This morning I realized this is most likely the last time Jarret Johnson plays in Baltimore.

Just wanted to give the man a shout out

Didn't even think about that.  The fans better show respect when they announce him.  Wish he could've been a part of the 12 team.

Agreed. A real shame he wasn't.

But there is a huge Ravens fan base in Miami.  I loved hear the Seven Nation chant in Miami last time we paid them a visit!

I agree! I'm contemplating going to that game as well. I just don't see what everyone is hung up on about Miami. Yes, they have a good front seven, but they aren't elite. Ours is better in my opinion. They're living off the Chargers game. It's impressive anytime you shut an NFL team out, but they aren't THAT good. They're a quality team, but I think their defensive effectiveness is being overblown.

I'm not sure if Weddle is hurt, but he's been one of their best DBs in recent years. Outside of that, I think they have a mediocre secondary. I'm not willing to give our guys the nod without Jimmy back there though. Our front seven are better though without question.

They're actually pretty damn good, but no invincible. They're ranked 6th against the pass, which is still damn good, but against the run they're not that great against the run, I also heard that they're secondary is going through some troubles at the moment, statistically they're really good but right now they're pretty banged up. So is Phillip Rivers however, some say he's not but he just doesn't look the same compared to early on when people were calling him an MVP candidate and front runner to Peyton Manning and Andrew Luck.

Their secondary is nothing to sleep on, but they're pretty banged up there. Also, San Diego has trouble adjusting towards time zones as well seen in Miami, if Ryan Tannehil can have the game he had against San Diego, so can Joe.

Right because everything starts at 1:00 PM for the game.  There is no early meeting, game film study, last minute injury changes, weather issues or the myriad of other concerns prior to kick-off.  Nope you just show up at 1:00 kick the ball or receive and you're right as roses.

You may want to actually travel and deal with even a 4 hour difference prior to posting nonsense.

Here is a taste of reality from today's LFW and the team was only coming from New Orleans-

“Flying 2 1/2 hours back from New Orleans immediately after the game, the Ravens landed in Baltimore at 4 a.m. Tuesday,” Hensley reported. “The coaches slept an hour at the team facility before starting their all-day preparation for the Chargers, so they could get the game plan to the players on Wednesday morning."

:th_snapoutofit:

Sorry, but you sound like WalterFootball with his circadian rhythm conspiracies. These guys are in arguably the best shape of anyone on the planet, and have arguably the best professionals monitoring their schedules - and have a lot more experience in that kind of thing than you or I. If I can adjust to an 18-hour time shift in one night (twice), a professional athlete should be able to adjust to a four-hour shift in two nights or they have no business being a professional athlete.

Chargers OL has been having problems...this is the biggest mismatch. Ravens should win this one. Toughest remaining scheduled game is EASILY @ Miami. Miami is stout defensively, physical and Tannehill has been playing well and can run also.

For what it's worth here's a short article that paints their current injury sitation in the best light, including good ol' Jarret Johnson:

http://www.utsandiego.com/news/2014/nov/26/chargers-krasovic-ravens-allen-mccoy-flacco-rivers/

It doesn't mention that they have placed the following on IR in 2014 - WR Vincent Brown, RB Danny Woodhead, CB Jason Verrett (their 2014 1st round draft pick), and 3 CENTERS! Rich Ohmberger, Nick Hardwick, and Doug Legursky.

They played rookie Chris Watt at center. You'd think our boys up the A gap would hunt all day, eh?

Our fat guys need some shake sack too..

Easy way to lose this game: pass 50x again and give them INTs into TDs

I don't see why people were talking about NO as the must win game with this on the schedule right after. Both teams are 7-4, but currently San Diego is the wild card. If the Ravens win, they take that wild card. This is the game they cannot lose

Hopefully we would take that wildcard spot. However, if we win, along with the Cheifs and Steelers, but the Browns lose, Pitt and KC would then occupy the wildcard spots. Weird stuff with this big jumble. Good thing for us, though, those two team play each other in a few weeks.

Is this satire? I'm pretty sure the team meeting was early.

Not satire.. It was everywhere online

There's a lot of weird things that could happen, but I'd prefer the Ravens control their destiny with a win

Time for our secondary to stand up and send a message to the rest of the league by a strong defense against Rivers' deep balls!

SHUT'EM DOWN BOYS!!!

Go Ravens!

First Sunday afternoon game on TV in Philly since Carolina, so I won't have to watch the delayed DirectTV internet stream. Psyched about that. I'll just triple screen the other North games on my computer in the background.

I wasn't feeling good about this one until the news of the rookie center starting for San Diego. M&T is not a great place to experience the nfl for starters

Edit

For the record Chris Watt is now the 4th starting center for the Chargers this year. He was really impressive with Notre Dame though but hopefully he has the jitters

No matter what the the outcome of this game show some B-more love to the Charger Fans (like always). They always treat us well in San Diego. Classy bunch.

That being said...On the Field: Let them know that this is where the Rivers end, Gates close and Freeneys freeze, Royals lose every possession and Ravens feast.

GO Ravens!!! We got this.

Ravens be wary of Rivers. He is always looking deep. YES!!!!!! He is always looking deep.

Remember the last time?

Last time we won?

Last time we won?

He must be thinking of 2011. I barely even remember that one because it was so bad that I think I've blocked it out of my memory. The only play I think I remember was Torrey scoring a long touchdown in garbage time.

he torched us about 3 years ago... I was at that game lol

Me too. That was not a good showing. I met Adam Jones at the tailgate though, so that was fun.
