and to think, the NFL was riding blair walshes jock as the best young kicker. tucker at the same age is a million times better and with much more high pressure kicks as he has kicked in super bowls, won overtime playoff games, and is on a competitive team.

Today he reached the minimum 100 kicks attempted.

91% completion percentage.

Fire Pees though.

Thanks for the jinx. At least we till pulled it out otherwise I might have had to neg that comment

This talk of Tucker being the most accurate kicker in NFL history was way too premature.  Wait until he's been kicking for 10 years.  As for today's misses I can't fault him too much - they were beyond 50 yard attempts.  Hopefully this brings him back down to earth and he focuses (even) more in practice this week.  He'll be just fine.

On a related note - how fortunate are we?  Matt Stover and Justin Tucker will span about 35 years for this franchise with some garbage in between them.

On both of his misses, from what I recall in game (which could be wrong, who knows, need to watch again) Tucker had two bad snaps. That can affect a kick from that distance. I still trust him 100%

Whether we trust him shouldn't even be a question. Worst case, he just had a bad day at the office (which I don't think is out of the question given how the FG he did hit didn't look too flash), which happens to everyone. Not a good day, but not a huge deal imo.

This wasn't a bad day at the office for Tucker. The first FG he missed was due to a high snap, which disrupted his timing. The 2nd miss was caused by poor coaching on the part of John Harbaugh. Instead of calling a TO when the clock was running out, we took a delay of game penalty for 5 yards, forcing Tucker to kick from 54 yards instead of 49. He hit the upright and it bounced out. A bad day at the office is what Billy Cundiff had this past week when he was released by the Cleveland Browns.
