Hopefully lick our wounds a bit, give our new secondary pieces more time to adjust (though I thought they did very well today after settling in) and take a well rested and rejuvenated group into NO.

Use this week to start scouting DB's for next years draft.

We have games to plan for first.

Quick game-by-game review:

Week 1: vs. Cincinnati Bengals (L 23-16)

Felt completely like the 2013 Ravens team all over again; offense got off to an extremely slow start, showed up in the last few minutes, and ended up too little too late. It was fair to ask if we'd even have a chance at reaching the playoffs based on this performance alone.

Week 2: vs. Pittsburgh Steelers (W 26-6)

Probably my favorite win of the season, seeing as we needed it to boost our morale and overcome the adversity of not only Week 1's loss, but the Ray Rice scandal as well. A nice, much-needed win against our hated rival.

Week 3: at Cleveland Browns (W 23-21)

Believe it or not, the only game so far we've won by a close margin. It was a nail-biter throughout the whole affair, and at first I didn't think we'd come out on top, but when Cundiff's field goal was blocked, I knew we had a fighting chance. It was a solid first road win against a division rival that may really help us down the road...

Week 4: vs. Carolina Panthers (W 38-10)

After this blowout victory, I was convinced we were a good team. Flacco was on fire through the whole thing, and the defense was very solid too. It was an excellent home win, and a great revenge game for Steve Smith Sr. 3-1!

Week 5: at Indianapolis Colts (L 20-13)

Call me a traitor, but I picked us to lose going into this one; and lose we did. Offense was completely out of shape, and it just goes to show how much weaker of a team we are on the road. Fortunately our defense wasn't too shabby so it was a close game, but turnovers killed us and it was just an unsurprising loss.

Week 6: at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (W 48-17)

Needless to say, a great rebound victory to grab our second road win. Flacco had his historic stint with 5 quick touchdowns; always nice to have those "Flacco is elite" days. Defense let up in the second half, but overall, it was just a ton of fun to dominate a team so much, even though it was a bad one.

Week 7: vs. Atlanta Falcons (W 29-7)

What a defensive outing! Flacco's two picks were really disappointing, but at least he had two touchdowns to match them. Flacco also did get the higher QBR over Ryan, so that was nice bragging rights. 5-2 - what could possibly go wrong?

Week 8: at Cincinnati Bengals (L 27-24)

If there's any particular game that will come back to haunt us late in the season, it is undoubtedly this one. We had so many chances to win, even after a crummy first half; without question, this was the most upsetting loss for me this season. Swept by the Bengals hurts a lot.

Week 9: at Pittsburgh Steelers (L 43-23)

The road woes continue; it started off so well with 7-0 and a great defensive outing in Quarter 1, but all went downhill from there. Roethlisberger exposed our atrocious secondary, and our offense wasn't able to match theirs. I didn't expect us to win this one, but losing by 20 to our arch rival obviously did hurt.

Week 10: vs. Tennessee Titans (W 21-7)

Another 2013 Ravens-esque outing in the first half. I didn't think we could possibly lose this one, and fortunately the second half backed that point. Obviously a crucial win heading into the bye week, after two painful division losses. 6-4 isn't that bad of a record, but I think we can still improve and make a run at the playoffs; we just have to play our best and continue to build. Pittsburgh losing to the Jets didn't hurt either, though...

I cannot believe the Steelers got throttled by the Jets. The division is really wide open. We're in last but only a half game back from the first place Browns.

believe it or not, i picked the Jets to win it, some told me Rex have Big ben's number since he faced twice a year here B-more.

That loss that sticks in my crawl is still Week One. I really wish we would have closed the door on them at home after coming back to take the lead. 7-3, first place, having beaten all three division teams... That would all make a world of difference in the level of comfort I have at the moment. However, if you told me when the schedule came out that we'd be 6-4 going into the bye with the competition looking a bit light towards season's end, I would take it.

We can end up in the first place if the other teams lose. That would be weird but nice at the same time.

Edit. Wait I think Browns would still lead the division. Well the second place would be nice too.

Both Cinci games turned on one play at the end and could have easily been wins. 8 - 2 would have been ideal, but considering our division's remaining schedule and their present level of play, 6 - 4 could be manageable. Ironically, the Brownies seem to be the team we need to worry about. It's good that our one remaining divisional game is against them at home.

I'm like 100 percent sure our scouts have already been doing that, but I'm sure Ozzie needed that advice.

Joe needs his confidence back asap. We go were he goes.

I did. Flu maybe. Bye comes in handy if players get sick.

Not saying it's likely, but this could be the greatest bye week in the history of the league. The Ravens have an actual chance to move from last place all the way to first place without even playing. That's crazy. Makes me smile just thinking about it.

That is........if the Texans, Saints, and Titans cooperate.

To be fair, I think Tennessee could be very effective against Pittsburgh. They have typically given Pittsburgh trouble in the past. When you consider that they have Ray Horton, of whom I am very certain coached at Pittsburgh, and you have a deadly matchup with the potential to beat the Steelers.

I think Cincinnati plays the Saints in New Orleans in the dome, and I honestly think it's a game the Saints could win considering they just lost a close one with the Niners. Then the Browns will be truly tested against JJ Watt, who could very well make Hoyer make some big mistakes.

I agree with everything you said. I'm just speaking more from an "anything can happen so hopefully we get some help" type of mentality.

I'd take one out of the three, be very happy with two out of those three, and off the wall if we can will all three to happen.

Last to first while sitting on the couch? That'd be too good.

I wonder if the Brees era Saints have ever lost 3 in a row at the Superdome?

A win next week then a loss on MNF sounds like the ticket.

No, we'd be in first if everyone lost. Both we and the Browns would be 6-4 but we'd have the tiebreaker.

That loss was their first since 2011 - something like a 19 game streak. I'm thinking that's a no but don't know for certain.

Saints will need that win next week.

Yes, you are right. I was watching the wrong column from the scoreboard.

I saw that Jah Reid broke his hand in practice I believe. Can you talk about a bust?

And Elam has lost his starting job.

It's said that everyone else except for our coaching squad seems to be done with that kid (Jah, that is, not Elam).
