Cheapest Shot of the Year?

My biggest problem with this is he is out of bounds under his own power, so he's not allowed to help finish the play. Essentially, he's done. Why did he keep running up the field? That deserves a suspension. The NFL is so backwards

Chase Coffman is soft as crap - they say those are the type of people who have to resort to cheap stuff to seem tough *cough* Saints...

Scumbag move and definitely intentional.

definitely should have gotten at least a one game suspension. intentional and on an unprotected coach on the sidelines.

I don't know, it's hard to judge intent, and playing devils advocate you could say it really was his momentum that took him that way and it all happened in a split second.  Or it was an intentional cheap shot.  Is there a reason he would be personally mad at the Ravens?  In other words, was there a motive for it?

Come on man. This was a blatant attack. He could clearly see what he was doing, had plenty of time to hold up, and if that's not enough then the arm movement, he clearly pushed him after contact. And yes, there was a motive. He's frustrated being on a crap team and losing another game. So like a no class jerk he takes his anger out on one of our coaches.

Im not saying it wasn't intentional, just playing Devils advocate guys. If it was Dennis Pitta in this video we would be throwing out all of the stops to defend him. Blury video, happened real fast, he's a "good guy," just an accident, etc... That's because we know who Pitta is as a person. We don't know this Titan's TE as a person.

No,

The foot drag told me all about him as a person.

Wow when I went on the Titans forums, I was surprised to see that some of them actually agreed with the hit and thought Chase shouldn't have been fined. Saying "Baltimore is the dirtiest team in the league and deserves a little payback." I never knew we were hated that much outside the AFC North.

After. This happened on the Gorrer pick.

I just watched it about three times after nut having seen it until now. It's a questionable call for sure. I can see how someone would say he might've been off balance and ran into him. Not defending the guy, but I can see it. Regardless, I think that athletes have better body awareness than that and I think he understood where he was. I think it was a dirty hit, because he never even stopped to apologize or anything. Granted, maybe he felt bad and was embarrassed and hope to escape without drawing attention to himself. I'm not sure. I do think his punishment should've been more severe, as Bane would say.

I think he might've been upset that Brooks took out his buddy and felt a need to repay the favor, though that's entirely speculation and has absolutely no factually evidence to support it. It's a tricky situation to be sure. I think the worst part is he never stopped, but it's hard to know intent.

This is by far one of the dirtiest, cheap shots I've seen in a lot of years watching football. How does this moron not get a suspension? An assistant coach, that far off the field of play, a clothes line that belongs in the WWE? Wow, can't help but wonder if a Raven's player pulled this stunt, but I think we all know the answer to that one!   :SPINgigem:

You are absolutely correct and I agree 100%. He wasn't just out of bounds, he was in our bench area!!! He was 2 or 3 yards past the "get back line". There is no way he should be that far out of bounds, let alone take out a coach like that. Especially an intern. If he is getting paid, it's not very much. Completely intentional and uncalled for should have been ejected and suspended, but that's the new NFL for ya...

Players who smoke weed get four games, coaches who trip a player get a $100,000 fine and fired, but if a player decks a coach, no big deal.

Titans fans are probably still bitter about Ray stealing Eddie George's heart and us ruining their special seasonin 2000. Not to mention the fact they lost lol
