Vent thread: Dolphins(first half) Talk about the Game (second half)

Not much to vent about for our game, given how we responded to a slow start.

The Cleveland game, on the other hand...

Started ugly but we pulled it together.  We still need to pull it together on discipline.  Too many pre-snap penalties the past couple of weeks.

Huge road win!!!

Proud of the Ravens proving me wrong....Wasn't confident at all coming into this game. Besides that redzone INT, Joe played fantastic! Doom & Suggs wrecked havoc! Jernigan looked good! Aiken & Marlon made some big plays! Running game got it going late! Big statement made that we're a team at will taking it week to week. Hopefully Gorrer & Levine recover!

Shouldn't be overlooked the way this team has responded to controversy! Very proud.

Only things to Complain about are Steve Smith drops , A terrible float pass for an INT , Running game stalling early, and Lamar Miller getting 5yac.

Good Win.

Missed 1st qtr. From what i saw, we played a virtually perfect game. The only bad play was the silly interception following the awful drop by Smith.

observations: torrey might be in trouble come contract time. Aiken & Brown playing like they belong and more consistent.

Ngata might be done as well - or have to take a very very cap friendly restructure or extension. Pass rush is better without him and the minimal hit to the run game seems to work better for us.

Hats off to Pees for making 2nd half adjustments, playing tighter coverage and keeping aggressive until the end. Now do that every week dagnabbit!

I was really impressed by Aiken, by the way.  He showed good, strong hands in key situations.

Having Asa back seemed to be key as well.  Tannehill really didn't test our CBs but Asa did his job and that's what we needed.

not much to vent.. just start faster.

This.  Great second half.  Just need us to stop making mistakes early too.  Refs were suspect but Ravens are still provoking too many legitimate flags.

Either the wind took that ball or someone got a finger on it. The whole flight looked weird.

The first half I saw no urgency and the Dolphins inflicting their will on the Ravens. Then in the second half it was a total turn around and everyone was getting into the mix offensivly and defensivly. Congrats to Doom who now holds the Raven single season sack record pretty sweet. But its only 1 and it looks like the Steelers and Browns are going to pull this week out with wins as well. 1 down and 3 more to go lets just keep stacking the wins andplay with URGENCY!!!

When protected, Flacco is a bully!

I agree!  I even found myself shockingly saying; "Just let Flacco throw it the rest of the game cause they can't stop the pass!"  Lol!

My main vent though would be to come out faster!  Get Aiken and Brown more involved in the WR pass rotation cause those young lions are starting to ball!  We'll need them during the playoffs to give Smith, Sr. some relief.

Nothing to vent about.   Not every game is going to be a fast start, especially on the road against a good team.   The Ravens adjusted in the second half and went crazy, and this offense can definitely put up points.

For all the crap Flacco gets, people don't give him enough credit for shaking off a bad interception and getting back into the game quickly.

And the patience by Kubiak on keeping with the run was a great factor here.

Apparently he has incredibly strong hands.  Ravens evaluators apparently compare his hand strength to Boldin's in terms of his ability to snatch it out of the air and hold on in contested catches.

Flacco is ballin' we need to get him a superhero at WR. Steve Smith is droppin passes and isn't the same guy he was early season.

I think Torrey was used as a decoy and if im right then he did his job .

I pray Gorrer and Levine are ok and Torrey Smith he was not in the game much that I saw and the commentaters sure were pointing it out a lot. Note to Harbs we need to work on the flags next week. GREAT TEAM WIN for Raven Nation...

Bummed that the INT-free streak ended so close to Flacco's career high, and that pick also cost us another 30-pt game.

However, the streak of games with over 100 rating for Joe is still intact, and thanks to replay, he remains fumble free for the season (incredible and something that seems to be overlooked this season).

Also, what's with the offsides calls man? It was one like every series in the first half. Surprised they didn't keep mixing up the count all game. We all saw what happened when they became predictable.

Having vented about small details, time to celebrate a great team win!

Keep in mind that Miami was 6th in YPG allowed, 2nd in passing YPG allowed, and 6th in PPG allowed coming into this game, and that's facing the likes of Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Philip Rivers, Peyton Manning.  They were also a top 10 scoring offense with about 27 PPG.  They were, IMO, a very tested, tough team, and we went in there and outplayed them on both sides of the ball.

Really ugly start but the coaches and players pulled together and dominated on the road against a good team

Heck yeah! Flacco was on point! Shout out to him for shaking off the INT. That showed me a lot of mental toughness right there.
