Alright team, no excuses not to win this Sunday against Miami if you want a playoff spot.......

Seriously, if we can't beat Miami, no reason to think about playoff....

Playoff!?

A lot of short passes I saw from Tannehil last night. Jets did a good job getting pressure and playing tight coverage. Take some notes from Rex, Dean Pees. Jets secondary is in bigger shambles than ours and yet they've given up nowhere near as many yards as we have.

Mili...  I'd agree but Miami can't stop a runny nose.  They're run D is awful... and if we Camp back and Marlon...  They won't know which way to turn.  We just need to get a hold of Wallace, and keep him under wraps....  easier said than done, but with Asa back, at least it adds another body back there.

A LOTTTTT easier said than done.

10-6.

I think we lose Sunday and then win our last three.

I do see us winning out if we win Sunday.

I am torn on Sunday's game though, because sometimes Miami looks great and sometimes (like last night) they look like a 6-10 team. If our defense can play better in the redzone and on 3rd down, I think we have a pretty good shot to win, but it is a road game, so who knows.

I think we are ultimately a 10-6 team that doesn't make the playoffs.

Agreed completely.

Also I hate to say this, and I hope I'm wrong. But I expect to see bad Joe Flacco next week and the boards going crazy.

That's what we paid him for.   All he does is 'win games'

I wonder how Miami Dolphins feels looking at our secondary @ tape.   They are probably licking their chops.

We need to pummel their offense and give them the 'RGIII' treatment if Tannenhill tries to get too cute.   I know Ngata is ready.

Rodgers: @ SEA, DET, NO

Manning: @ STL, KC, SEA, vs NE

Brady: @ MIA, MIN, KC

Could keep going but the point I'm making is all QB's have bad games... No point in arguing with you though.

Phewy on you... How dare you say something like that... Just stop with the negative mojo...

I think Miami matches up with us well defensively.

Wake vs Monroe should be painful to watch....Grimes has been a ball hawk this season and IIRC has only 1 bad game which was against Denver. Hopefully we stay clear of him.

Sorry Ma, just hoping to cause a reverse jinx here

We've given up about 800 passing yards the last 2 weeks, If you think this game will be any different you're delusional. Our only hope is for Flacco to go full 2012 playoff mode and carry the whole team.

I know you will find special interest in the new Pees interview.

Yes! The reverse jinx lives!

And let's continue with the reverse jinx. Tannehill will throw for not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4, not 5, not 6, not 7, but 8 (COUNT EM) TDs.

P.S. If this actually happens, not only will I stop the reverse jinx "fad" but I will take full blame for the loss. I expect every member of this thread to blame the loss (should it happen) ALL on me in the vent thread. You heard it here first.

I like our chances in this one actually, the Dolphins factor in a lot of the read option in their game and they like the short passes. I think that suits us a lot better since we can get a little more aggressive with the play calling and the Dolphins O-line isn't that great of a group meaning if we send pressure it is more likely to make it to Tannehill. I think this gives our front 7 an opportunity to shine. I just hope we make it harder for them in the short passing game since if we give them 15 yard cushions every play, they are going to tear us apart underneath.

On offense, the Dolphins have really struggled recently stopping the run, obviously running the ball is one of our strengths but I think we can be particularly effective doing it this week. Hopefully this gets TOP in our favor and we make sure that the defense is fresh through the game as they need all the help they can get. Plus it is always good to wear the other defense down and you can do a lot off of play action when the run is established.

If Tannehill throws 8 TDs in this game, I think crying is an excusable option...

Yeah, we'll need to run the ball well to try and defuse their rush. I'm not advocating extreme game plan Jets had last night but we need another big game from Forsett and then some.

Ugly win similar to @Cleveland is what I'm expecting. Good enough to put us prime position to make a playoff run. Bad enough to keep everyone on these boards pleading for us to tank and get a better draft pick.

I will guarantee that our offense struggles in Miami and we see the problems the secondary has.  We'll need to force Tannehill to hold onto the ball longer than normal, which I honestly doubt happens.  This will in no way be an easy game, unless the ground game is established early and we manage the clock properly.

... and we all know how good we are with clock management.

And then monday happened.

Great, we now get to play the team that beat the Chargers 37-0. I am so excited ;)

Guys...  There will be a CRAP TON of purple in Miami...  reminiscent of Tampa...  and N.O....  I honestly think that helps our guys on the road... Let's hope it gives them the umpf they need.

If the Ravens can't beat tannehill, Fitzpatrick, bortles, and manziel and or hoyer. Then they don't deseve to make playoffs.

one problem with having a crap secondary is having ngata and brandon williams in the middle.

neither can get to the QB

Aaron Donald would have been an epic draft pic for this D line..

it would infact been the difference needed to overcome the secondary woes just enough to win some of these close games.

Na... Mosley> donald as far as helping the secondary based on play so far

And I loved donald pre draft and wanted us to get him desperately

And comparing donald to ngata/williams is the wrong line of thinking..

They aren't asked to the same thing as donald the majority of the time

I really like the way our fans have taken over stadiums during away games. It is so cool to hear that Seven Nation Army chant during away games!
