He was much more comfortable. The Kubiak self-evaluation of the offense during the bye was huge.

Agreed.. Think there were some very good changes for our WR as well.. Couple slant plays that were perfectly setup

Also helps sains has nothing going outside of some inside pressure and when Monroe got destroyed

Joe looked really sharp and decisive last night. The afore mention slant plays were perfect, 5 step drop, ball was out! Keep it Joe, awesome job!

Flacco was 13 of 17 for 222 yds and td against the blitz. Best performance in his carrer against the blitz stats wise according to espn

It was exactly what I've been dying to see. He and the receivers were on the same page and knew exactly where to go when the pressure was shown. He even tried to check out of a run for a quick completion to Brown, but Brown didn't get the memo. These are things we have been missing. I hope it becomes a trend.

The pathetic D of the Saints helped too. Gruden stated the Ravens were spreading them out im not sure if he meant by the running game or the passing game? Because they didnt use more than a 3 receiver set the entire game...at least i didnt see it. I did like the strategy to run the hell out of it. However, I envisioned against that awful secondary they would go with multiple receiver sets of >3 at some point.

lol @ my dad today. He is both a titans and a saints fan so you can probably imagine how he has felt for the last 2 weeks.

He said "your gonna have to watch it if you keep beating my teams like that."

On Pees-- I read that he gave a fiery halftime speech to the defense expecting a better performance. I'm hoping Pees keeps letting the boys play like they did yesterday.

That speech really did wonders because they played stellar football in the second half. I know people get this idea that the "bend but don't break" defense means they can just march down the field, but not score, but if you want to see what it truly is, watch the second half. The Ravens executed it perfectly in the second half. They forced dump offs and underneath throws, tackled immediately, and didn't allow completions to go for first downs. That was Pees' defense at its finest this year.

That's what a bye week can do for you

Just saw the video on LFW.. That O doesn't so justice on just how loud it was and how many ravens fans were there...

Absolutely ridiculous how much purple was in the crowd

Would you say it was half and half? 30%? 40%? 45%?

people get that idea because minus the bucs and panthers games thats exactly what happened.

The saints got over 500 yards on us last night as well.

A ton of that came in the first half (over 300) and in garbage time (probably close to 85). I was referring to the second half

My question is, where was the flag on Junior Gallete for kicking (stomping?) Eugene Monroe? It should have been an ejection.

Part of that is the play of my man torrey smith. I've critiqued him for what I perceived as a lack of wr ability. he proved me wrong and then some. dude looked like a good receiver out there. Patrick Robinson(decent corner) could not keep up with him due to some good route running. It was refreshing to watch. not to mention, torrey did something he has not done a lot of this season. Look to pick up some yac. Its awesome to see steve smith coming in here producing, but if he can make torrey into a productive receiver that can get you 5 catches 100 yards or so a game. That would do wonders for the offense with a returning campanaro.

problem is, torrey can only do that against bad secondarys (Bucs, NO). Disappears when anyone resembling a decent CB is put against him.

Torrey has had good production against good cornerbacks such as Jonathan Joseph, Brent Grimes, Joe Haden,Ike Taylor,Antonio Cromartie, and etc but since he having a down year probably due to a new offensive scheme there some belief he cant do well against decent cornerbacks and etc.

While I would like to agree with this, Ike Taylor and Antonio Cromartie had terrible years last year. I also don't think he's having a down year. His production is only down because he's had fewer targets.

Torrey can do damage when he's given space, but against a good corner who's pressing him, he struggles to separate.

Yeah I didn't get that either. Seemed like they wanted the Saints to win. Good thing it backfired.

I have to say, I'm losing patience with Matt Elam...... I was backing him up convincing people to give him time, but as time is going by he's getting worse. Damn it

I liked what I saw. It's hard to pick one play that was better than the rest. Everyone played well. Most of all, I liked the fact that we stuck with the game plan, which was to keep Drew Brees off the field. We succeeded with the exception of the stalled drive at the end of the first half which allowed NO to stay in the game and score with seconds left in the 1st half. Dean Pees and Gary Kubiak both did great jobs. Pees' bend but don't break defense is reminiscent of the Dallas Cowboys' flex defense (umbrella defense) in years past. We surrendered a lot of passing yards to one of the premier QBs in the NFL but kept him out of the end zone when it counted.

Thanks, too, to Coach Harbaugh for putting points on the scoreboard early in the game instead of going for it on 4th down! Game balls to everybody. This was the game that would decide whether we were contenders or pretenders. it might take 11 games to win our division so we might as well just run the table. Go Ravens! Outstanding game!!

On the negative side of the ledger, we had to overcome some atrocious officiating once again. There's nothing worse than a blind zebra.

With the win, Flacco tied Ben Roethlisberger for 2nd most regular season wins in the first 7 years of a QB's career (69 wins). 1 more win this season would get him to 70, tying Tom Brady's record. 2 more wins this season gets the record all to himself. Interesting how good the Ravens have been for 7 years since Harbaugh & Flacco came to town.

& Ray Rice......

The pick 6 by Will Hill was huge in the outcome of this game. I researched how teams have faired during the season and clearly see the impact turnovers have on the outcome of games and team records.

AFC North: Browns, +7; Bengals and Ravens, +1; Steelers, -2

NFL top three: Packers, +15; Patriots, +11; Cardinals, +10

NFL bottom three: Raiders, -13; Jets, -12; Jaguars -10

Something else he was really good with was beating the blitz too.  I just rewatched the NFL Network highlights and on the touchdown throw I didn't see this the first time because they were so focused on Steve Smith catching the ball, but Flacco got that ball out with a free blitzer coming dead at him unblocked.    How the heck he got that ball 20 yards downfield to that exact spot is crazy.

I'm really hoping this rhythm passing mode Kubiak is getting Joe into continues, because it can be very effective.

I saw him miss a tackle but that Td pass was all Brook's fault. Elam played it pretty darn well and drove the receiver right to the waiting safety who should have had an easy interception or blasted the receiver.

Their first TD drive should have been a three-and-out, but the red all the way in the back decided to make up some ridiculous hands to the face call on third and four.

Their second scoring drive, a field goal, well... They called that roughing the passer on Ngata on third and long, and then that "catch" that got confirmed via replay... Ugh.

My point is, their stats looked better than what they should have been. This game wasn't as close as it appeared. I didn't even mention Juice's fumble at the one.

Agreed, What the heck? is wrong with the Refs? They have been consistently screwing Baltimore!
