Week 13 Discussion(Other NFL Teams)

340 posts in this topic

Week 13 is here, which means Turkey and Football! Heading into week 13 the playoffs in both the AFC & NFC are WIDE OPEN. There are no scenarios for a team to clinch anything, except the Raiders, Titans, Jaguars and Jets who have clinched four spots to the "Mathematically eliminated from Playoff Contention" table. Too bad they aren't in the NFC South, they would still be in contention.... Hey OH!

Key Games:

Eagles @ Cowboys: The annual turkey day edition of watching the Cowboys. At least this time, this will have plenty on the line. Mark Sanchez has had a revival under Chip Kelly and the Eagles haven't lost a step since losing Foles. The Cowboys look for another huge divisional win, and this is huge because both teams are currently tied for first in the NFC East.

Seahawks @ 49ers: Seahawks travel to San Fran to continue their so called "rivalry", even though neither of these teams haven't figured out how to win in the other team's stadium. Since the 49ers win in San Fran and vice versa with the Seahawks, this should be a 49ers win right?

Redskins @ Colts: 2 years in the making, we have waited for this game. Andrew Luck vs RG... Colt McCoy? Yep, Colt McCoy will be the starter against the Colts as RG3 has been benched.

Patriots @ Packers: Why this isn't the SNF game is beyond me, who wants to watch the Broncos against the Chiefs when we can watch Aaron Rodgers out play Tom Brady in prime time.

AFC North Related:

Browns @ Bills: Ok Buffalo, you keep winning and keep making your first round pick as low as possible. The Browns meanwhile will want to win as it helps them toward a higher pick from the Bills.

Bengals @ Buccaneers: We need a miracle here, but remember Tampa, you can still win your division so go out there and beat the Bengals!

Saints @ Steelers: So Saints, this is where you start winning again ok, got it? Beat the Steelers.

Pfft... NO! As the meme goes, "Same poop, different toilet". Hawks will take out the Niners in their new home in Santa Clara on U.S. Turkey night.

I've gotten tired of the whole "Brady v. Manning" bit for a long time (save for Peyton's time with the Colts), and having "Brady v. Rodgers" is a nice change-up. I say Rodgers in his own house against Brady.

And of course, all AFC North teams that are not the Ravens MUST LOSE!!!!! So, Bills, Bucs and Saints, you know what to do.

Why are all 3 Thanksgiving games NFC? Geez, they could have tossed us AFC people a game we could care about.

Honestly (when we're considering the juggernauts) no AFC team has had a well match up this season.  Not Pats vs Colts; Pats vs. Denver; Pitt vs BAL....

Green bay vs New england should be game fo the week and I too have been sick of our matchups with manning for a while. We don't get to go against rodgers often so it should be a good one. Kansas vs denver is interesting and I think kansas will pull off a close one. Oh and yeah I think every AFC North team besides maybe the browns win this week easily.

Just looking at the Bears schedule, it isn't crazy to think they win out. If they do, they finish 10-6 with tiebreaker over Detroit, Dallas and San Fran...

Just sayin'

Great start from the Bears on both sides. Have to attacking the Detroit defense in the air.

Again it seems the Lions are struggling after starting so strong earlier in the season. Make it 14-10 now, could be in for a shootout.

Making Stafford look like a quality qb? Lol

The very same job AJ Green has with Andy Dalton lol.

Wow that was a dumb penalty

Well I been waiting for the day a sack would be called roughing the passer. Today apparently is that day. Horrible call by the official.
