Johnny Unitas Jersey?

Alright, I'm deciding which jersey I should get guys, one that I really have my eyes on is Johnny Unitas, tricky part, he's considered an "Indianapolis Colt"....BS! But I need your input, is it a good idea? 

 

 

This one will be custom made, Baltimore Ravens uniform with Unitas name and number on the back. 

 

Will it seem weird? Unitas and his family have always backed the Ravens so that's kind of what I'm basing it on....

I think it would be very odd to see a Ravens Unitas jersey tbh ... Just doesn't seem right for that jersey to not be in Blue and White, and I'm only 24.

Yeah I agree, but no one is going to automatically assume its a Unitas Jersey, people will be saying, "Hey, isn't that a Indy Colts jersey, wow you're not a Ravens fan!"

I have one.  And I have a Baltimore Colts pennant in the man cave hanging above the Ravens SB pennants. Get the throwback jersey, it doesn't look like an indy jersey.

You can never go wrong with a Unitas jersey. In Raven colors or Colt colors. Johnny U was and always be assocciated with Baltimore. I have an antique childrens Johnny Unitas helmet i found in an antique Store in Colorado. Fits a 10-12 year old. Priceless and rare. Probably from early 60's.

Correct me if I am wrong there has never been a #19 here since nor has Indy ever had a 19.

Johnny U was NEVER an Indianapolis Colt.....  and Never will be......  But this is a great site...  It actually talks about how the Pro Football Hall of Fame has them alongside some of the current Indy Colts...  Ticks me off...

 

There is a petition to have them moved to the Baltimore Section of the Hall of Fame

I actually like the idea....  It makes a statement....  That Unitas was NEVER a part of the Indianapolis Colts.  Peyton Manning tried to affiliate himself with the Baltimore Colts.. by wearing the high tops..... and so forth.  He wanted to "honor" him when he passed away...  Fortunately the Unitas family said NO.
