Steeler fan--- You can't beat us in the playoffs!

Fan of any NFL team-- It's hard to beat you in the playoffs when you can't make the tournament.

The steelers won't be getting in this year either.

Are you serious B?  You are really delusional if you don't think that your guy and organization doesn't have an obsession with the Ravens organization from top to bottom.

I didn't say that you made those claims B I was just speaking in general.  However, that "nameless gray" faces quote for the Ravens or any other team is disrespectful but you guys are cool with that right?  Of course you are!  So as a Ravens fan I'm cool with Harbaugh saying that the team that beat us last week got their asses kick this week-cause they did!  And any time the Ravens win and the steelers lose....that's great television.

Dang, X….Are you calling me a Bro or a B?

Couldn't care less about the statement. What I hate is the media presence in the locker room right after the game. These guys are giving everything for 60 mins, the locker room should be a sanctuary to relax and shower. Instead, the media piles in as soon as they can and bombard everyone. Its even worse in Hockey, I wish teams would speak out against it, its not good for the players.

I will say, that's one thing I like about Rex Ryan, he would of said something like that and then not apologize or take it back or complain that it wasnt suppose to be aired.

It's a division rival, it's understandable you want them to get whooped.

Gatorade baths over regular season wins…bringing up Steelers in non-Steeler game locker room speech…etc, etc…not blind or arrogant…just the facts, ma'am.

I really am not so sure this speech was about some sort of Steelers obsession ... but about the ups and downs of the NFL season and not letting any one week's results define you. I think it would be entirely possible that the same comment would be made if they got their butts handed to them by any team a week ago and then had the tables turn the next week.

Now, whether CBS would have bothered to "mistakenly" air it had it not been the Steelers, I'm not so sure. I think they wanted to fuel rivalry and fire up their 100% biased panel member (the one with the caterpillar on his upper lip)

I agree and hate the fact that something was said about CBS shouldn't have aired it as well.  Coach said it..so what?  He spoke the truth so deal with it!

Don't see why it would be upsetting...it's true.

Not even sure why John would want it off the record

Because he knows that Squeeler fans will cry.

Let's play devil's advocate: If we blew out the Steelers last week and then lost this week, would we have this same "who cares?" reaction if Tomlin said we got our buts kicked? Serious question. I know the answer.

Don't care either way. I find humor in how it's being viewed as if we only played them once this year. It's not like we beat them by 20 earlier and kept them out of the end zone. But whatever makes for us to be the bad guy and return us to the dark side. As suggs would tell everyone we play better when hated on...

I take it you haven't seen harbaugh response then

He didn't apologize either. But no go ahead and praise Ryan for being a guy who says so much in the media, who has retracted a few things as well.

I'll take the wins but if your desire is bravado well good for you

I really don't give a rat's behind what the Steelers or their fans think about what Harbaugh said nor what they think in general. Harbaugh didn't say this in a public interview. He said it in the privacy of their locker room where it should have stayed. He does have the right to say what he wants to his team and if Steeler fans got their sensitive panties twisted over it, well that makes it all the sweeter.

This is a non-story.  All coaches say stuff like this all the time off-record.  The fact that SeeBS made such a gaff and ESPN saw fit to rub salt in that wound is actually more of a story.

A couple thoughts:

1. What's said behind closed doors is a non-issue. This got out…so people are going to react.

2. Its one of those things you defend if your guy says it and you bash the crap out of Tomlin if he does it.

3. Mostly, it shows what an obsession with the Steelers your organization has…top to bottom. (I know, I know, I'm in here so whats my obsession..guess what, I'm not the head coach.)

4. In spite of recent success, in spite of a more recent super bowl,  in the glow of a nice win and getting back on track…your guy is thinking still about the Steelers…I kinda like that!

You are most certainly entitled to your opinion, but if you really think that behind closed doors your organization does not talk trash about us, I hope you don't take offense, but I find that to be a little naïve. I personally find it funny that a Steelers fan would have the nerve to cry foul after the stunt Tomlin pulled last season, stepping onto the field to prevent one of our players from scoring a touchdown. IMHO, that was the epitome of bush league!

I didn't cry foul. Show me where in my post I cried foul?  And in spite of what is being said on here…a lot of people in the Steelers forum have said its not a big deal or, "well, we did get our behinds kicked so he told the truth." Steelers fever forum didn't say all that much about it (one short thread) and a lot of the posts had no issue with it. However, your post is a perfect example of how this stuff works, "whatever our guy does is okay, whatever your guy does is bush league." So who is naive?

I should have substituted "a" Steelers fan with "any" Steelers fan, because I meant "in general." Personally as a Ravens fan, I am not going to create an account on the Steelers website and say anything negative about their organization, it is not how I roll. And for the record I am married to a diehard Steelers fan, who grew up in Pittsburgh. I guess if you are a fan of the Steelers, you are going to see things slanted your way, and as a Ravens fan, I am going to see things my way. Personally I find nothing horrible about what our coach said in the locker room with his guys, but I will respect your difference of opinion.

Apples and oranges, dude.

What our guy did WAS no big deal, merely speaking the truth.

What your guy did was a blatant violation of the rules in an attempt to prevent a score, and had the potential to cause serious injury. Not even close to the same thing.

And really, who cares what they're saying on Steelers Fever? Because we're not going there to argue with you. you are on OUR fan site calling US out for supporting our guys, which is the very definition of fandom.

Try showing a little more respect.

If I misinterpreted your nonsense maybe it is because your writing is full of [profanity deleted].

Again you praised Rex for being a blowhard over what you thought harbaugh did. So I pointed out to you that your attempt to say one doesn't apologize for what's out there and the other does is false and your response isn't even to address that. Its to keep showing you're full of not air.

Like Ryan you lack substance

Actually, there are always Ravens fans on the Steeler forum.  I was responding directly to a post commenting on what Steeler fans were supposedly saying. So you may not care, but it was part of the conversation in here.  Second, you're just wrong about Mike.  He did not try to trip Jones…period. He jumped to move out of the way, planting your foot to do that is exactly the movement one would expect in that situation. Its only apples and oranges because you see it through purple glasses. When you really think about it, its a pretty silly accusation. Finally, I never faulted you guys for supporting your coach. Go look at my original post. Or maybe you should follow the whole thread. That would be a bit more respectful than making accusations that don't fit the tenor of the conversation. Fact is, when I come in here, 99% of the time I comment in the "other teams" section or threads that are directly about the Steelers. When you guys won it all, I came in and offered congratulations. I think your "respect" lecture is misguided.

It was funny watching it live on TV. Cbs took the reality show approach and even included the 7second dealy after he asked the camera not to record and the camera shook like a nod of agreement and he kept filming anyways haha.
