While I admire Drew Brees ,I despise Phillip "arrogant" Rivers .

I hope we drive him into the dirt.

About time we had a San Diego game here as well .

This is one of the two "must-win" games we have left (Cleveland pending as a third), where if we lose we'd be in genuine trouble in the playoff race.

Same plan as this week: let the front seven do its thing, and hope the secondary isn't TOO big of a liability.

I'm not getting close to making a prediction for this one, as bad things seem to happen when I do, but there's no reason we can't get it done and knock the Bolts back a step.

I would add Miami as well.  They're right there in the hunt as well and stacking AFC wins will greatly help our cause.

I'd bet he was thinking Miami as the second team of his two.

Agreed, they're my other one. We can drop two or even three and still make it, but if we drop one of the next two we'll be starting to rely on other results.

I've watched a lot of Chargers games this year and they aren't very good. Getting Ryan Mathews back helps them, but their OL is below average. Rivers is good but he needs protection. I think our DL will terrorize him. Malcolm Floyd is really their only deep threat with Keenan Allen being the intermediate target. Gates is having a decent season, but I think our LBs can handle him.

Chargers D is bad against the pass and average against the run. We should be able to move the ball easily. As long as we dont settle for FGs and don't turn the ball over it should be a win.

Back2Back games against teams in the playoff hunt couldn't be more exciting // nerve racking. Our chance to create some separation by knocking the competition down a notch and dashing their hopes.

Plus we made Cowherd's NFL top ten.  :229031_cheer:

That's what the bye week was for.  Get your nerves ready for the last stretch.

The Ravens, Tampa, NO and BUF will all win their games next week!  I'm calling it and putting it out in the atmosphere right now!

I thought you said you were done with predictions! What gives?!?!?

The Ravens O line hasnt played well against 3-4 defenses. The Colts and Squeelers were taking team photos at the QB position..I look for Pagano to dial up an aggressive strategy and bring it Sunday..

It doesn't have anything to do with 3-4 or 4-3, just a matter of how aggressive the teams were with bringing pressure and how well the OL picks it up. New Orleans play a 3-4 defense and blitzed a ton, but the Ravens were well prepared for it. How about the Steelers in week 2, Browns in week 3, Falcons in week 7, or Titans in week 10? They are all 3-4 defenses that had very little success so I think your theory has very little factual basis.

The Chargers just don't have the players to consistently bring pressure defensively. They are rated 27th in pass-rush by PFF and only have 18 sacks on the season. We have one of the best OLs in the league.

Chargers got a makeshift oline, give up 4.5 ypc, and only have one good secondary player(verret is out) in brandon flowers. Assuming he shadows steve smith, expect camp and torrey to have good games(at least if we want to win) and the run game should get going.

Defense needs to destroy their oline. Gates is no graham so let daryl smith(looking faster) or mosley deal with him. The only real area of concern is if rivers gets time and burns us with floyd, royal, and allen. Here's hoping webb gets even better and the secondary balls out.

If this game was at the beginning of the season it might be a toss up. However, over the past few weeks the Chargers game play has definitely declined. Along with that the Ravens have had a great season thus far, minus the Steelers game which there shouldn't have been a loss like that even with the injuries. Over the past couple weeks though, especially last night, the secondary, which had started to running on fumes, has really stepped up their game being able to pretty well contain that Saints offense. That game, I feel, the numbers don't exactly show how the game went. If you look at the numbers it was a pretty evenly matched game. But as we all know, the Ravens were much more physical and the defense made a statement during the game. If they continue to play like they did last night, as well as the advantage of being home, the Ravens should win this game with relative ease.

Hey yall, this should be a good game. I know some of you expect it to be easy but Chargers have only been blown out twice this season, @ DEN and @ BAL, both times they were completely injured and had their 5th string guys playing.

Bolts have been much more healthier these past 2 weeks and have everyone back.

Chargers passing should get it going against the Ravens 29th ranked pass defense. The Ravens also have given up 40 passing plays of 20 yards or more, tied for No. 23 in the league.

However, the Ravens will have success running the ball IMO. Forsett is a beast (I've been a fan of his since college days) and the Ravens O line does a good job run blocking. I think Bolts DBs, Brandon Flowers, Shareece Wright and Pro Bowler Eric Weddle, can handle the Smiths.

Should be a fun exciting game, looking forward to it! Hoping for no injuries for either squad!

Any Ravens fan knows better than to think it's ever going to be "easy".

Correct. The stats people are flashing up here are meaningless considering the Ravens played mainly bottom feeders outside of their division. I think they struggle against a fast outside pass rush and short passing game..It will be a good test at this point in the season against a banged up but capable team.

Its sort of amusing to me, because its almost like they don't even watch their own team play.

Like I said in a later post, the Chargers haven't played a good football game since early October, and their last five games are against Baltimore, KC, SF, NE and Denver.

LOL This post couldn't be more further from the truth.  Specifically the bolded portion.

Ravens fans see themselves as some juggernaut, where I see a middling team. A healthy Chargers team would take these guys to the woodshed. (They also don't know Rivers has been playing injured)

I don't get it - so Rivers is injured, does this guy mean he's going to magically be healed in 1 week?  And I love how he's implying that they've already got a built in excuse if they lose - injuries; if they win, we suck because an injured team beat us, but if we win, well hey, we wouldn't have won if the Chargers were healthy.  I'm choosing to ignore the bolded part - every fan and player needs to make things up now and then to get themselves fired up for the game.

I don't think they even LOOKED at a ravens fan, they deffinitley didn't talk to one.

Oh and how would a healthy chargers team blow us out? We beat them at their house 2 years ago!
