Vent thread: Dolphins(first half) Talk about the Game (second half)

What can I say? I'm so proud of our team for pulling it together and getting it done in a high-pressure game. If we win out, I think we make the playoffs. Go Ravens.

One more vent: 3-and-outs are killer, but they are even more frustrating when we get 8 or 9 of the 10 yards and come up just short. That was the case on two of the three first drives. It feels like that's our most common way to go 3-and-out, too. Get to the sticks man! Even on the drive that was continued on a fourth down sneak, Marlon went down to the ground for a pass and was stopped a yard short on third down when he could have just stayed on his feet and perhaps had a huge play.

Nice to see the other WRs used today. Also glad to see Marlon and Aiken both make it through the game healthy so hopefully they can play a role next week as well.

Hurry up offense really opened things up for us, then the offense begin to click.

When you give Flacco time, he'll hurt you. Love that guy around this time of the year.

Seriously, this offensive Line is the best I've ever seen. Run blocking was fluid later on, they gave Flacc's time and seriously hurt Miami's secondary.

The three headed backfield played very well.

The pass rush looked better without Ngata surprisingly.

Torrey Smith was hurt and kept out of the 1st QTR, I can see Baltimore was very conservative with him in the game but it didn't matter because of Kamar Aiken and Marlon Brown playing well.

What happened on Joe's interception? Didn't watch the game

He got spooked when he saw them blitzing up the middle and he just tossed it up for grabs off his back foot. He knew we had single coverage and go routes all around, and he was hoping it would land in Smith's lap like in NOLA. The DB played the ball all the way and outplayed Smith for it. Poor decision and execution by Flacco.

He threw up a clunker and it caught wind.

Was pretty much a must-win for both teams. Barring a ridiculous upset, we should be able to take care of business against the Jaguars next week (knock on wood). @Texans and vs. Browns will be huge, unpredictable games though. Hopefully Pittsburgh drops at least one; we need to be at our best these last 3 weeks. Didn't see Flacco's pick, but it seemed like he played well otherwise. Hoping he can reach 30 TDs and 4,000 passing yards; maybe he can buff up the stats against Jacksonville? We'll see.

Ugh that San Diego game stings more...could be sitting in great position today if not coughing up that lead late.

Yeah it does sting. A few plays here and there and we could have escaped with a win.

Today It looked like the loss of Ngata lit a fire under Pees and he put together more pressure packages.

The pick was ugly, but it seemed to be the spark he needed to start dominating. I don't want him to stay in the game against Jax just to beef up any stats unless we allow them to stay in it. Another first half like Tampa would solve both issues.

I'd like to rename this the official praise Dean Pees thread. At least, that's what it should be, since he deserves praise.

Something tells me he won't get it though, because that doesn't mesh with fan theory...

Also I'm glad Pierce got some positive momentum in the running game there. During the game thread some were quick to call it garbage time yards but at the same time they played a role in a TD drive and clocking killing, the same way Forsett's 40 yard run did. Outside of those 3 runs ( 1 for Forsett , 2 for Pierce ) run game was barely average.

If Pierce can get his head straight, read the open lanes he could be really important for a playoff run, preserve Forsett some.

As you could tell he was suffering today, but a gigantic kudos to Justin Forsett for hanging in there and playing like a Raven today. Man that guy plays with a lot of heart!

Maybe the loss Ngata was the answer in the pass rush?

The Dolphins offensive line was missing their starting left tackle  which forced their starting right tackle to play left tackle and  Doom just took major advantage of  their rookie right tackle.

Even with the sacks I'm still surprised the Dolphins didn't throw down field more early and often given our secondary issues.

He sorta threw it up to Steve and the corner came down with it. To me, it looked like a slight miscommunication where Joe wanted Steve to break in, but Steve broke out. Even so, bad decision and bad throw.

Yeah, I've given up on trying to give him praise. It gets you labeled an idiot and a blind homer or some crap like that.

But he called a great game. What I loved most was that he let the guys up front do what they do instead of making them think more.

I was so proud of Forsett; he was showing grin of pain on his knee from the end of every run.  The big late run in the game is really taking him in agony.  He shows so much heart, playing like a true Ravens......

The man is totally deserved a lock down contract for the Ravens...

Correct me if I am wrong but our secondary is clearly our weak spot, but we have Blake Bortles at home, Ryan Fitzpatrick, then Brian Hoyer at home. With Asa Jackson back, we should be ok against those guys...............right?

Fitzpatrick has been good in his past 2 games.  I wouldn't look past the Texans at all.  The Jags and Bortles should be relatively easy to handle, but it's still an any given Sunday type of league.  The Browns always play us close no matter how good or bad they are.  We should win all 3 and remain relatively stable in the secondary, but you never know what can happen.
