I AM LEGEND

CBS mistakenly airs John Harbaugh's Steelers jab..

I guess during a locker room speech where John was telling the guys about other games in the NFL he took a little jab at the steelers that CBS had promised the Ravens wouldnt air. I only know about this because when I went to the Steelers forum to see them sulk in their misery they were really "upset" about it.

What did he say exactly?

Its in the link but basically I guess he was giving the team a rundown about how other teams did today and he said about the steelers something like "oh yea that team that beat us last week got their a$$ beat today" something along those lines.

Even though that might have been a network flub, I know that ESPN couldn't possibly have headlined the article of John Harbaugh with a picture of Jim Harbaugh wearing a 49ers cap.

I am fine with it.

I am NOT fine with CBS back stabbing the Ravens like that.

Oh,,,, they issued an apology ?  Well that and a dollar twenty five will get you a cup of coffee.

Thought it was awesome

Did you see it live?  Wish I did.  It's those moments that make watching post games fun.  You finally see the real personalities instead of the PC crap they usually present to the media.

Also, screw the Steelers.  Tomlin was glowing last week and couldn't get that damn smug grin off his face.  If I'm Harbaugh, I'm calling Rex personally to thank him.

Sick of being disrespected. I know it shouldn't matter, and it is par for the course, but I really am getting tired of major media outlets acting like they can ignore or disrespect this franchise.

So what?  He told the truth!  Besides, they should be upset over losing to the Jets instead of worry about what our coach had to say!

Yup, had CBS on because the Fox game was boring - think it was still the Cowboys/Jags. They played the clip and I busted out laughing

nuthin' but truth. It's not like he said anything specifically derogatory about the squealers. He said they got their butts kicked, so what.

I've wondered for years the record of teams the week after playing the Ravens. Maybe it's a misplaced perception, but it does seem that many don't play well immediately after playing us.

I'd bar CBS from my locker room and in reality why are non-team camera crews in the locker rooms anyways? Sometimes there is too much information, let them get dressed and showered in peace.

I love it. It's perfect that it comes off as an accident (and it is). Steelers comments are funny over there too. Too bad there's no way they lose to the Titans.

Honestly, I don't see the controversy other than CBS airing it unrightfully (new word ftw), even non-Ravens fans are saying "Ok, so what's the story?"  It was a good win, and that team that got their *** kicked doesn't scare me as much as the media would suggest.

Let's play devil's advocate: If we blew out the Steelers last week and then lost this week, would we have this same "who cares?" reaction if Tomlin said we got our buts kicked? Serious question. I know the answer.

I wouldn't care if Tomlin said that. Those things generally don't bother me.

Not me, either. But I can imagine the fanbase erupting if that classless jerk Tomlin did such an unprofessional thing like that.

We'd much rather have that win. But in the moment we would be saying the same things as the Steelers fans. Probably not on these boards, as forum rules are obviously different, but I guarantee overall reactions would be similar.

I would care bc anytime the Steelers talk smack it's something worth caring about, that's what rivalries consist of.  It would, however, be a non-story as far as controversy goes.

Let's play!

First, when Tomlin was asked about his preparation for the Steelers vs. Ravens game, I believe apart of his response was; "They (Ravens) are nameless, gray-faces!"  Remember, in the game they were already up towards the end of the game and Tomlin still went for another TD which could have been perceived as running up the score in order to embarrass the Ravens on national tv by Harbaugh.  And secondly, after the game during his presser I also believe that Tomlin said; "They beat us pretty bad the first game by 20 and we just beat them by 20...so now we're even!  And people are upset over what Harbaugh had to say?  Please!  I loved his backbone and passion to say it!
