I AM LEGEND

CBS mistakenly airs John Harbaugh's Steelers jab..

Actually, there are always Ravens fans on the Steeler forum.  I was responding directly to a post commenting on what Steeler fans were supposedly saying. So you may not care, but it was part of the conversation in here.  Second, you're just wrong about Mike.  He did not try to trip Jones…period. He jumped to move out of the way, planting your foot to do that is exactly the movement one would expect in that situation. Its only apples and oranges because you see it through purple glasses. When you really think about it, its a pretty silly accusation. Finally, I never faulted you guys for supporting your coach. Go look at my original post. Or maybe you should follow the whole thread. That would be a bit more respectful than making accusations that don't fit the tenor of the conversation. Fact is, when I come in here, 99% of the time I comment in the "other teams" section or threads that are directly about the Steelers. When you guys won it all, I came in and offered congratulations. I think your "respect" lecture is misguided.

He shouldn't have put himself in that situation in the first place, so that point is invalid.  Also, MT never actually stated that he tried to trip Jacoby.  It had the potential to cause serious injury because the ref running down the sideline could have run into Mike, and also, Mike just barely got out of Jacobys way in time. Even if tripping him wasn't the intention, he still successfully impeded his progress, which is illegal and way more egregious than stating "that team got their asses kicked."

I can't believe there are still people that don't believe that tomlin didn't know full and well exactly what he was doing. You can plainly see on the video that he was using the jumbotron as a rear view mirror and timed his jump perfectly.

Well, for the record, i am not the one who initially made this comparison. It was someone in here. Its you guys "go to" response to anything that happens. "No matter what we did, Mikey tried to trip Jacoby." Which is even more odd, because, I NEVER ATTACKED HARBAUGH FOR WHAT HE SAID.

I know you didn't.  But you said that some people were using the "anything our guy does is fine, anything your guy does is dirty" type of thinking, so the comparison became valid.

Worst part of all of it is....  Then the media asks Tomlin about it????  Come on Guys!!!!!  First off, It's only going to heat up the rivalry more.  Secondly, Like was said, It Never should have been aired...  But... for Tomlin to comment after what their guy did on Sunday....  You just can't criticize when you have stuff like that happening on your own team.. Bring it on, Tomlin.

Ya, but we love having this rivalry heated up!!! Bring it on Tomlin? If you fight Mike in a back alley, don't break his Ray-bans and watch out for trip moves !!! LOL

Hey, he's the one that told Harbaugh that they would "fight this one out on the field"...  I guess he's good at that.

Of course he is. We know all Steelers players, coaches and fans are bad sports, they cheat, they are dirty and they have no class. While all Ravens coaches are Saints, all their players are classy people who only make good, legal, hard hitting plays and all their fans are completely objective and see it just as it is. Also - the entire Ravens organization and fan base know that every flag ever thrown in any of their games is wrong. (Unless its on the other team…especially the Steelers.)

Two things you won't often hear;   "hey, let's go kick those bikers butt"

" I'm thinking of moving to Pittsburgh"

OMG...  I never said that... and my validation just became even more evident...  Cannot even believe you're gonna defend that.

2. Its one of those things you defend if your guy says it and you bash the crap out of Tomlin if he does it.

However, your post is a perfect example of how this stuff works, "whatever our guy does is okay, whatever your guy does is bush league." So who is naive?

. Finally, I never faulted you guys for supporting your coach.

Uh, yeah, you did.

You've repeatedly called us hypocrites for supporting our guy while bashing yours.

In fact you bang that drum a lot around here - like you expect to come onto a Ravens forum and hear us talking about what a great guy Tomlin is.

What others were pointing out is that what Tomlin did to Coby, and what he allowed on Sunday are WAY more egregious than Harbs just saying something, Those two incidents in games WERE bush-league, intentional or not, so the comparisons YOU brought up are meaningless.

Guess what - I love our guy, I love my Ravens, and I can't stand Tomlin.

That doesn't make me a hypocrite, that makes me a FAN.

Maybe just maybe, he might be objective and some of the fans here are drinking the purple concentrate without adding water...

Some can see the faults in their team and have no problem admitting it. Some here are like stubborn parents backing their child even when they're wrong.

That redrum is an irrational comparison....  but then again...  everyone is entitled to their opinions.  No one opinion is EVER wrong...  it's an opinion.  And that's what these boards are about.  It's not about who's right or wrong.  And that is indicative of why we have some of the discussions we have... and why all "opinion sites" and editorials require oversight,  Because regardless, some always believe that the other opinion is wrong....

Miriam-Webster...  Opinion:

1a :  a view, judgment, or appraisal formed in the mind about a particular matter

2a :  belief stronger than impression and less strong than positive knowledge
b :  a generally held view

3a :  a formal expression of judgment or advice by an expert
b :  the formal expression (as by a judge, court, or referee) of the legal reasons and principles upon which a legal decision is based

I'll agree with that, but many try to present their opinion as fact without anything to back it.

Yes, they do!  And because someone supports their team/coach, makes them a fan, not an expert.

The Steelers dude isn't a bad guy, just some here are close minded and have jaded views on just about everything in life, including their football team.

I disagree with his take on the Tomlin trip, but he's been more rational than a lot of posters in this thread.
