I have a good feeling about this game.

So do I. New Orleans is not a very solid team. Their defense is mediocre. I am worried about that Jimmy Graham matchup though...and Colsten could definitely feast on our secondary. It'll be interesting. We just gotta stay physical up front and cover those short routes.

Yes , lets play soft 10yards off zone coverage against Brees on everydown with their weapons and OL. That sounds like a terrific idea.

That has nothing to do with the blitz. If you blitz a lot then you're going to give up a big play and you had better hope it hits home or else it'll be six. With the downfield weapons they have in Graham, Cooks and Colston to an extent, you need your coverage. Honestly, this is a game where I think Upshaw or Arthur Brown could be very important. I think Arthur Brown could be our best counter to Graham, but that's based off of last year. He admittedly hasn't done much this year.

Did anyone say that ? You don't blitz Brees frequently and he's gonna pick a weak secondary apart .

Nah. I was being sarcastic because sometimes people think the solution is to blitz. It's not always the answer. The problem is if you do blitz him frequently then he will definitely pick our secondary apart. You'll leave guys open and that will be a problem against him. I think the best idea is using Daryl on a lot of A gap blitzes and Elam with the safety blitz. But that's something you save.

Saints offensive line can't handle our defensive line, the beating will start up front, and our secondary will capitalize..

They have Grubbs and Evans. That's a really nice interior and Armstead has looked better in his sophomore year.

Grubbs and Evans are allowing a ton of pressure this year. They are both in the bottom 10 of all guards in the league in all types of pressure allowed and their tackles aren't far behind. Not sure why this unit is so bad. Really only great pressure defenses they have faced this far are Detroit and San Francisco.

Yeah, I haven't watched any of their games this year. Only going off of past years, but I will take your word on it.

It surprised me, too, but someone earlier said the line as a whole ranks 30th in the league in terms of allowing pressure. That's crazy.

Beating Brees would be a miracle with our secondary .

We need bonafide Baltimore nuns to say the rosary right before the game televised on the NFL Red Zone channel. Thats how you get a miracle!

You have great attitude.  I'm with you.

Prior to the game, We have to keep our guys away from the mighty rad gumbo. NO food can corrupt a good stomach.

I really wish we had jimmy smith going into New Orleans......

That would be cool.  However, Gorrer is the only other secondary guy besides Jimmy to INT in our 10 games. Perhaps Brooks and Hill can give Jimmy some INT balls.

Cooks is the 3rd and slealthy reciever. If Brees is just touching 6 foot in height would it be logical to have every D lineman hands up when he throws?  Does Brees play in the shotgun?

I see you are true devoted Flacco fans in Philly.  Last night no light went out in your town. Only the Panthers lights went out.  That was devastation.

Does this post count since it's not purple?

Brees is more than used to his height and more than capable of finding throwing lanes

Still, I'd expect Ngata to bat a couple done maybe. He has a knack for it

Jacoby can handle it . He's from there .

The rest of the team is doubtful .

Excellent.  You know me for purple letter coloring and my off the wall humor. . Yea it always counts black or purple  +team colors  :)  Could Brees be a carbon copy Of the Canadian Famed  Doug Flutie?, Those two.Wilson,Vick,Tarkenton, Sonny Jurgenson are/were  average height guys without fear.

We will need to win this game and others against good QBs the same way we did during our Super Bowl run which was offense. I think our defense will be okay. That 6 TD performance against the Steelers was an anomaly but they won't shut down an elite QB without Jimmy. This game is on the offense to deliver.

Watching the NFL Replay of the Saints vs 49ers and the Ravens CBs are not going to be able to play 15 yds off the line of scrimmage. Brees gets the ball out entirely too fast and he penalizes defenses for blitzing.

Watching that, too, and agree.

The most positive thing I saw in Sunday's game was Levine and Gorrer playing much tighter coverage than we've seen previously, I was very impressed with Levine.

The other thing is not to focus so much on Graham that we lose sight of Brandin Cooks. I've seen a few of their games, and that kid is simply amazing. He dropped in the draft because of his size, but he more than makes up for it in speed, precision, technique and heart. They got Drew a total gem in Cooks.

Attack Drew Brees. His Wr's are really talented. Falling into coverage just won't work. Jimmy Graham, Brandon Cooks, and Marques Colston. Drew Brees is the last guy you'd want to give time to. Hopefully they recognize that.

It all comes down to who needs it more. If Baltimore wins this game, they win the division.

You can't give Brees time, his receivers will make you pay for it, plus the CB's haven't performed well against elite QB's so in my opinion what'll you lose from blitzing Brees?

That's so ironic, I was devastated when Baltimore let Grubbs go, worked out for the best, just like not signing Evan Mathis.

KO is more of a complete player than Mathis, I think by next year he might even pass Yanda as the best guard in the NFL. Its rough for a lot of teams when your D linemen just get pancaked by KO and Yanda. haha

LOL, hopefully, I loved how K.O knocked out that Squeelers player, made the game better :(

Yeah, Mathis is good but I think his age will show in the future.

I think the biggest gripe I have on KO is health. He can't seem to stay healthy lately. Last year and now this year he has been out due to injuries. That's honestly not something to take lightly. I love KO, don't get me wrong. He plays great, but Yanda has been pretty consistent throughout his career and I don't recall him missing many games.
