with a stone cold killer at QB for years to come, we will build something great, i just hope it isnt a 2 year stint for kubiak, because that combination right there with some continuity will build a dynasty, i have no doubts about it.

This is fantastic news and perhaps even more important than winning the game on Saturday (?).

Now the Ravens just need to convince Flacco that January is stretches all the way from September to the first weekend in February

Ian Rapoport @RapSheet  ·  1h 1 hour ago

Meanwhile, I know of no extension or raise for OC Gary Kubiak with the #Ravens. Sounds like he’s just… staying. Just wants to be there.

Big news.

After getting 3 possible interest from team in need of a HC after firing theirs, Gary is staying put.

Bears - tough crowd and even tougher FO to work with.   Trestman is hot for demand as OC.  Bringing in another good OC to HC gig probably wouldn't have panned out with Diva Cutler under helm.

49ers - after having one of the best HC in recent memory, they pushed him aside for not being cooperative with diva FO.   7-7 sealed the deal and now Jim is gone after 3 consecutive NFCC/ and 1 SB appearance.

Jets - One of the biggest circus franchise in sports history.  No one pans out here.  Certainly not Kube.

Great decision Kubiak!

Funny, sentiment seems to be that - Kubiak only said that because there were no appealing jobs available ... BUT ... if a HC job opened in DEN, he'd retract the statement and be on his way.

I dare say that is delusional. With the looming retirement of Manning, Thomas hitting the FA market, that team is in for some potential turmoil. I don't know that he'd be champing at the bit to go there.

I would agree that its not happening, but I don't think our fans would be any different in a similar situation with a fan favorite coach was out there. Kubiak does have ties to Denver and Elway, so they feel like that would be enough to sway him. Won't happen, but I can't say I really blame them for hoping.

Exactly.  It would be a good gig for a year but Manning doesn't have much left in him.  Same thing with the Bears.  He would need a situation where a team has a good foundation and a top pick in the draft so he can be successful.

Hopefully his old buddy Elway doesn't make a call w/ Fox out the door ...

I think they like Adam Gase long term and felt he may be offered a HC gig someplace else and didn't want to lose him.

Denver is blowing up the whole team, coaches and Peyton if he does return maybe has 1 year left, but looks like he is retiring. Kubiak doesnt want that rebuild from scratch stuff. Plus, Denver has cap and FA problems.. a big mess.

Broncos fire entire staff including Del Rio and Gase. Wow. I think its clear Manning is done.

The talk of Fox being fired from their fans has been ongoing since we knocked them out in embarrassing fashion @ 2012 playoffs.

I think Elway might want to leave before seeing Manning go, b/c that team will immediately sink down to 4-12 team w/o him in regular season

The radio the THE FAN in Denver is reporting Manning is planning on retiring. Announcement expected either midweek after NCAA title game or

after his hunting trip with Eli. Coaches told to pursue other opportunities. A total makeover is underway.

This is certainly possible. It's a shame that his career is coming to an end, but it's certainly not unexpected. I wouldn't be surprised either way. I'd expect him to return until he actually, officially hangs them up and calls it a career.

Glad Kubes didn't go to Denver.

Looks like we are catching the AFC west at the right time next year.

I'm thinking the same thing. I think the Chargers may win that division, but I think it's certainly up for grabs.
