Veteran's Day 2014

Thanks goes out to all my fellow service members, past and present, and even future. Thanks for your service, and for serving with me. Don't forget to get your Mission BBQ, if you like that and all the other freebies. If people only knew what we are paid and the hours we work while on duty.

I, too, would like to express my thanks to all of our service members: past, present, and even future. Without your dedication, this would be a far uglier world.

Today is Veteran's Day!    :fireworks3:   My dad (WWII vet.) always told me whenever I see a Veteran to thank them, and I've always remembered that.

God Bless our Military and their families, those currently serving, those that served in the past, and those that made the ultimate sacrifice.   We thank you for your service!  Thank you to our "Flock" members that served as well.  Raven's Nation is humbled, and thankful!

Blooming onion at Outback, something at Famous Dave's and free coffee at Wawa too. I have a friend who knows where all the free food is, he is retired Air Force.

My husband is a vet. And he went to get his free coffee this morning and the guy behind him said he forgot his ID but asked if this would do, he lifted up his Tshirt and had the USMC globe and anchor with Semper Fi Denang '67 on his chest-- it worked lol. Hubby said he would have bought the guys coffee. My dad is a Navy vet and I'm a Navy brat lol. Thanks to all who have served and those that paid the last full measure of devotion to this country -- I thank you all.

Fun fact did you know the last person drafted in our military retired this year our forces are 100% volunteer!

I just want to take time to thank you all, who served. Not just them but their families, friends, loved ones who supported them, loved them. Pause to remember those who made the "Ultimate Sacrifice" so we can live our lives as we do today. God Bless America, and thank you all. Never forget!

Air Force would know! That's all those guys do is eat! I'm not sure if you ever had the pleasure of going to their DFAC, but it's exceptionally nice. Like, really nice! My friends and I joked that the scraps the Air Force doesn't finish or feels aren't fit to eat they send to the Army. It wouldn't surprise me! Lol.

That's a cool story. Thanks for sharing.

You are right-- he's not fat lol

USCG has some good grub, we took our Sea Scout ship on long cruise and they took the kids out on one of their small boats at Cape Hatteras, they even baked for the kids's , (co-Ed group) it was a trip they will never forget. Out of that trip, out of six kids, we ended up with one in the USMC and one Navy, a third wanted to join the USCG but had issues.
