CB Danny Gorrer likely done for the season

64 posts in this topic

Apparently Ravens CBs are subject to the same injury chances as Chargers Cs.  Who's the next man up here?  I'm guessing we'll be looking outside of the organization for another body to help get through these last 3 games.  Webb, Asa, and Levine (provided he gets over his concussion) should remain the top 3 going forward, so I imagine we're only searching for depth.

Ravens nickel back Danny Gorrer's knee injury is regarded as serious enough that it's expected to end his season, according to a source

This is seriously some real bs. I've never seen such a thing. We've been so snake bit this year in the secondary. My God!

It's been brutal.  Not even sure where to look at this point.  I'm on board for giving Rashaan Melvin a chance on gamedays as depth.  Search through some practice squads and see if there's anyone we can poach and keep around to give them a shot next year.

We might need to call Frank Walker at this rate. It's really absurd. Maybe we'll finally give Derek Cox a call. I don't know

It wouldn't be as bad if Levine wasn't concussed, but we can't go all week hoping that he plays only to find out that he can't.  Going with Webb, Asa, and Melvin would be very risky.

Well Ed did say on "Inside the NFL" this week that he was available, lol.  Heck, in all honesty it couldn't hurt at this point.

Definitely tore his MCL.  His leg got hung up in a weird spot on a guys body no less as he was flying through the air.

Antonie Cason out there. I know he was graded as one of the worst cover corners but atleast he has starting experience and I like his size..

Ed Reed. Make the call and let him finish in uniform with us, where he should. Bring him in for FS then we can rotate around Elam/Hill ... Keep Asa and Webby on the outside. Would help us get through the year, but Ozzie won't bring 20 back :(

Oh good grief....

I laughed at people who wanted to pay Ed big bucks to stay.

I laughed at people who wanted Ed back last year.

I laughed at people who wanted Ed back the beginning of this season.

I laughed at people who wanted Ed back a month ago.

I am starting to think at this rate it might not be a bad idea.  A minimum of three games to go.  Although he is WELL past his prime, he wont make things worse.  I cant imagine who is available and better.

I hope they do this. This happens to us every year........the NFL is littered with talent from our practice squad. League has benefitted from us for years!

can people legitimately believe that the solution to lack of depth at corner is to bring in a 36 year old safety who hasn't played football in almost a year...

SMH.

To be fair, I don't think people are looking for a solution in the secondary.  A solution simply doesn't exist at this juncture in the season.  With that being said, I don't see how Reed helps at CB either.  I'd welcome him back for nostalgia purposes, but that's about it.

Any chance we let terence brooks play corner now where maybe he wont have as many mental errors and just let him cover a guy, or is he so far in the dog house at this point that its a lost cause? Barring us trading our first 3 picks for corners, i don't see any foreseeable solution...

Bringing Ed back imo should FINALLY have some validity

I doubt it happens but still..

Why is it any more valid than it was months ago?

The answer... its not.

Too bad Ed's not a corner.

Thought was giving another body so Elam would play more slot.. Brooks could play some CB

Does the clock to HOF start once a player officially retires? Or just doesn't play for 5 years?

Definitely crucial info for me on whether I'd want to see him again this season lol
