I really think Monroe's struggles are related to his knee. I really don't think it's healthy and I think he's playing through it. He's not playing anywhere close to the player he was last year or even with the Jacksonville. I believe he lost it all after getting paid. He doesn't seem like that guy.

This is what I was saying in my initial post about him. Like Rice or KO last year.

I had to edit that post. My phone didn't add that I don't believe he mailed it in after the contract. Definitely not what I wanted to say. And yeah, I agree. I just think he's playing through it.

Mili...  I'd agree but Miami can't stop a runny nose.  They're run D is awful... and if we Camp back and Marlon...  They won't know which way to turn.  We just need to get a hold of Wallace, and keep him under wraps....  easier said than done, but with Asa back, at least it adds another body back there.

Dolphin fan but I am waiving the white flag.  Let me get this how of the way- I think the game could go either way- flip a coin.  I noticed a few things that some fans were missing and figured I would pass it on.

1.Before Monday night the dolphins were #2 against the run.  The biggest problem we have is at the moment our secondary is depleted and in fact they have guys playing cb that were not on the team two weeks ago.  That caused them to pull both safety's back to mask their problems.  If the ravens OL can give flacco time I think he could shred this D the problem is wake and odrick haven't given qbs much time this season.  I would not put too much stock in what Miami gave up last week, their real weakness is against the pass (while Cortland Finnegan is out)

2) Tannnehill is accurate mid to short range, even his long ball looks good but he does not have outside targets tall enough for go and streaks (causing red zone problems) A once reliable Wallace is dropping catchable long passes this season when they go long.  I would worry more about the longer in routs by Jarvis Landry because if the ball is close he is going to get it.

3.Tannehill's biggest weakness would be holding the ball too long but he has gotten better lately however blitzing him is not a weakness.  His quarterback rating goes up 10 points when opposing defenses blitz.

Good luck Sunday, my brother is a Ravens fan living in Florida while I am a Dolphins fan living in Maryland go figure.

Interesting stuff....good luck to your team too. Unfortunately, I expect Tannehill to have a field day against our secondary. We'll see though.......

We can relate.

And hopefully Jarvis Landry doesn't do TOO much. He was one of the WRs this board was really high on pre-draft, so to have Keenan Allen do a number on us, followed by Landry, would probably be more than a lot of us can take.

Good luck. Winner of this one gets an inside leg in the hunt for a playoff spot.

He's doing fine most games. Then there are the games he just doesn't show up. I just expected more from him. I'm not the only one, but sure he's much better than Oher or McKinnie (minus a good stretch or two from Bryant).

Monroe is by far the best LT we have had since Ogden. We have top three o-line in the league. Competing with the Eagles, Cowboys, and Browns. I think it goes:

1. Cowboys

2. Us

3. Eagles

4. Browns

That's maybe a bit higher than I have us, but I agree they have been great as a unit. Biggest factor in our turnaround to a real offense this year.

As a cohensive unit, I think we belong that high, especially with Mack's injury and some of the eagles guys getting old.

Cowboys would probably be in 4th if everyone's o lines were healthy. They've been lucky no injuries have set them back. Browns miss Alex Mack. Eagles miss Heremans and Mathis isn't 100%. I think were very close to having the best offensive line it's just Monroe isn't healthy. We have the 1 and 2 ranked guards according to PFF and that's with KO missing some games. Wagner is still the best RT, Lane Johnson might be higher at this point if he didn't get suspended, obviously they all have the better LTs and centers, but 3/5 positions we top them on isn't bad.

I've got a good feeling about this game. I think the Team bands together in the face of adversity and plays lights out.

i don't like harbaughs hot and cold post game interviews. he's like a kid in a candy store after a win and condescending after a loss. to harbaughs great credit though this team will not quit and thats a reflection of the coach. this team is as resilient and blue collar as the city it represents. the ravens win sunday in typical scratch and claw fashion. go ravens.

post from the dolphins forum:

Do the Ravens still have Ed Reed? No?

Oh good, cause that guy killed us. I'm not afraid of the Ravens anymore.

I had to laugh at this because did anyone see "Inside the NFL" this week?  It was so funny that during a segment when they were talking about the secondary, Ed walked around the entire set as the others were discussing and finally at the end of the segment came up behind Gumbel and said "hey, I'm still available".

Kinda makes you think, lol.

we go into this game having to "fix" or "cover" things in order to eek out a win. Miami is the more balanced team and my sense is that we better match their intensity early or it could be a long and frustrating afternoon.

No question the secondary will need big help from the D line.  Key word, intensity.  I think the Ravens fly around tomorrow like their hair is on fire.

I think they realize it Harbs will have them ready. Can we maintain it, we'll see.

I think the Ravens, Dolphins, and Chargers could (hopefully) be rock, paper, scissors (whichever way you see them). Dolphins beat Chargers. Chargers beat Ravens. Ravens beat Dolphins??????

Getting Asa Jackson back could be big. Camp too.

Hopefully it helps us a lot more than Webb's return did earlier this year.

We may not be mathematically eliminated if we lose today, but if we do lose I know that there is no way we are making the playoffs this year. I don't waste my time holding out hope for 5% chances. I probably will go over those games we blew a thousand more times and get myself upset at how we blew them (Both Bengals losses, the Chargers loss, and all the stupid turnovers at the Colts), especially come playoff time because I am really bitter about them.

The Colts flat out beat us. But at least one of those Bengals games and the Chargers games should've been Ws.

Got a premonition once again..Ravens win..hang on with late lead fading...Lots of points in this one..Torrey plays key role.  Ravens move to 8-5.
