So who is going to the Pro Bowl?

58 posts in this topic

Dumervil obviously.

Forsett?

Yanda of course...

Ngata 6th straight

Wagner?  His pff @ RT is top 5 since he started

Justin Tuck obviously

Kyle Juice *should* be the probowl FB

Osemele with a small chance of possibility..

Sizzle? Wishful thinking?

Brandon Williams *should* get a depth nod

and last but not least Steve Smith Jr

I'm guessing at least 5 pro-bowlers from Ravens squad to the probowl.  What ya'll think?

We have a lot that have good chances this year.  Who makes it?  I won't even pretend to guess honestly.  It's all a crapshoot anymore, but these are the guys I think have a legitimate shot based on their play...

Justin Forsett

Kyle Juszczyk

Steve Smith

Marshal Yanda

Rick Wagner

Haloti Ngata

CJ Mosley

Elvis Dumervil

Justin Tucker

Sam Koch

Based on rep only: Ngata, Suggs

Based on production: Yanda, Wagner, Steve, Forsett, Mosley, Tucker, Steve, Doom.

Yanda and Wagner should be starting next to each other in the Pro Bowl.

I'm angry that zach martin is the highest vote getter at guard. Everyone knows Yanda is the best guard in the game and it isn't even close. KO is also better than Martin

My picks:

KO

YANDA

WAGNER

STEVE SMITH

FORSETT

NGATA

MOSLEY

DUMERVIL

Wouldn't he be too young to be eligible?

Maybe I'm not understanding here but are you saying Suggs and Ngata don't deserve to be there on production? That they'll make it on reputation alone? If you're implying that then I think you're really off base. I think both have played really well this year.

Terrell Suggs has 38 combined tackles, 6 sacks and 1 Safety. If he turns it up the next 6 games and gets at least a sack a game, he should make the Pro Bowl in combination with his name value. Right now though, those stats don't cut it. Although so much of his value has to be considered in presence and elite level run stopping on the edge.

I believe these guys are locks:

  • C.J Mosley
  • Marshal Yanda
  • Elvis Dumervil
  • Justin Forsett(Yes, he'll get in and I think he'll grab an All-Pro Award as well)
  • Haloti Ngata
  • Terrell Suggs

Guys who I hope to see get in:

  •   Joe Flacco: Seriously, how does Andy Dalton and Alex Smith gets in but Joe doesn't? I think Joe will finish strong and get into the Pro Bowl, finally.
  • Rick Wagner, so happy with his play, it's really great to see.
  • K.O: Has a problem with health, but when healthy, he plays with the best of them.
  • Jeremy Zuttah, he's been awesome too.
  • Steve Smith Sr., future HOF in my eyes, hope he gets in as well!

I think five players is a decent guess. That's a pretty big number for one team, but I wouldn't be surprised at all. Doom is currently second in sacks, Forsett third I think in rushing yards, Moseley near the top in tackles, Koch and Tucker among the best performers at their respective positions... We have a few worthy contenders on the line, as well, and I'd bet we get a couple of them in. Suggs and Ngata have played great, and fans know their names, which obviously helps. The same can be said about Sr. All that said, I'd say five is more than reasonable.

With Brady, Manning, Rivers and Luck there is almost zero chance Flacco gets a probowl. All of their stats and name recognition are greater than Flaccos year after year anyway.

Big lack of Mcphee in this thread.

Not that big of a name yet...Once he gets a nice sized contract somewhere and show year to year consistency, he has the potential to go to a few.

Crazy how many Ravens could go.... Jimmy and maybe Pitta could be in contention as well had they stayed heathy.

The only locks I'd say are Suggs, Ngata, Yanda and Steve Smith. It would be screwed up if Forsett doesn't go.... KO, Doom, Tucker, and CJ all deserve it as well. Hopefully the teams off to better things though...

Yeah, but Brady, Manning or Luck may play in the Superbowl, that's under the assumption Flacco doesn't ;)

Also, there are QB's who pull out as well.

Yup. It also doesn't help that he isn't the most popular guy around.

It does make me wonder how the heck Dalton and Smith got enough votes, but Flacco never has...personally I lost interest in the pro bowl a long time ago; there are always 3-4 people every single year who get snubbed and for some reason that just irks the crap outta me lol...

Yanda

tucker

Koch (#1 in pro bowl voting for punters somehow)

Forsett

Steve

Juice (just cause he has good stats for a FB as a receiving threat)

Mosley

Dumervil

Should Go:

Wagner (PFF #1 rated RT and #5 rated T)

KO (In a perfect would, but not gonna happen)

Jimmy but he got hurt

Cmon now, Ngata lead Dlineman in INTs and has a very solid season.

Since conferences arent factored in anymore, there's a little better chance. Add Rodgers and Brees to the list, but not much else from this season. Always a chance one of those is downplayed by the fans, and you know there are always dropouts.

The way Murray and Bell are playing, he doesn't even have an outside shot at All Pro.

Somehow?  Do you realize how good Koch has been this year?  He deserves a Pro Bowl spot if he keeps it up.
