We should sign Ed Reed back. He may not be the same ball hawk he was, but he won't make all those blundering penalties and I bet he could play awesome for four games after a year of having no punishment to the body!

Dummervil doesn't even know where he's lined up at half the time.

He must've seriously been on too much pre-game sauce today. Have no clue what he was doing.

So can someone please explain to me how Steve Smith Sr.'s play vs. the Bengals was OPI but Malcolm Floyd's today wasn't? The Ravens aren't meant to make the playoffs, obviously Roger Goodell is mad that Ray Rice is going to cost him his job and decided to take it out on us by making us miss the playoffs.

Wrong.  The SECONDARY stands out in the loss.

Last I checked, secondary is a part of the defense. I just wasn't specific by saying defense. Still a loss!

Highest passer rating in the 4th quarter of all time hahahah

And most comebacks of any qb since 2006

He does have a few INTs but he's more likely to win the game than do that

Idk just my opinion

Joe has won us games down to bare minute this season and last season.  Have you forgot the Vikings game?  Have you forgot this year's Browns game? Hell, look at the end of the 2nd Bengals game AND the Colts game.  Pretty sure Joe threw the balls, but the WR couldn't hold on.  Your point is mute

Does the rulebook state: "on a defensive pass interference in the endzone, the ball is placed at the one yard line -unless it's the Ravens; in that case the ball is placed alternatively at the seven or the three yard line"?

I'm confused on this one.

Btw- as soon as Walt Anderson was identified as the referee on the first play of the game, you knew it was going to go bad for us.

10-6 or 9-7 seems pretty likely at this point, with loses to Miami and maybe Houston. Playoffs is all up to chance now, and either way with this defense, we aren't going anywhere. Our team is almost, but not quite there. Need to get Jimmy Smith back and draft some corners. I for one am impressed with Flacco's playing lately; not a whole ton of yardage, but he's getting his job done and hasn't thrown any picks since the @ Pittsburgh game. Sure, offense should have scored more touchdowns than field goals, but the game is still 95% on the defense.

THink this pretty much sums it up nicely.

Sorry, but when you have the caliber of players on defense we do and let up thirty points a game and can't make crucial stops, its obviously the coaching and the coordinator.

Yes, but the reality is, when it comes to our secondary, we don't actually have good players.

I can't believe Pees had them play off like that with so much time left, it is one thing if it is garbage time but they had plenty of time to make a play and we just let them waltz down the field on that drive.

And I can't believe the FO did hardly anything to improve this current secondary group. We respect Flowers so much that we hardly target SS this game yet we don't sign him when he was on the street. The entire board knew we needed a better secondary and I know injuries have hurt but we needed to have done more in the offseason to address it whether it be signing an actual FA who isn't some camp body or drafting someone with potential. If we had even close to a decent secondary we would be legitimate contenders for a championship, just makes it all the more frustrating.

Flowers was not coming here. The guy wanted to be a number one cornerback not a two or three and he wanted to face his former team as well which is why he signed with The Chargers. The Ravens had high hopes for Chykie Brown and Asa Jackson which is why they didn't press harder to sign a veteran cornerback. Every team has a player at some point they really expect to be solid but turn out such a player never reach their expectation. It's a business and in business you gamble and sometimes you lose out.

I saw this when we settled for the FG and were only ahead by 6 points and the couple drives that the defense gave up right before that FG I knew it was going to be a sick feeling at the end of the game!!!

The Secondary is also a part of the team last time I checked.  So why not say the team lost the game?  Because being specific matters.  And the secondary SPECIFICALLY lost us the game

You know if Aiken gets out of bounds , we were in long field goal position right with a couple of seconds ??

Aiken did all he could to get out.  Flowers made a great tackle there.

The spent timeout on the attempted fake FG at the end of the game proved to be crucial also.

How far would that FG attempt have been if we had 1 second left?

Letting Teryl Austin go to Detroit along with Caldwell is the one I really wish we didn't let go. Detroit's D is number one I believe under him, and yet we kept Pees. :(

Pees is.one of harbaughs buddy so of course we kept him instead of austin. Pees is cam cameron of the defense

The offence left a lot of points on the field.  I mean, they put up 33, so you can't put the game on them at all, but if some guys didn't drop the ball so much, they might have been able to overcome the double trouble of bad defence and Walt Anderson.

Losing Marlon Brown hurt today.

If we draft well on defense, don't lose too many people in the offseason and manage to hold onto Kubiak before he's offered a head coaching job somewhere else, I think we'll be set for next year.

With this secondary, even if we make it to the playoffs we're not going to go anywhere.  We've had one of the easiest schedules in the league, but our defense simply isn't up to the job.

Hire Wade Phillips or Rex Ryan in the offseason to shore up our defense and give it some swagger back.

We have no NO.2 CB's. All of the current one's are 5th and practice squad options...like Ozzie said you can never have too many CB's in today's NFL

Something that will go overlooked in this game is that 3rd and 4 play. Where SD lined up showing blitz. Flacco does play-action.

If we run the ball there we go to the 2 minute warning regardless if we get a first down. Then we kick a FG following 2 minute warning. Then a KO as well SD might get the ball back with 1:55 seconds. Rather than 2:30 seconds.

lets just hope for a top 15 pick. we'll definitely be disappointed if we make the playoffs

God help us if we have to rely on a rookie to safe our secondary.  We need to get someone from FA.  A real professional
