I will not be a happy camper if Pittsburgh makes the playoffs and not us; I'm still ticked off that Cincinnati swept us (we should have won at least one of those games). Though I think the best part of beating Miami today was that we can finally say that we beat a quality team. That felt good.

2011. Monday Night Football. 12-7. #neverforget. Let's get revenge and get our 9th win!

I just want to do a Tampa like beat down to the Jaguars to avenge that loss on Sunday. Except we actually let Joe break the Td record lol.

it's sad to go to bad teams's forums and read their posts. no exeptions from the jaguar fans. pretty sad actually.

After reading this I decide to see what was happening. One of the first threads I see is "Is Cyprien a Bust?"

At least the Ravens have been winning against the teams they are supposed to beat this year. Convincing wins at that. I am confident in this one.

Some of these sloppy penalties and lack of skills on tackling opponents needs to get cleaned up.

I feel like Miami studied our run schemes and exposed us big time @ 1st half.  Texans will know how Kubiak's run scheme will work.

We need to be perfect.   For now vs Jacksonville, just need to get all the sloppy play out!

Did we pass on him so we could take Elam? I'm sure we did.

For these next two games my personal confidence is about not thinking Blake Bortles and Ryan Fitzpatrick are good enough to actually take advantage of our secondary. Brian Hoyer's a different matter and I still expect us to get torched by Brady/Manning/Luck if I'm being intellectually honest (though if we get to that bridge I'll still homer pick us to win). And we don't need CBs on offence (praise Ozzie).

But for at least the next two games, I feel like our front seven is more or less good enough to win games on its own.

Hoyer has been absolutely atrocious lately.  In his last 3 games he is:

55/101, 654 Yards, 0 TD, 7 INT -> 54.5% Completion Percentage, 6.5 Y/A, 45.6 QB Rating

And it's bad going back further than that as well.

Since starting the season with a 99.5 QB Rating and 7 TDs to 1 INTs in the first 5 games of the season, he has an abysmal 63.9 QB Rating and 4 TDs to 11 INTs over the past 8 games.  That's the worst in the league during that span (since Week 7).

I know there's ZERO film on him, but Pees needs to be prepared to face Manziel in 3 weeks.

Cyprien is leading the Jags in tackles whatever the hell that means but at least he can tackle

I knew he'd been down a bit, but that's deadset terrible. It's not like the Falcons or Texans are passing defences worth writing home about either.

Facing him would be more or less the same as taking down Kaepernick, but without the powerful arm. Just get Suggs and Upshaw to set the edge, keeping him in the pocket and let his ducks do the rest.

I will say one thing; if we make the playoffs, I'd love to beat either Cincy or Pittsburgh. Cincy for revenge on the season, and Pittsburgh because we still owe them a playoff loss. One game at a time, of course, but it's just a thought.

jeez. One fan predicted us to win 72-0. another fan laughed at a different fan when he predicted us to win.

Ehh..my guess is He'd be way better at creating than Kaep has ever been

Could also guess he'd be a little more reckless possible than Kaep early on as well

The Ravens have to have the mentality of taking one game at a time. Any given Sunday. They need to remember that fateful Mon night football game the last time we played them.

It's inevitiable that Manziel will start.  Not that i care to see Hoyer supplanted, but if he is, I hope they do it this week so that there IS some tape when/if we see him.

For now they just need to focus on Jacksonville.  Not the hardest match up, but a trap game in the making if they not taken seriously.  And while its not Harb's style, I hope they run up the score on this one.

ah.....the classic trap game.  you know the drill folks.   every season we have one game where we fall on our face vs one of the worst team in NFL.

anyone who doesn't get their butt in line to do their work @ this game needs to get CUT and get shipped straight to the raiders!

Could be a trap game yes.

I think the Ravens team of the past some years would absolutely fall into that.

Not this year's team though.

People thought Tampa would be a trap game since it was a road game.

People thought Atlanta would be a trap game since Matt Ryan and Flacco are statistical near-equals.

People thought the Titans would be a trap game because of our past rivalry difficulties with them - when they used to be good.

Think about this fact:

This season? We haven't lost to a bad team. Our only losses have been to division rivals and two very good non-division foes - and neither were blowouts. Rivers was a last second, and the only reason we lost to the Colts was an off day for Flacco and the offense, where our defense kept us in position to catch up.

Our hated foes the Steelers? They've won against all the good teams, but they'll be facing a really impressive(ly bad) Falcons team that is putting up points despite being a losing team. The Steelers have lost to the Buccs, the Jets, and the Saints on top of the Ravens and Browns one a piece. Think about that.

The team that doesn't take care of the easy business is likely not going to win out. The Falcons will put points on the board, and unless Big Ben breaks out like he did against the Colts - this time in a hostile Atlana dome - the Falcons will squash divisional hopes for the Terrible Towels.

The Ravens have had heartbreaking losses this year. Frustrating losses. In the case of offensive pass interference - infuriating losses. But we have not lost a game that was a gimme.

Jacksonville is a gimme.

Ravens need to stay focused, play them as if they're playing their hated rivals, and take the free win as a result. Seize the win, and if the Bungles and Steelers lose? We're kings of the north for a week at least!

guys..

i just don't see how with this secondary we are going to win. ( not vs JAx but against good QBS)

its just so bad. Webb being a scrub really destroys us. Our secondary is basically WILL Hill and scrubs.

How on earth can a team with this secondary achieve anything? its just not possible.
