What a bunch of bums... this loss falls squarely on the Defense and Coaching staff. We simply got out coached in the last 3 minutes of the game... why in the world didn't they just run the ball on that last possession in the red zone and eat up more time if they didn't get the first? Very bad call and probably the end to our season

1 second is the difference

if we had a secondary that could cover man to man in any aspect it gives the front seven at least 1 second to get to the QB

it really is childs play.

This was exactly my point when I posted before the game that I was not convinced. This is what happens when they play teams with winning records.

The defense stands out in the loss but the offense will miss scoring opportunities that cannot happen against better teams.

Joe Flacco is no Peyton Manning or Tony Romo when it comes to the final 2 minutes

Pretty sure that's compliment considering Romo has a reputation of throwing INT in dire moments when the game is on the line.

One thing for sure. Elam is awful. I dont have words for how bad. He just tackles WRs running downfield without the ball...does he think it Wont be Seen?

Its ironic that we can't get elam to tackle people with the ball, but he has no problem tackling them when they don't

What a complete bust.

Mosley can't cover anyone. Elam is horrible.

Your actually right about Mosely, he's been struggling in coverage. The pressure consistently pressured right around 2 seconds in the drop back. But someone would be WIDE open in that short time every-time.

Wrong.  The SECONDARY stands out in the loss.

i dont get people blaming dean pees for the loss. Consider the context. Our defense has a front 7 loaded with  high picks. Now we have a secondary, which if I recall was the most deep position on our team in 2011 and 2012 and even last year, turn to a dumpster fire. levine and gorrer are at best average corners, elam has no business playing corner, brooks is in the doghouse, and webb has lost his elite athletic ability. The only plus player is will hill. no above-average players. Any competent qb can put up 30 points on us like rivers just did. that is why we cannot reach the sb this season and why dean pees is handcuffed. If he blitzes and uses creativity, he runs the risks of getting burned for a big play. So he plays it safe and hopes the offense makes a mistake by playing zone.

The man is doing the best with what he has. The loss of jimmy smith was and still is the nail in the coffin for the 2014 ravens.

I understand it because they try to play bend but dont break defense it works to a point but at some point you have to change it up. Well at least 2 times today I saw Rivers see what hand the Ravens were playing then audible it to that side and smoke the Ravens.

in the Super Bowl we had

Reed

Cary Williams (way better then anything we currently have)

Corey Graham ( super underrated check out PFF..a top 8 corner..)

JImmy

Pollard

now we have scrubville

That one really hurts

The offence left a lot of points on the field.  I mean, they put up 33, so you can't put the game on them at all, but if some guys didn't drop the ball so much, they might have been able to overcome the double trouble of bad defence and Walt Anderson.

I don't know any college corners this year. But we need something Draft or FA. I've said all year it's dumb to rotate a bunch of mediocre safeties to mask their deficiencies. We trusted will hill on Graham but didn't make him lock on gates , we got trawick a ST falling on ground.

I've never been the guy on here screaming bust to players early. But man in my eyes for Elam to crawl out of the hole he's dug for himself. He would need to really make some game changing plays big time ints, fumble forces etc. It's 2 years now he's played a ton, he definitely is getting worse.

Webb hyped him during training camp must have been because both were blowing coverages together as they do weekly in games ( I know injuries have knocked Webb down. But my gosh ).

Highest passer rating in the 4th quarter of all time hahahah

And most comebacks of any qb since 2006

He does have a few INTs but he's more likely to win the game than do that

Idk just my opinion

Hate to pile it on Elam right now (not really), but if he'd actually made that INT on that I believe 2nd to last SD drive, we would've probably won. Dude came up after that play like he made the defensive play of the year.

that hurt me, because I thought he was about to make a play and make up for those penalties... But no his good got in the way of his great.

Dumervil is like the Michael Oher of OLBs

What's the cap hit for letting him go in the off-season and using that money to extend Upshaw?

Because, if the Chargers had matched us with a FG to send us to overtime... the majority of the folks here would be screaming "Why didn't we score that FG earlier instead of being overly aggressive".

10-6 or 9-7 seems pretty likely at this point, with loses to Miami and maybe Houston. Playoffs is all up to chance now, and either way with this defense, we aren't going anywhere. Our team is almost, but not quite there. Need to get Jimmy Smith back and draft some corners. I for one am impressed with Flacco's playing lately; not a whole ton of yardage, but he's getting his job done and hasn't thrown any picks since the @ Pittsburgh game. Sure, offense should have scored more touchdowns than field goals, but the game is still 95% on the defense.

dropped passes dont help either, and there were huge ones today. also that garbage ineligible man upfield that stalled us in the redzone, ya know when daniels caught a ball for a first down and ran it inside the 10? that was major and i believe it wouldve turned into a td instead of a FG if it wasnt brought back.

Sorry, but when you have the caliber of players on defense we do and let up thirty points a game and can't make crucial stops, its obviously the coaching and the coordinator.

That's the only time he seems to be able to tackle anyone. Not a zing. Fact.

Too many defensive lapses all game to blame a dropped INT on why they lost.

Letting Teryl Austin go to Detroit along with Caldwell is the one I really wish we didn't let go. Detroit's D is number one I believe under him, and yet we kept Pees. :(
