Hey yall, this should be a good game. I know some of you expect it to be easy but Chargers have only been blown out twice this season, @ DEN and @ BAL, both times they were completely injured and had their 5th string guys playing.

Bolts have been much more healthier these past 2 weeks and have everyone back.

Chargers passing should get it going against the Ravens 29th ranked pass defense. The Ravens also have given up 40 passing plays of 20 yards or more, tied for No. 23 in the league.

However, the Ravens will have success running the ball IMO. Forsett is a beast (I've been a fan of his since college days) and the Ravens O line does a good job run blocking. I think Bolts DBs, Brandon Flowers, Shareece Wright and Pro Bowler Eric Weddle, can handle the Smiths.

Should be a fun exciting game, looking forward to it! Hoping for no injuries for either squad!

The smart ones here know how much trouble you all usually give us.  I don't think this game will be easy at all.

Why does it seem like your team can never stay healthy?

All i got to say is....chargers really got it hard w/ all the inuries right now.

All hands are pointing this game as a WIN.   Just get it done.   AFCN is a tough battle, and this is one hill we need to climb before the finale.

Its about time we get to play the chargers at home. It feels like every time we play them its on the road. We have the momentum right not imho. We are coming off 2 convincing wins while they skated by the raiders and rams. We are more healthy than they are. Our front seven should dominate there oline. I like how we played in the secondary. Just need to clean a few things up. We have a chance to make a real statement over the next few weeks. Beating the chargers and dolphins will help our wild card chances and even put us in position for the afc north. The bengals and steelers play each toehr twice and have tough games otherwise. The bengals still have the brwons and broncos while the steelers have the saints and chiefs. Either one of them is going to drop off. I don't see either one winning out. We've still got a punchers chance at the division. Just need to keep consistent.

Has Rivers beaton us yet?

He shredded them a few years back in SD...Gaither manhandled Suggs and Antwan Barnes ran rough shod all night long...

Hopefully Brandon Williams and Haloti Ngata take advantage of this.

Quick, trade them Gino... see how "Elite" Rivers looks with defenders giving pressure right up the gut, 2 seconds after the snap.

Uggghhg that game was disgusting, and on prime time. Jimmy looked like he was 5'2 with weights on his feet. Barnes looked like an All Pro, and Suggs looked like a boy against men. That was one bad loss that year.

At least it is at home. Oddly, I can't remember the last time we hosted the Chargers. Every game I can remember playing them was at SD. We had the game in 2009 or 2010  that Ray Lewis shot the gap to tackle Sproles to seal the win. Then was that absolute beat down the Chargers gave us in 11(?). Then in 12 would have been the 4th and 29 Ray Rice up the middle play. So I can't remember a time the Chargers came here to play.

New thread: the worst beat down..I actually watch all games but that one I was grabbing for the remote.

100% agree!  Williams going full Hulk next to Ngata is making outward stretching waves of Chaos in the trenches!  Really can't say how much these two ignite most of the other defensive results.

I know there is a lot of hate for him, but I like Monroe.  He is struggling right now and I suspect there is an injury that we are not hearing about.  Hope he comes through this week and shores up the left side of the line.  Osemele is a straight animal but can't do it alone.

The Ravens going 6-0 to end the season looks much more doable now that the Saints have been vanquished. Still, no team is a cakewalk but all are beatable.

I say 5-1 with a loss at miami

At Miami is going to be insanely tough for us. That defense is nasty. Our line better step up. Hopefully they use this week to ball out and gain mad confidence.

Last time we played, we needed a miracle 4th and 29 play to win. This one won't be easy

Rivers is pretty banged up though, if we can get to him early and often with the pass rush its going to be a long day in Baltimore for that team.

I think their O line has gotten even more injuries lately so offensively they will be weaker.

For what it's worth here's a short article that paints their current injury sitation in the best light, including good ol' Jarret Johnson:

http://www.utsandiego.com/news/2014/nov/26/chargers-krasovic-ravens-allen-mccoy-flacco-rivers/

It doesn't mention that they have placed the following on IR in 2014 - WR Vincent Brown, RB Danny Woodhead, CB Jason Verrett (their 2014 1st round draft pick), and 3 CENTERS! Rich Ohmberger, Nick Hardwick, and Doug Legursky.

They played rookie Chris Watt at center. You'd think our boys up the A gap would hunt all day, eh?

i watched the bolts/rams game on rewind. shaun hill is pretty bad. it was hard to guage their secondary because hills throws were so far off. matthews left the game with a shoulder injury but briefly came back. matthews is a good runner if healthy. this game could hinge on his play.

But there is a huge Ravens fan base in Miami.  I loved hear the Seven Nation chant in Miami last time we paid them a visit!

lol @ people saying "they are a west coast team playing on the east coast time zone" and describing how time zones work. Firstly, congratulations on understanding how the US time zones work. Secondly, they are adults, and they are professionals, them playing at 10:00/1:00 is no difference. And im sure they will fly in Friday or Saturday, not Sunday morning lol. Regardless, should be a good game!

Right because everything starts at 1:00 PM for the game.  There is no early meeting, game film study, last minute injury changes, weather issues or the myriad of other concerns prior to kick-off.  Nope you just show up at 1:00 kick the ball or receive and you're right as roses.

You may want to actually travel and deal with even a 4 hour difference prior to posting nonsense.

Here is a taste of reality from today's LFW and the team was only coming from New Orleans-

“Flying 2 1/2 hours back from New Orleans immediately after the game, the Ravens landed in Baltimore at 4 a.m. Tuesday,” Hensley reported. “The coaches slept an hour at the team facility before starting their all-day preparation for the Chargers, so they could get the game plan to the players on Wednesday morning."

Both teams are 7-4 with AFC playoff implications on the line. Are the players in our secondary equal to the Chargers defensive backfield or better than their players?  A highly debatable subject.

The difference should be the play of our front 7.  Their secondary is banged up I think, but I don't think their situation is as bad as ours, though not many are.  If they do their job, we can take this game over early if the offense comes to play, but that can be said for every game.

This morning I realized this is most likely the last time Jarret Johnson plays in Baltimore.

Just wanted to give the man a shout out
